    I don't know how much you guys charge, but I've read one or two comments relating to you being 'expensive'. Have to say though, I love your thoroughness, attention to detail and knowledge. The fact that you even checked the hardware etc on a pretty new car, with a low mileage speaks volumes. Keep up the good work!

      We charge £50 + VAT per hour for labour, which is less than half the cost of the main dealers around here.
      We know we are not the cheapest, and never set out to be a bargain basement company. We wanted to be the best at what we do and we believe we have achieved that. To be able to put money back into R&D, you have to charge correctly for your products and services, otherwise you are just another box moving margin company, not pushing the industry forward.

    I think people are not using the ring after changing the air filter as its really hard to get it back together with the ring :)

    I use MANN filters and that big O ring always comes in the box along with fitting instructions. This isn't an engine anyone should be putting off brand service parts on. False economy and then some.

      Depends on what turbo and who's tuning but probably somewhere from 300-350bhp quite easily

    Hi,
    Love the videos. Have you done upgrades like this series on the BiTdi? Just wondering if there is much advantage to getting the A6 3.0 BiTDi vs the normal TDi on your A5? Cheers

    • @DarksideDevelopments
      @DarksideDevelopments  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      We have a few hardware upgrades for the Bi-TDI models (De-Cat, DPF Delete etc) but we have not tuned these beyond the limits of the stock turbos. These will do around 360bhp on our dyno, not 450bhp+ like some tuning companies are claiming.

    Considering buying a 3.0tdi A5 very soon, really debating which gearbox to go for though. Only intended to be a nice road car with some mild mods, manual or dsg seem most tempting. Auto worries me that it would just be too sluggish in the changes. Can anybody shed any light on what the auto box is like in these and if they can be tweaked?

      I drove both a manual and the Stronic before purchase and the Stronic is just fantastic. It changes gear in 0.01 of a second and anticipates the next gear change for you so it all just works seamlessly. I can't recommend it enough.

    I still have the sealing ring, changing back to stock filter after the K&N. Where exactly does that ring go? I can't seem to fit the "tube" on the stock filter like that. I've put the ring in, where the little plastic bits left an impression on the rubber, but now i cant fit it, not even with force.

    • @DarksideDevelopments
      @DarksideDevelopments  5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I am not sure if I follow, the rubber o-ring is fitted in the airbox side. You can just make it out in this photo - cdn.proxyparts.com/parts/100109/5895514/large/031d7977-9e77-4fd5-85fd-8619300e5d2b.jpg

      @@DarksideDevelopments Yep, that's it! That's how i fitted it too. I've managed to do it in the end, but it was really tough. I had to take the tube off that contains the mass-air sensor, and push it into the air-filter box, and then put it back in. Thank you for the reply!

    Any reason after I had a GT2267/71 Hybrid turbo, Toyosports FMI fitted to my car it sounds like a hoover in the engine bay? Don't know if it's due to the turbo or I've got an issue somewhere 🤔
