They're currently warning of riptides on some of Ohio's Lake Erie shores now through Thursday. Riptides aren't that common on our lake shores in Ohio, so I'm pretty sure it's related to Hurricane Ida as She's dying out and moving northerly/northeasterly, but I'm going to head out on Friday at low tide and maybe I'll find something similar to those "cuts" you showcased here. I've been detecting for years, but I'm more of woodsmen and I'm only now learning the proven beach techniques.

The cuts is the way to go.... love when the rock and mud start to show!! Been working area of rock and mud for a couple of weeks now... lots of nice old stuff down it all them rocks!! Take care Mike and GL&HH
