The over-arching plot of the show finally gets teased. This is where things are about to get more interesting. It has edginess but just enough so that its kinda cool and not overbearing.
Also this is kinda random but I love that Sung Il-hwan (Jinwoo's dad) has the same Japanese VA as Emiya Kiritsugu from my favorite anime of all time, Fate/Zero
@@envybe248 no idea who that was, but Il-Hwan's VA is Koyama Rikiya aka Yamato in Naruto, Starrk in Bleach, Dante in Black Clover, Billy Tristan in Undead Unluck etc.

This whole thing with hid dad wanting to prevent the catastrophe which could potentially be Jinwoo reminds me how the system is just casually giving Jinwoo quests to kill humans when they are hostile to him. So if people fear him and go after him, the normal thing would be to defend himself and deescalate the situation but with these quests and the fact that he gains a lot more XP from humans I think will create like a routine and just normalizing murder for him. So if his dad knows a person like this exists, it makes sense why he would be worried
Yeah seems like the case. That line mentioning "Catastrophe" is maybe the system and Jinwoo being the one who "devour and use them against us" killing & using shadows something that could become a problem if he turns evil is surely what his dad is talking about. Worried about the fact that it doesn't turn into dad son fighting each other without knowing who they are & things going south, like JJK. Would love if his dad maybe knows about the system or shares some big lore to us.
I hope he learns to in this case But imo the purpose of the fight and the emotions of the characters in JJK were different (I know you’re just drawing an example, so I’m not really arguing, just giving my opinion) *JJK S2 SPOILERS* But the fact that Toji sacrificed himself to save his son, without his son knowing, is exactly the kind of thing good parents do for their children all the time. Sacrifice their own potential jobs, relationships, hobbies, etc. they sacrifice themselves so that their child can hopefully have a better life, and often times, the kid has no idea how lucky they are. I think that was the emotional core of the Toji v Megumi fight and how it ended up. It’s bitter sweet that megumi didn’t even know what he lost or what could have been, but got to go on anyways TLDR: Toji v megumi is peak anime dad shit, and sung jinwoo vs his dad has a completely different message
It would be a literal wrap if the system keeps making him stronger and then one day he is given quests like, "Assassinate x person or your heart will stop." because in theory this thing could 100% consume Sung and then basically hold him hostage.
With this pace they can adapt the entire season 1 on the manhwa . Even if they slow down they can definitely cover the jeju island arc. Next episode will start the revaluation arc. And Thomas appears before jeju island but face was hidden and we see him fully in aftermath of jeju island.
