TO EVERYONE ASKING ABOUT THE BARBARIAN ARMOR. It’s not as powerful as the Ancient armor. The Ancient armor can be stacked with buffs which makes it the best armor in the game. Apologize for the 🐁
But Barbarian accounts for every weapon in the game while Ancient armor only accounts for ancient weapons which you don't always have.

Easily fixed with a food buff. While you can’t get the stack from the attack up buff at all on the Barbarian armor.
@@RMFHGaming No I love both and have full inventory I use half for guardian and Ancient weapons than the other half for generally lynel weapons. I like to save my food attack buffs for stacking with ancient weapons and just wear the barbarian armor for the others

The climbing set is what I wear for about 90% of the game, so freaking good. I think the desert voe armor should have gotten an honorable mention simply for how cool it looks.
Its extremely worthless, unlike swimming speed up, you still use the same amount of stamina in the same distance making it just faster.

There is one other armor set that allows for buff stacking. The bone set give you proficiency with bone weapons. Still not as good though because bone weapons are never as strong as ancient weapons.

@@RMFHGaming yep, it's just like the bonus for ancient armor, but with bone weapons instead of ancient. It still doesn't make my top 5 list though. It disguises you from stal enemies, but I'd rather get the speed up from the stealth set at night, and ancient weapons are better than bone weapons.

Rubber armour is useless because the Thunder Helm does the same thing for 2 fewer slots and is, I think easier to get. Thunderblight can be easily defeated with a Sheikah tech or wooden shield.
It’s only 360p because youtube is being funky. (FALSE):The thunder helm doesn’t do the same thing.... it can only protect you from lighting in a storm. It doesn’t make you unshockable like the rubber armor. (This is false later tested to make sure. Why must we have 5 different effect names for the same thing smh)
Nah it’s a lot harder to obtain. You have to do all the Gerudo side quest, then beat thunderblight and then finish the rest of the Gerudo side quest. The Rubber armor is just split up across Hyrule.
@@RMFHGaming I was sure that it made the trip up to Zora's Domain with Sexy Shark Prince much easier as shock arrows didn't shock me. Rubber armour might be easier with a guide It took me ages to find all the shrines with the different pieces.

Then again I was up for the 24 hour live stream when responding to your comment xD Sorry about that. So, you could swap out for just the helm instead of the complete rubber set. Either way both are pretty handy :)

My favorite armor set is the amber earings, champions tunic, and the hylian trousers. I really love the look link has in this game and being able to see how much damage you do is a really nice bonus. I put on the amber earings on because they aren't that noticeable and provide really high defense.

dude i have the same exact thought process, tho some times i swap the amber earrings with the other jewlery and the pant with the snowquill/voe pants
Same here. The amber earrings offer really good defence and allows Link to look just like himself with the Champion's Tunic.
I mostly use this Combination as well because it makes Link look like on the cover.

Reasoning (WARNING! EXTREMELY LONG!):
~Sheikah is insanely great for sneaking around and getting the drop on enemies as well as avoiding detection. The best way to not get hit by an enemy? Don't get seen by said enemy (and make them dead).
~Flamebreaker is the only set to allow you to travel through Death Mountain without an elixir or an entire buffet of food. On top of that, it also boasts an insane armor rating well above 60 AND has a hidden bonus: When Guardians hit you with their laser, it does 2 types of damage. 1) You take impact, and 2) You take fire. Flamebreaker will nullify ALL the fire damage dealt and does so better than even Ancient. The fire damage you take from it is actually pretty insane, believe it or not.
~Ancient is rated #3 because while the damage output is good, you need to stay stocked up on guardian/ancient weapons to make use of it's ability. These weapons don't have the best durability (Guardian) or cost an arm and a leg (Ancient, and also literally as you take guardian parts). With the right combo and setup, yes, you can deal insane damage, but it's very situational (Need to use guard/ancient weapon, also including additional damage against guardian/ancient class enemies that the weapon innately gives).
~Fierce Deity/Barbarian is easily top tier, but hard to place at #1. It boasts the Attack Up buff PER PIECE, instead of as a set bonus. While Ancient does give a massive situational damage output that beats FD/Barb out of the park, it's situational and heavily relies on using specific weapons. The buff FD/Barb gives out applies to all weapons, and honestly, at what point in the overworld are you going to find a slew of ancient/guardian weapons laying around? You're more likely to have a whole bunch of OTHER weapons in a rate of maybe 8:1. Not only that, all stamina attacks use reduced stamina, allowing you to spin that Savage Crusher around for twice as long.
~Royal Guard is one of the best pieces of armor in the game just for it's utility alone. If Climber's gets on the list because climbing, and Zora gets a nod for swim stamina, this does both and thensome. It combines the abilities of the Zora, Climbing AND FD/Barb all into one. Granted, you will suffer from not being able to upgrade it's armor value, but it's not a fighting armor; it's an exploration armor. You're able to climb faster, swim faster, and overall make your stamina gauge so much happier. Sadly this does not improve sprinting or paragliding stamina, but it is a very, VERY useful utility armor. Note: If you are unable to utilize good dodging or are unable to avoid fights and take lots of hits while wearing this armor, then remove this from the list. Move all other armors up one position and fill in #5 with Zora.
Honorable Mentions:
1) Korok Mask, Snowquill armor, and Snow boots. Equip a flame weapon. Grants 100% cold protection while allowing for searching for Koroks and unimpeded movement everywhere except Death Mountain. Set as a HM because it requires a flame weapon to work.
2) Zora set. Mentioned in the video, the only real usefulness is swimming up waterfalls and fish waifu.
3) Phantom. Damage up similar to FD/Barb that's DLC, but very early game if you have it. Does not give Attack Stamina up though.

Phantom ganon set is extremely slept on.
Stealth buff, stal disguise, AND bone attack up
The Sheikah set is extremely underrated to the point where I never take it off unless I need to fight/the climate doesn't permit it.
It's speed increase at night, and the ability to sneak up on animals is invaluable in collecting ingredients for recipies/elixirs. Bugs/Lizards/Fish especially become easy pickings.
Not to mention the speed boost at night effects swim speed AND climbing speed, allowing easier exploration.
Sure you're losing out on potential defense/offense abilities in combat, but the added stealth let's you avoid it entirely.

Love all these sets. I found the Ancient Armor looks even cooler if you wear the breastplate and greaves with a traditional Link hat. I just wish the snow boots would work with the set bonus for the snowquill set. It sucks having to choose between moving fast through snow or not being frozen solid.
thats why you equip a flame weapon in snowy areas which gives you +1 coldresistance and you a back to +3 cold resistance and fast moving ;)

I’m sorry, but the Barbarian set is the best by far. The fact that you get an attack buff with ANY weapon, not just brittle, ancient ones, is soooo useful. Plus, it frees up a space for a potion or food effect, where the ancient armour doesn’t.
Triaki’s armor set and other gear list based on stats and abilities
1. Ancient armor, best stats, makes the already op ancient weapons even better, and guardian res
2. Stealth set, allows you to inflict sneak attacks easier, wich do 8x damage.
3. Majora’s mask, may be dlc, but is incredibly useful for doing anything.
4. Thunder helm, hard to obtain but worth it.
5. Barbarian armor, strong and allows you to spin with heavy weapons even more
Moral of the story: you don't need maxed out defence to look cool. ;)

I'm a little surprised to not have seen the Stealth and Barbarian armor on here tbh. Not only does the former give you huge stealth boost, it can increase your night running speed when upgraded. The latter ups your attack power, and when upgraded, lowers stamina consumption for spin attacks.
Either one should have replaced the rubber armor imo. That one's a _bit_ circumstantial, especially once you have access to the Thunder Helm.
Barbarian armor is the best. Better than stealth sets.

I use the Max Defense rating with Triple Attack food buff; Trousers of the Wild, Champion’s Tunic, and any of the Divine Beast Helms.
Although, if I had to pick a set, I always use the Fierce Deity set when I am too lazy to eat a Triple Attack food, which is ALMOST always.
He’s my favourite Zelda character, loved him since I first played Majora’s Mask back in 2005. I once even went as Fierce Deity for Halloween, my dad’s friend carved out a wooden Fierce Deity Sword and I painted it.
Rubber armour can be completely replaced by the Thunder helm from Goron City 🤷♂️

It's on my bucket list to get all 4 of the Divine Beast helmets. I'd love to have the amiibos of the Champions sitting on my desk! Favorite set has gotta be the Zora armor, nothing can replace the backstory built into the set for me, and I swim way too often in this game lol
Here is my top 6 armors in botw.
6.Rubber armor,it's good and untill you get the thunder helm it's very helpful with thunder bright but out of the three lighting is less common.
5.Snowquill armor,it makes you immune to ice attacks and you explore snowy regions easier.
4.Flamebreaker armor,fire attack are way more common than ice or lighting ones making it very useful and let's you explore death mountain easier.
3.Guardian armor, increases guardian weapons by 80%, resistant to guardian weapons and lasers and makes 3 of the four main bosses easier.
2.Zora armor because you do a lot of swimming,offers decent defense and is able to let you move and swim way easier.
1.Climbing gear,you Do a lot of exploring and it makes climbing easier and has a defense of 60.Wanna climb a very hight mountain, need to get out of a mountain region quick as possible or wanna make finding and getting to things easier,use this armor!
stealth armor unmatched. i can sneak around enemies and do plenty of material grinding and hunting and fishing etc uninterrupted, plus night time speed up is great.
i also really like the climber set because climbing/paragliding is my main mode of transportation

I also use a combination of Amber Earrings, Champions Tunic, and Soldiers Greaves because this armor combination has the highest possible defensive stat build.

My top five Armor Sets are 5) Snowquill Set, 4) Zora Set 3) Soldier Set, 2) Stealth Set and 1) Hylian Set.
My top "sets" based on use in the late game are 5) snowquill 4) climbing 3) barbarian 2) stealth 1) non-set such as korok mask + champion tunic + whatever boots give me an ability I want. Tbh I usually don't wear a whole set.
I think the stealth armor set is more useful than the Zora armor set. The speed up bonus at night that the stealth set offers is nice. The stealth armor is most useful when collecting things for armor upgrades, side quests, meals, or just to make money in the game. Need to collect sunset fireflies for a side quest. The stealth armor will make that easier. Need to collect butterflies for armor upgrades. The stealth armor will make that easier. Need to collect lizalfos tails for armor upgrades. The stealth armor will make that easier. Need to collect some raw gourmet meat in the Hebra mountains to cook and sell for money. The stealth armor will make that easier. Need to collect lizards or crabs. The stealth armor will make that easier. Trying to sneak strike enemies. The stealth armor will make that easier. The stealth armor just has so many uses in this game I honestly think it is one of the best sets of armor in the game. The one big drawback to the stealth armor set though is it's defense rating fully upgraded the the stealth armor only boast a defense of 48 which is really low compared to some other sets so the stealth armor set is not ideal for a lynel or guardian hunting session. For lynel or guardian hunting I would just use the ancient armor set. Note: when in extreme environments like Death Mountain or the Hebra Mountain Range you will need to cook up elixirs or meals that offer environmental protection so that you do not take environmental damage when in those areas but if used properly the stealth armor set can help you out a lot in this game.
I think my favorite is the stealth and guardian outfits:3 I died my stealth shut and it looks really nice
The Hylian, Soilder, Stealth, Desert Voe, and Snowquill sets are my favorites. Plus the Champions Tunic of course.
As a matter of fact, the Climbing Set doesn't actually use less stamina as you climb. It only allows you to climb faster. The Zora Armour, by contrast, uses less stamina when swimming AND lets you swim faster. Not sure why that wasn't carried over to the Climbing Set.
Whats funny is that at max level for both, the flame breaker armor actually protects more from guardians than the full ancient armor, because some of the laser beam damage is counted as fire. Plus, the fully upgraded ancient armor actually negates the guardian resist buff because guardians will always do a certain amount of damage with their base laser, and you will block the same with 84 defense, guardian resist or not. Try it out.
My favorite armor set is the twilight Princess set since tp is my favorite game ever and I think the armor looks cool even though it doesn’t have much defense.
My fave root armor is barbarian and the ancient and raydin

Actually a tier 4 Ancient set offer no more resistance to guardians than a tier 4 Soldier set. They both bring down guardian lasers to their minimum 3 heart damage.
Did not test that in while but doesn't ancient set bring it down to like 3/4th of a heart?
@@-siranzalot- Guardians have a minimum damage of 14 (3.5 Hearts). Both sets get Link to that level, and the Soldier set is far far cheaper and easier to upgrade. Sorry for the earlier incorrect value. I just tested with lvl 4 Soldier and ancient set.

I think the Royal Guards armor should have been atleast at 3, it’s good for everything, reduces climbing jump stamina, reduces swim dash stamina, and help out when using charge attacks, (OP af with claymores) it’s an All-Round good armor.
my recommendation:
1 - majora's mask/barbarian's helm/thunder helm
2 - barbarian's armor
3 - snowquill leggings
boasts quite high defense, 1 cold resistence, 1 attack up, enemies can't spot you, and if they do you can just swap out the barbarian's helm if needed, and thunder helm too for certain situations.
meaning, you're able to pretty much go anywhere (since there's a lot of cold areas in the game), and have a permanent damage boost just in case (1 to 2)
on top of that, there's areas like the gerudo desert and goron city which require other elemental resistances to travel.
i recommend:
flamebreaker helmet/leggings
male gerudo leggings
having 1 page of armor instead of 4 removes a lot of clutter and makes swapping really easy, to adjust quickly to new situations.
while goofing off in botw i'd usually take a speed elixer 3, or steal 3 + majora's mask, barbarians armor and snowquill leggings

The Stealth Set is one of my favourite sets as it's just really useful in almost all areas in the game (especially the Yiga Clan Hideout)

5.phantom Gannon, while not the best set out there, I fricken love the chest piece, that cape is so cool and works with so many other pieces.
4. Desert voe or tunic of the winds, both have great benefits and look kinda cool, especially the tunic of the winds. And windwaker is one of my fav games of the series so…
3. Phantom (or barb if no dlc) set, I just love the looks of both sets, even if ancient armor is better. And it has amazing atk up bonuses and stats, especially for the early game
2. Snow boots (or snow boots+snowquill), like 1/3 of the map is covered in snow, and it is soooo nice to be able to walk on it at a faster speed. And with Zant’s helm, you can become the most dangerous thing out there on the mountain.
1. Climbers set, It is really practical, especially in the early game when you have to climb most places. And it looks dope.
I prefer the stealth set as my go to armor because it gives 2 bonuses when you wear it at night. I also very much enjoy stacking the speed bonus with haste elixirs. A lot of the game is about wandering and discovering, so the stealth set is key. I also find it's easier to catch ingredients, horses, and sand seals. Also, there are numerous parts of the game where you have to sneak to progress the plot, whereas the Zora armor and the rubber armor are only necessary once.

The knight's chestplate and leggings with the combination of the the hylian hood looks cool aswell and have good defense stat overall

Barbarian armor not only looks cool, but good for inflicting damage (with triple attack food boost for even more). Lynels fear me.
120 shrines for The Wild set? You betcha. When I started, I told myself, "You will never get all 120." I lied. Nice looking set and better stats than most other when upgraded.
To be honest I don't care about the stealth abilities of the Sheika armor , but I do like how it looks. I sneaked around the Yiga fortress without it (and killing everyone in there).
Phantom Armor is both cool and silly at the same time. Dark Armor is the pretty slick with no other benefits... and causes superficial glitch with some shields.
Some NPC's will react diffrently with some armors (although doesn't always affect dialogue). Or with no clothes at all.

Ancient armor is king since all the upgrade parts are found on the enemies the set is the best at dealing with, the better the set becomes the faster you become at getting the parts to upgrade it.
Barbarian set is great for non-guardian/ancient weapons but farming Lynels is much harder to upgrade since they are far more spread out in the game world than guardians which are grouped up in a few areas or are in combat shrines you can fast travel to.
Imagine using rubber armour instead of the gerudo helmet or desert voe set bonus.... disgraceful.
Yeah idk how it made the top 5, the thunder helm alone does the exact same job as all 3 pieces of the rubber armour and then you can wear other armour with the thunder helm to get their stats/effects too like barbarian armour/greaves for extra damage or Zora armour/greaves to climb waterfalls and swim faster

I just wear my 4-star championship tunic and 4-star hylian trousers at all times. It just feels right. Occasionally I wear the diamond circlet for a little more defence without changing the look much, but I mostly leave the helmet slot empty.

I would like to make a few amendments to it based on my personal preference (your list is great, this is just my personal opinion)
5: I would group all of the main story required/strongly encouraged armors together. (Gerudo Vai, Zora, Flamebreaker, and Snowquill)
4: This is another group, which I know is kind of cheating, but I would instead of Rubber Armor, put the Lightning Helm and Majoras Mask. They are all individual with really good bonuses that can be an better alternative to an other armor piece/set
3: For this one, since I put Snowquill in the group in 5, I am putting the Champions Tunic here. This is the highest defense chest piece in the game, and the ability to see exact HP is incredible. It goes well with the Wild set, Ancient armor, and Knight armor, any combination of them (that includes the Champions Tunic) is the highest raw defense possible (excluding buffs and situational attacks)
2: Because I am trying to pull parallels*, I would replace the climbing gear with the Royal Guards armor because it has a more hidden ability that strongly reduces stamina, and doesn't require upgrading to use. It is about as efficient as the climbing gear, and lets you jump up most surfaces, which is far faster than the normal climbing buff, and it does this for EVERY stamina draining task, not just climbing.
1:I think the Ancient armor is still an incredible pick, though I would also throw in the Barbarian/phantasm armor, because they work much better for bows and, if you aren't using foods, non-guardian enemies.

My favorite armour set is 5. the default 4. Zora armour because i love mipha 3. The gorudo outfit dont judge its 2019 2. the normal set link normally wears champion tunic hylian trousers it's confirmed in smash ultimate 1 Dark Link Set and my Bonus set guardian set I love BOTW

instead of the shock armor, use Urbosa's helmet, it makes you lightning proof and you can wear other armor with it.

What I usually wear is the champion tunic, hylian trousers, and anything from the gerudo jewelry shop (usually amber earrings) because I like the look link has in cutscenes and this emulates that look And when it’s all upgraded it gives around 75-80 defense
My top 4 (with set bonus)
1) Ancient armor
The game becomes trivial when you have this and guardian++ weapons
2) Climber gear
You spend so much of this game climbing it's a no brainer
3) Sheikah set
Essential for picking off large groups of enemies or enemies too powerful to take head on
4) Barbarian armor
Gets you through combat until you get lv 2 ancient armor
Honorable mentions:
Snow boots, thunder helm, radiant set
Zora armor is only good for climbing waterfalls. Besides that it's much more efficient to cross water using cryonis. Elemental gear is easily replaced with food/elixirs and is much less versatile than the ones listed above
I would've put the royal guard armour on the list since it has all 3 of the stamina things. (Decreases stamina for swimming and climbing and I think (maybe not but) gliding)

"For the low, low cost of your soul." That's what it feels like obtaining and upgrading it. And he ignored the STEALTH SET!!! The rubber set is completely useless once you get the thunder helm, but the stealth set makes you basically invisible.
Ok so I gotta say something, the climbing set lies to you, it in fact does not increase the distance you can go while climbing, as it uses stamina at the rate with you just moving faster. It only speed up the amount of time climbing takes, the only reason it still is good is because the set bonus does actually make you able to go farther, but not as much as you would hope.
Edit v2: I just tested it, this is true, kinda stupid it lies about its ability
