- The Adventures of Hutch the Honeybee, or Honeybee Hutch as the English dub called it, is an anime that was produced by Tatsunoko Productions and originally aired on Fuji Television from 1970-71. It centers on a bee named Hutch as he searches for his mother, who he was separated from after his hive was destroyed by a wasp attack.
An English dub consisting of 65 episodes was produced in 1995 by Saban Entertainment, however, at least in the U.S., it was shown in places where not a lot of people would see it (it aired on a channel from Fox called girlzChannel, which launched in fall 1999 and shut down in August 2000 due to low distribution), resulting in footage being rare. I'm not sure if the English dub aired in other countries (Wikipedia says it aired in Australia on Network Ten and the Australian Nickelodeon, but I haven't been able to verify that), but Saban's edit was exported to other countries and dubbed into their languages.
I put this together by taking video of the Dutch intro and pairing it with audio from Shuki Levy's website. The audio might not be synced with the video exactly the way it should be. I did the best I could and it's probably at least close. If anyone out there has any English episodes, I'd love to see it. - ภาพยนตร์และแอนิเมชัน

Wow nostalgia kicked me in the face like Bruce Lee. Loved this show as a kid. I to watch this again.
It was also aired in Turkey, I remember good old dayz watching FoxKids every morning before going school :,)
This show was played in the Middle East.
I grew up in Kuwait and when I was I think around 10-12, I remember watching an English dub of it and I remember the Saban graphic at the end of each episode. What I also remember much to the dismay of my poor fragile childhood, is that this anime was cruel. Hutch and his friends were always being beaten, robbed, killed, slaughtered, and I distinctly remember that there was at least one rape.
Hutch and the Tatsunoko Pinocchio from the 70's were sadistic as hell. Pinocchio was always being beaten, burned alive, kidnapped or thrown away. I'm probably going to butcher this, but I remember an episode where Pinocchio kills a little kid in a town, then he goes to the mom's house and somehow convinces her to adopt him! Then they get in a fght over him not wanting to go to school and he screams at her that he killed her son. Like wtf this is supposed to be a kid's cartoon not some pseudo-Fruedian art school project.
And man, I used to have a Tatsunoko Pinocchio movie on tape! But I can't find any information online about a Tatsunoko Pinocchio movie.
Tutsunoko anime from the 70's is bizarre.

I remember this show was aired years ago, didn't pay too mucha atention to it. I was more with the action shonen vibe and I used to qualify this kind of anime as "meh, that looks gay". But with the time i realized that some tragically shit was going serious with all of these animations.
I still can't believe that there is some "rape" implication in this kind of cartoons, do you know which episode is?
I also remember one friend told me about some episodes, in those were some sort of rape analogy and the lost of virginity very implicit in the firsts seasons of Sailormoon. Couldn't believe that because I watched the series and I though he was bullshitting me, until I rewatched it again many years later, as an adult already. One of the episodes was where they fight some evil dudes who are using mirrors to sneak within the souls or dream of the people and crush them, etc. And I don't remeber the rest, but it was shocking realizing that i didn't understand many things when i was a kid.

YOU ARE TOTALLY RIGHT! I watched this when I was 7 - 8 y/o. Wtf man it was so traumatic. He was looking for his mom, and I was always sad that he couldnt find her. This was some sadistic series for children for sure!

I have watched the Saban dubbed version of Honeybee Hutch entirely in Italian, because I'm from Florence. These are the original English titles of the episodes from the Saban version. If anyone has some of the English dub recorded I would love to see It.

Man its actually crazy how hard it is to find this series dubbed or subbed. Remember watching it from when I was around 4-5 years old and it always stuck with me. From the looks of it the raw Japanese episodes are on the internet archive I kinda wish someone would fan sub them
I can confirm this cartoon played in 1988 in Nicaragua
My favorite episode was with butterflies. First about princess and her unborn brother and second most favorite where all the bugs came and destroyed house of father and daughter. But each time Hutch, her and her dad rebuild everything again. I drew those butterflies so many times. Liked the animation.

@@regularslick6038 tbh i don't remember much.. just singing the song. He travelled and helped others on his adventures. I remember what may have been a season finale of sorts - when all the friends he'd helped over the series come to his aid at the end. I remember getting up and watching it around 6am-630. This would have been the mid 90s

Full episodes of the English dub? Unfortunately, there aren’t any that are publicly available, and I don’t have any myself or I would have put them on my other channel by now.

I’m not sure if this is supposed to be a serious question or not, but that’s a different show, though some of my other uploads have been from it and I’ve been uploading Japanese episodes of it to my other channel.

the sad thing was that because in Europe series aired many years after Maya, it was regarded as a blatant copy and did not become as popular , even though it is 3 years older.
