  • Magic Kingdom was the original theme park at Walt Disney World, and it also happens to be the highest attended theme park in the world. This park features six highly themed lands filled with roller coasters and a bevy of dark rides. This video talks about why this park is so popular and offers tips for your visit.

It is far too complicated to try and enjoy your day at a Disney World Park. Spending that much money to be on a vacation and then spending so much of your day on your phone trying to strategically plan out your fun is just not worth it IMO.

I get that some don't find the hassle worth it. I love the park.

I find that at places like this, a large part of the attitude necessary to enjoy them is to realize that you're probably not going to do everything that you want to do. He says 2 days is what you need to really do MK, and I'd agree, except how many people actually have that kind of time, unless they're European visitors who get a month vacation? There are 4 giant theme parks, 2 water parks and a host of side and upcharge activities at Walt Disney World, and exploring all that at high intensity is going to burn most people out unless they take break days to mostly bob around in the heavily themed pool. Most American guests, in practice, have less than a week there. You actually have to triage.

As someone who is really adverse to paying for LL, I don't like having two virtual queue rides in one park. You have to get lucky twice with virtual queue, AND have your callback for the first ride before 1PM.

I think the best way to do it is to go for Tron first (since more people go for Tiana at 7). You're likely to get an early return time for Tron, making Tiana at 1 clear.

Regardless of what's going on at disney, magic kingdom will always hold a special place in my heart. I love the theming and immersion it provides that's just timeless. I love how old school rides, like haunted mansion, have aged very well with its use of practical effects. There's a certain energy and vibe at MK that I don't get at the parks in FL.

I hate that you can’t visit this park without being on your phone all day anymore. The fact that about 15 minutes of this video is just talking about how to have a decent day from an experts perspective shows how broken WDW is currently

I came to the park way back in 2003, my rides included: Big thunder, Space mountain, Alien encounter, Spaceranger spin, Pirates, Haunted Mansion, Dumbo, Jungle cruise, Autopia, Kingdom Railway, and the Main street Electric parade+Fantasy in the sky Fireworks

The parks are still great. The nostalgia (born in 1990) is still there for me. I just prefer not to deal with the hassle of being on my phone 90% of the time to ride a ride. But again, the parks are still great.

Space mountain is so janky and the supports are so low, they feel like an endless series of headchoppers. They are the only headchoppers that make me flinch. It's almost like the older it gets, the more intense the ride feels.

l work at WDW and I still enjoyed this video. Your tips are pretty good, but I have to say I prefer Liberty Tree Tavern and Skipper Canteen over Crystal Palace. Tiana’s is not the best ride in the park … that’s still Pirates

...Incidentally, if you're anywhere else in the world and you see "Dole Soft Serve" on offer, that is identical to the Dole Whips served at Disney parks (I think the name "Dole Whip" may be exclusive). You can get them in the waterpark area at Canobie Lake Park.
Country Bear Jamboree apparently just got a major upgrade, preserving the quaint and peculiar (some would say off-putting) look of the show to a remarkable degree, but replacing the songs with Disney songs and upgrading the animatronics. It's been getting surprisingly rave reviews.

I did the WDW College Program in the early 2000s and worked here. While Disneyland is better, I think MK is an amazing park and confusingly underrated. And I'm not just referring to coaster enthusiasts. A lot of people brush this park off as either being just for kids or being overcrowded and unimpressive. I realize that it can be crowded and Disney in general has become overpriced. But Magic Kingdom is still spectacular. There are so many excellent world class attractions there. Obviously, if coasters are your focus it isn't necessarily going to be your thing but I don't know how many people actually walk into MK thinking they are going to a thrill park so it's not like anyone comes away feeling misled or disappointed.
I only wish that it had the same attention to detail and extra nooks and crannies that you find at Disneyland. But at least MK didn't screw up its Tomorrowland the way Disneyland did years ago.

I Still very much. Enjoyed my time in Magic Kingdom. Yes, it’s a hassle to get in and leave because you know it’s not accessible by car walking to it but the attractions atmosphere rides just totally make up for it. Also gets criticized for being not as exciting if you’re not a kid, but that is so not true. I still have a great time here and there are plenty of rides that keep me entertained even though I’m not 10 and under, my favorite Disney World park behind Epcot

This is easily the best Disney park in Florida because of its nostalgia and because it has the biggest ride lineup of all WDW parks and a great mix between modern and classic attractions. If you have only one day in Walt Disney World, this is where you want to spend the day at.

Animal Kingdom's reputation has been rehabilitated to the point that many people now call it the best Walt Disney World park, but while I love Animal Kingdom, I still think Magic Kingdom is the best of the four. The sheer *number* of rides there is huge compared to all the others, and that has to count for something.

Magic Kingdom I feel is the best when it has its special events like 4th of July and New Years Eve. Rockin' Space Mountain is probably the most fun holiday overlays of any coaster and Fantasy in the Sky during that time has its fireworks significantly buffed and with an iconic soundtrack to boot. Its still a great park during other times of the year, but the holiday events are truly an amazing experience unmatched by most other places in the US

My biggest doubts about this park sre whether I'd get same value for money when I already have Disneyland Paris nearer me and Tokyo Disney resort is right at the top of my bucket list, so I likely will have already experienced a space mountain and a pirates and a haunted mansion and a buzz lightyear and a big thunder mountain, leaving Tron as the only unique ride of interest. Visiting the busiest theme park in the world and military strategising my way after studying a degree in Genie+ doesn't sound so fun for the price paid

Even though I think this is the world´s most iconic theme park, it´s my least favorite Disney World park. I've been visiting this place for the last 15 years in a row, and I never had that good of a time while there, it's so crowded that I just can't enjoy the theming and the immersion that the park offers. I went to Disneyland Paris in December and it was there that I saw the incredible park, theming and immersion that MK could have, but every time I go there I feel like it's more of a "I need to go there before everyone" than an enjoyable park experience.
