Because thats what Bakugo considers a True Victory if you beat an opponent who gave it their all.
Think about it, Bakugo beat Todoroki but Todoroki didnt put up his full power
That can give thoughts like "what if he did give his all?" "What if he didnt hesitate" "would i have lost if he chose to put up 100%?"
People like Bakugo cant handle thoughts like that and especially if those thoughts are a reality
So it was only natural for Bakugo to rage and rant at him
Plus Bakugo is always mad and yeah spoiled with his power
But people love him because he strives to be the best and strongest out of all his peers
The determination and drive Bakugo has with trying to accomplish his goal is something Many people want with their lives and dreams
Anwyays, Bakugo is changing and getting amazing character developement
The Bakugo you see here in S2 is different from the Bakugo in S4 and if you read the manga
Bakugo has already accepted the perspectives and Values of other people like Midoriya
He even accepts the fact in that time period that Heroes also protect, not just win
All im trying to say is that try to see it from his eyes
Examine his personality and get an image in your head of what would it

True, but the end result didn’t come out the way he wanted it to be. Offhandedly Todoroki WOULD be considered the real winner, since it was a disappointing match for Bakugo, and because Todoroki IS technically more powerful and skilled than Bakugo.

I like how Bakugo encourages Todoroki to give everything he's got in the most Bakugo-est fashion. The man doesn't want to win against someone how isn't giving 100%, so he encourages Todoroki to go all out.
Like he says himself he wants an “indisputable victory” he needs to know that he can win no matter what. So there’s no doubt in his mind. The guy treats everyone like shit, doesn’t matter who they are. From the smallest most insignificant thing to a literal god, bakugo would treat them as if they were equal (he will treat them both equally as bad), not in spite, but to convince himself that he is the best.
He doesn’t really underestimate anyone in fact he probably “overestimates” a lot of people. I mean he calls himself the best not to shit on others but to satisfy his own insecurities. He needs to remind himself that he isn’t trash and well is the “best”.

I wouldn't say he is the best. Being best means either being perfect or rather being the strongest. And he is neither.
He always assumes the best of his opponents. So he's very alert when midoriya is catching up to him coz he's not arrogant as in he's oblivious. He's arrogant as in he thinks he NEEDS to be the best and can't live otherwise.

@OP_BLACKOUT Right? Whenever there's a Bakugou vs Todoroki comparison, everyone uses the same old "And Todoroki's fire will make Bakugou sweat even more" statement. If Todoroki intensifies his heat to a higher degree it will just burn Bakugou very badly. Add to the fact that if he uses the move he did on Deku, it would have just blown Bakugou away more than the Howitzer Impact would have blown Todoroki away. Even in terms of explosions, Shoto doesn't need to put out a lot of ice or fire to do one big explosion. He can do that from the start depending on what level of fire he puts out to clash with his ice.

TBH even if todoroki uses fire bakugou can win... The author has mentioned more than one time that bakugou is a genius fighter (not saying todoroki is not talented, he obviously is)... If he uses fire Im sure bakugou would sweat more and using the hot air to make bigger explosions. Bakugou and Todoroki are actually a good match, their quirks fit really well with each other..
Honestly this scene is really important. It shows that even if Bakugou only focuses to win, he wants to win in the hardest way possible. Probably would blindly run through a ton of villains without giving up.
No... The point of it was that Bakugo wants to be the best, and he can't claim that he's the best or the strongest if he only won due to a technicality like "his opponent wasn't trying" or something. That's why he keeps saying that he wants an INDISPUTABLE first place. He wants it to be so nobody could even try to say that he isn't the best, even if they wanted to. It's not about him wanting a challenge or anything like that.
Chris coulnt have said it better. He just wants people to know that he is, no doubt, the best.

I completely understand Bakugo’s rage in this fight and how he wants an equal fight and ends up not having it, but if you see Todoroki’s side that poor kid has a trauma with his fire quirk. Just because he used it once doesn’t mean it’s going to be easy to use it a second time. When Todoroki was fighting against Deku he completely lost it and wasn’t thinking straight, but when he was fighting against Bakugo he was more conscious. I completely understand both of them. They are both such amazing characters.

i love bakugou's concept and his smart fighting style.
he can litterally brute force his way through almost any fight and if that doesn't work he can fly around everywhere and is unrelentless.
he also knows that his personality is not actually that good in a fight. (WOW WHO WOULD HAVE GUESSED BAKUGOU BEING SELFAWARE OF HIS PERSONALITY!) and he litterally uses it as a weapon
he is intimidating opponents with his sheer raw strengh and his signiture SHINEE but he actually knows people try to take advantage of his temper and uses that against them.
