I wish I progressed as fast as you did... It took me 2 years to learn how to kickflip. After breaking my board and my leg at the same time, I stopped skating. I am thinking about trying it again but shit it's like $160 for a nice board now. But I guess I can try it out again, it's been 6 years since I last skated
That's a wild way of progressing! He got all those tricks down but really got comfortable riding his board after 9 months or so. Crazy to see but it works for him, he killed it 🔥
Its basically me, rn i am only riding my friends board and try to speedrun as many techniques as i can when "its my turn" haha, im buying my own board soon though
thanks for posting this, it was wild! actually kinda inspiring because you can see that you NEVER KNOW how fast you'll progress and you don't have to go down one very specific path. if you wanna go flippy spinny before a drop in or an ollie, go for it lol. :D also i love how he utilized the garage. that'll be me as well. finally cleared out this weekend!! :D
I'm guessing that was at least 2 hours a day of focused practice. Many people who say they have been trying to get kickflips for months are only doing sloppy 10 minute sessions every 4 or so days.
@@omgvaguenot really a bad thing since you had got really comfortable riding your board you just didn’t seriously try to learn the tricks if you did you could have easily done it as well
@@Just_SK8 Not to start with, I hurt myself a lot trying them until I had a bit more board control. Once I had heelflips I made myself attempt at least one every day for months (even on carpet because of the lovely UK weather 🙄) and I got them eventually. @@michaelfurlong4384same man i know some people are gonna hate but i wish i was from LA but im not even from the USA lol. The USA has alot of great parks and spots
I think loosening your trucks a little every month will also help beginners a lot. At first you have to start super tight cause you don't have the balance but it holds you back after awhile. Looser trucks will make landing tricks much easier just have to get used to it.
It’s such a difficult thing to learn, regardless of the way people progress around you do not get discouraged, skateboarding is for you only, no one else, when you get your kick flips good it will feel so good, stay in it
Yeah I started skating a month ago. I go maybe twice a week to my local park. Theres a vert pool there and thats my goal. Im so scared of dropping in and Ive already busted my ass and hands trying to go up and down (back and fourth) in the bowl. Haha.
Only recently started skating again after 4 years. But when I started out I learned how to drop in on ramps in the first two weeks. But it took me 4 months to land my ollies.
This kid is almost literally the level I was after 6 years haha. I'd like to think I had a little more steeze, but probably not Edit: get him to play a young Ricky in a video haha. He almost reminds me of the old clips of you
Thank you so much I appreciate you reacting to this!
Keep killing it homie! 🔥🔥🔥
dude you deserved that , ur progression was sick .
Amazing progression! Very inspiring.

Yeah for real
Took me a month to get ollies and 3 months to get kickflips when I began and you're right, most of that time was just riding around and goofing off.
@@omgvaguenot really a bad thing since you had got really comfortable riding your board you just didn’t seriously try to learn the tricks if you did you could have easily done it as well

That was incredible. Surprised there was no switch in there.
I wanna learn how to skate so badly, but there’s no skate shops or skate parks where I live :(
