Back in 2012, I was made redundant, got a decent package, and turning 40, I decided I was going to take a break for the first time in over 5 years. I went to Dubai for a fortnight, and then Phuket for a month. That feeling you describe about leaving Koh Samui, was the same I felt on my last day in Phuket, before spending a few days in Bangkok. Bags packed, I headed out front of the small hotel that had been home for a month, it only had 10 rooms, and all of the staff were there to say goodbye. Not ashamed to admit that I got quite choked up, and only just held it together long enough to get in the car to take me to the airport. There is something about Thailand, and especially the people, that just gets to you. That's why so many people go back time and time again.
As I said after the first episode I'm visiting Koh Samui in January. You've confirmed the vibes I had already sensed from my research. A big enough island to offer lots but not Phuket sized. It's been great watching Ivy growing in self-confidence. Enjoy Bangkok where I am also visiting after Koh Samui.
I m Thai and really like your all videos, I would like to thanks yours visited with a lot of beautiful comments about my country. Hope you to come back again...we are always welcome. Thank you and very respec yours. (Your daughter very pretty like my daughter.)
I've loved watching your videos of Koh Samui. We go in February and my daughter is the same age as Ivy so it was great to see all the activities for older children. I was so impressed she went to the restaurant by herself when you were ill - you must have been so proud.
Love these comments. Thanks it means a lot and of course… as a Dad… Koh Samui and my daughter went above and beyond. It was actually me who had the drama… but such is life. Thanks for watching and commenting. It really means a lot. Almost 100 subscribers. Thanks to you all.
Brilliant video . And I love the whole idea of the trip , thinking outside the box. There is so much more to life than school. Life experiences and travelling will really open up Ivys eyes to different environments, people and opportunities in life. I certainly felt that , when I first visited Koh Samui , and I was 24 at the time . Well Done
Thanks very much for the comment… it really means a lot and clearly you’re watching the video, getting my theory on how to do life and interacting. I couldn’t ask for me… ✌️
I really like your videos so far and am looking forward to the next one from Bangok. Me and my mom will fly to Koh Panghan, Koh Samui and Banhgok in January for the first time and it gave me some great overall insight :-)
Great to hear. The Bangkok video is taking me a bit longer to edit as it’s an epic video and want to make it count. Samui, Pangnam and Bangkok is gonna be a great holiday. Check our Koh Tao video if you haven’t already. That’s got the ferry to ko pangan. It was a great adventure.
Now I’m addicted to this channel. ❤
