- Join members of the Central Texas Wing to discuss their recent project of turning an authentic 1940s-era C-47 Cockpit into a high-tech flyable simulator. Mixing veteran historic aircraft maintainers with high-tech engineers produced a remarkable simulator modeled after the historic D-Day C-47, That's All, Brother. You’ll have to see to believe.

Awesome. Well done, great way to mix the old with the new and draw people in to appreciate aviation and these pieces of history
The fidelity appears to be incredible... Great work Joe!

Thank you.
Just one of the cool things about the Centex Wing hangar in San Marcos!
One of the many. 😎
This is insanely impressive! As someone to gets to fly these in a professional organization in IFR and other areas this is such a great training aid! Well done! I really want to come fly this in person.
Thanks a lot!
Absolutely stunning. As a CAF member, I can‘t wait to check out whether I would be able to fly a Dakota. Again, kudos to the CAF for sharing!
Thanks a ton!
Amazing project.👌Kudos to everyone involve to it.👍
I use X-Plane 11 the Mobile version and I have just added the livery of "That's All Brother" on the C-47.
I made a reenact video from the 75th Anniversary of D-Day.
I'm not a real pilot, only an aircraft engineer who likes to fly simulators.
Well done!!
Thanks.
Very cool; I'd really like to fly this box.
Right?
Do I assume correctly that this is the world’s only life sized C-47 simulator? This is quite an accomplishment. Thanks to all involved. I hope to get a few minutes in it sometime.

Hi George - there is one other that we are aware of in the Netherlands. It's a fantastic, fully certified fixed base simulator. It's set up as a slightly more "modern" DC-3 cockpit, but they have done a great job and were a great guidepost for this project.
You guys are to be complemented, I flew in a C47 out of RAF base Hendon ‘41 as an air cadet…..
Thank you for your service!
@@CAFMediaTV kind of you….
