- Episode description: “The King commissions a beautiful portrait of the Queen and Jane is entrusted to guard it before the grand unveiling gala. When Jane leaves her post to check in on Dragon, the Queen's portrait is left unattended.”
I noticed there were some Jane and the Dragon episodes missing on TH-cam (at least in good quality). Since I recently got all the episodes, I figured I could upload the ones that weren’t posted here so other people could enjoy them as well.

As a kid I never realize how sarcastic the dragon was and how shady Jane was 😂

I noticed...it was so lonely and dreary and off
believe it or not, there's a reason why the kingdom looks so lonely on purpose. Jane and the Dragon has lore. The actual citizens were driven to spend many years of their lives living in the caves when their kingdom was taken over by enemies. Its not until recently where a neighboring kingdom helped drive those conquerors away. Despite the citizens finally having the castle to themselves again, most people left the kingdom.

You can say what you will about this shows aesthetics but this show was bold for 2005 3D animation
Thank you! I'm so glad someone finally realized this! Everyone always complains about the aesthetic and how they look 'creepy', but this was cutting-edge animation for it's time, that's why it was even nominated for an award for the animation.

The motion capture animation reminds me so much of the barbie films haha. But it's great since things like this paved the way for mo-cap being used for films like Avengers: Infinity War

When i was a kid watching this episode i notice at 10:18 Pepper compliment and taking about making cakes with Jane is her way of hitting on Jane hinting she might be into her well Jane is unaware due to wanting to find the art bandit well pepper might be Bisexual having feelings for both Rake and Jane

I'm 58 years old, and even I like this. The art work alone is worth watching it for. It's absolutely beautiful.
My did is 56 and he likes the art and the story of this too. I use to watch it as a kid all the time and he actually quite enjoyed it 😂

I love the queen being true to her self. She did not see anything perfect at all with herself despite the whole kingdom praising her elegance and grace. It reminds me of myself sometimes when everyone in my life praises for my hard work in school yet I have my self doubts.
legit i was in the middle of killing a dragon in skyrim and i remembered this. I used to watch it when I was like 7-8 and the animation is kinda weird but that rap at the start tho

i wish they made a reboot of the show where Jane finally becomes a knight and everything is more prosperous and there are more neighboring kingdoms. Jane is in a love triangle between Jester and Gunther. The king's son and daughter become Jane and Gunther's apprentices. T_________T
And Jane finds more about dragon's family history as she unlocks all the runes. Maybe leading up to finding more dragons in a far off land hidden from the world, or at least baby dragons so dragon knows he's not alone anymore.

I am watching this as I am older and have much more knowledge of the world. The show was definitely ahead of its time with the "not-so-feminine" protagonist and the objective.
Such a wonderful episode about beauty, humility, honesty, integrity, and honoring one's word even when it's very difficult. Jane didn't have to keep her knowledge of what the Queen did a secret and when her apprenticeship, the thing that was her only way to making her dream come true, was put on the line she STILL didn't rat the queen out. She looked like she would have withheld the information even if the queen had been slower to interrupt and Jane bore her punishment of awful tasks with such a good spirit, what a wonderful role model!

IKR The stories in this carton were very well written and they tried their best to make it historically accurate, but still relatable. The situations that the characters dealt with were like situations that everyone has dealt with at least once in their life. This show was so well written.
A lot of these cartoons that come from Canada, UK, or elsewhere, have really good story lines. Meanwhile, you get the same darn thing on Cartoon Network or Nickelodeon, it's either like "Good guy vs bad guy I'm the good guy so i always win hah" or it's like "There's no real plot to this story but we got group representation" which honestly is too much for kids shows. It's okay in adult shows but kids can't relate to stuff like that. Like, in this episode of Jane and the dragon, we could all relate to the queen because there's something we all feel insecure about. Those of us who relate to Jane don't really care about how we look and care more about being and honest and confident person. *THAT'S THE KIND OF STUFF THAT SHOULD BE IN KIDS SHOWS!* I don't want to see this Steven Universe crud all the time, all they worry about is one character's backstory and getting revenge. What did Jane and the Dragon teach? It never showed any kind of revenge message or anything and always taught to stay quiet and you'll win in the end. And I agree, Jane's an amazing character. I never realized how cool she was. I used to watch this show as a kid but not as much as some kids (I think I preferred the goofier shows like Marvin the tap dancing horse and Gofrette). I liked this show, too, i probably didn't watch it as often though. What really drew me into this show when I was younger was the setting, but as I grew older I began to notice the good things about it, like how good the stories were.
Moral of the story being: there comes good things from not snitching lol

This show has been a shadow of an image in my memory for years. I've searched Google for hours and have consulted Reddit and the closest answer I could get was Sofia the First. Then I realized I thought this was on the same network as Jacob Two Two, so when I searched Qubo this was the first result. I've finally found it after years of searching, and I can't express my satisfaction. I still remember a good amount of the intro music too, I just needed to hear it.
I had also forgotten about the show. Seems like many find the style a little off putting but i still enjoy how it all looks. I can’t believe how i forgot how amazing the intro song is.
I watched this on Qubo in elementary school. I used to pretend I was Jane all the time. I think this is where my love for Medieval history was born.

Had a few struggle years and ended up cutting the cords. No cable or internet at all. My only saving grace was the few free channels available through antenna. I remember watching Cubo a lot. It really made me appreciate Jane and the Dragon.
While Qubo may be gone, shows like this will live on for years to come. Godspeed, Jane and Dragon, Godspeed... *salutes to the show as a lone tear streams down my cheek*

In the US I watched a few episodes of this when I was really sick. I never saw it again and until now I thought I dreamed it. This is an amazing feeling and a great show.

The animation is incredible. The facial expressions and body movements look so natural. You can tell a lot of love and attention to detail was put into this

I remember watching this episode as a kid and when I heard the Queen say how she has a long forehead and smile lines and stuff, I immediately thought "damn, this bitch can't take a compliment" but the whole thing about how everyone expects her to be prim and proper all the time makes more sense to me now lol
