Single flue chimney , you cannot have a wood stove and a boiler in the same flue per Maine state code. Oil tanks do not meet code see Maine state codes on tank to tank crossover piping regulations. Boiler is an HB Smith 8 series in the neighborhood of 20 years old.
@@Sean-i4r There is no wood stove in place , so any new wood stove would have to meet current codes . Those codes have existed since the early nineties. If they put one in and there is an issue such has house fire or smoke damage their insurance will not concern it. Secondly if the insurance company finds it in the home they most likely will cancel their policy. Lastly where did you get the idea that anything is “ grandfathered “ in Maine state fire codes. . Please feel free to look them up for yourself.
