Yes, they're picky even when it comes to treats. They prefer chicken over duck duck goose! They'll only take the latter if they can't find the former. ;)
The point is to provide mental stimulation. In the wild, they would have to hunt for their food. But as pets, their food is provided in an easily accessible bowl. It's important to provide opportunities for them to exercise their brain as well as their body.
They get Duck Duck Goose and Instinct Raw Boost Chicken Toppers. Very spoiled wezuls! ^_^ we also used to give them freeze dried minnows and shrimp, but everyone decided they much prefer the chicken and goose.

I think it's a great little activity for them, ferrets are really curious and love these kinds of things! What kind of treats are you feeding?
