These girls deserve so much more recognition. I can’t get over the fact that they only have 100k fans on YT. The product is supreme, maybe who is in charge of their promotion and distribution should ask for help. Lovebites should take over millions of old school metal fans all over the world. They are far better than most of the band I grew up with. Thanks for keeping on reacting to them Wave 🐺🤘🏻
They played this The Awakening + Hammer of Wrath for the opener of Wacken Open Air 2018 and the streaming studio live Awake Again from The Studio Abyss 2020 as well.
Great reaction Wave. You noted Harmonic minor and Phrygian major right away. Byzantine would be double harmonic minor. It's possible they have both harmonic and double harmonic minor in the song. Midori's solo starts out reminding me of Ritchie Blackmore from Rainbow's song Stargazer which was written in Harmonic minor and Phrygian Major. Gates of Babylon from Rainbow also uses Harmonic Minor. If you are not familiar with Rainbow's Stargazer, it is an epic song. Even if you know the song it would be worth revisiting.
Hello from France: These two tracks form the introduction to the second part of the concert played at Zepp Divercity Tokyo 2020. They are also the opening of their first album "Awakening from Abyss" Awakening is composed by Miyako and "Hammer of Wrath" by Miho and Mao, lyrics Miho [Ces deux morceaux forment l'introduction à la seconde partie du concert joué à Zepp Divercity Tokyo 2020. React to their MV song When Destinies Align, this song was first reacted by Dicodec(Alan&Eric) and their mind were blown off by Midori & Miyako solo's.....
LOVEBITES - The Hammer Of Wrath lyrics: What's the worst way to die? Burning to death, or drowning? Everyone laughs in derision There's no hope at all Why is the world rotting away Howling in pain, they slowly die All of the sorrow is murderous The insanity (Burn up) They're calling me (Burn up) It's do or die (Burn up) Get ready for hell (Bring down justice to the wicked) Don't look away from the mistakes Open your eyes, and see the truth When lightning cracks the blackened sky Listen to the screams of distress It's like a bad dream but it's not No way to get out, a living nightmare Bring down the Hammer of Wrath Who will be the next to burn? God only knows the victim Everyone knows they are innocent All the hope is gone In despair they pass away There was no hope to begin with Even the angels are giving up Looking down on us Will this night ever break dawn (Bring down justice to the wicked) SOLO: midori / mi-ya [miyako] What's the worst way to die? Great reaction, Wave, and sorry to miss the livestreaming. The Awakening (after the symphonic introduction) is based soley on a four-note motive (d e-flat c d) that's hard to miss. This pattern occurs throughout many of Lovebites' songs to make me believe it's a signature motif, such as in Hammer of Wrath, e.g., Miho's quick solos before the refrain. The guitar riff under Midori's solo is an embellishment of that motif. The idea behind the motif (surrounding a main note with pitches just above and below it) is, I think, to represent wolves encircling their prey. Sometimes the figure is inverted, i.e., wolves changing direction. Nearly half their songs quote this pattern, the most recent during the instrumental bridge in Dystopia Symphony. The new album seems to have moved away from this idea, except when it appears twice in Dissonance in its inverted form, highlighted by Haruna's bell. I haven't come across anything in interviews or commentary about their music to support this theory (if others have, let me know), but it's just the thing astute songwriters would sneak into their music wondering if others would pick up on it. What do you and others think?
That ending, chills every time!! This is their thrash metal side, great couple opening songs for the first album!! 🤘🐺🤘 Byzantine, cool, always learning with Wave!! 😁 Always had an Arabic feel to me, sounds so cool!!
All of my favourite Lovebites songs turn out to be composed by Miyako, whether I knew it or not to begin with haha. I love all their stuff, but Miyako really is the Golden Touch.
Miho Miho Miho! ok 2 things 1. See they are not just Powermetal like people misjudge them to be 2. This song proves that Miho did get some spotlight (and on their first album no less) and their new album is a NOT a change of direction (or as much as some would believe).

that´s, why they are the best.
One can't help but to love these ladies ! There is no band ( including all my 70's&80's metal/rock gods ) that can keep up with Lovebites 🤘🔥🔥🔥🐺🇿🇦🤘
Well said.

🐺🤘🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 Phenomenal
Always nice to see -Miho the great- in action 🤘

great bass
So satisfying..🤤
To paraphrase David Bowie I'm in tears when 'they' rock n roll with me...I'm in tears"🤟🐺🙏❣
"We play Heavy Metal". But they are made of something much harder. Doing this, and two more huge epics, after an hour and a half at warp speed? Nuts.
The Hammer of Wrath is one of my favourites.. It just oooozes Testament as it starts off!
My favorite riff by Lovebites

I believed it’s an encore
this is pure Anthrax tribute....mmmm....delicious.
🤘🐺🐺🐺🐺🐺🤘
tsk tsk. No Miho love Wave, what a girl gotta do to get some attention??? :D
Exasperating reaction stopping the video without care (especially for your lousy guitar). Be more respectful to the artists !
Err... It's a reaction channel and he was reacting...?
