I've only started using print by object about a month ago and it's awesome. I've the A1 series bed slinger and didn't have to worry about the lid, fortunately. But on my a1 mini, because it's so small plate area, i can only print by object for small items and usually only 4 at most. But this feature is so awesome when printing different colored objects. I use it all the time now. And the arrange button means i didn't have to think how to place them. This video was a great overview. Thank you
Thanks. No unfortunately removing the lid won't help you. It's limited by the height of the Z axis rails, so short of doing a complete custom rebuild on the printer, there's not really a way to increase that height limit. However, the positioning of the items on the build plate (and the order they are printed in) will affect if clipping may occur and could in theory affect how high an object you could print in certain positions so it's worth having a play around.
@ Oké! By the height of the Z axis rail height you mean? Going higher then the max. Build height Is not possible.. But if you have printed an object on the front portion of the build plate that could theoretically stick out above the lid if you remove it..
Ive tried printing by object and I got a p1s combo but when moving from the first object to the second it prints the first layer in the previous first object color, any fix to this? Thank you
Hello, What if i have 4 groups of puppets with each 4 puppets in with 2 different heights, with each group needed another color, the max height of the biggest puppet is 45mm. The lowest height is 30mm. I want to print each group separatly, but because of the difference in height i cant get it to work.
Go to where all the objects are listed and drag up or down according on which order you want. Objects on top are printed first, objects on bottom are printed last. Hope it helps!
A great explanation of this wonderful feature. Thank you. It’s not often I click Like, subscribe and make a comment. Well deserved in this case. (No I don’t do the bell icon 😂)

Really glad you found it useful. It can absolutely be a useful feature too, happy printing!
I'm doing great things because of you. Thank you
Great job, so glad I could help! Thanks for commenting!
awesome video! one more thing left to mention is that one can also change the print object sequence. For example printing tall objects last :)
Finally, I needed this video thank u
Amazing video. I hope it gets more views and shares !!
Thanks very much! Glad you liked it!
Good explanation! Can you increase the lid height by removing the lid? And what height should you set it to if it is removed?

If I have 10 items, how do I tell the printer which ones I want printed in a specific order?
