Appreciate you taking the time to do this! I replaced the 498T in my LPC with the Aldrich and couldn't be happier. Actually, first I replace both the 498T and the 490R with 57+ and 57 Classic. Bridge wasn't where I wanted it to be and replaced just the bridge with the Aldrich. The 57 Classic in the neck is great as well.
The Aldrich bridge didn't sound as I expected in your comparison, not sure why. Great comparison with other pickups I was/am curious about too (500T/496R and the Aldrich neck).

Perhaps the Aldrich bridge didn't sound as expected due to the modeler and the hi and low cut filters of the IR. It is a great rock pickup and due to it's excellent split ability can play anything well! I really enjoy this set on my firebird and it sounds way more powerful than in the les paul! The Aldrich neck splits perfectly but is too "creamy" for my taste. I love the 496R or the Paf pro for the punchy neck attack. Haven't got any experience with the 57+ and 57 Classic set. Thanks for your kind words. Greetings from Greece!

It's an absolute crime for anyone who would remove the original 498T/490R from their Les Paul. I strongly believe they should spend at least one year in prison. Great demo well demonstrated, thanks

      How do you guys think , a set of 490R / 498 T would sound on a Gibson 339?

@@Melo_cl that's a tough one... I've had it on a 1997 Gibson Les Paul standard which I thought sounded great but then I realized it sounded even better on my Gibson Les Paul custom. So you're right it may sound a bit different depending on the type of guitar you are using due to factors like wood treatment/type/quality/ density or fretboard material, neck thickness etc.
