Transcription starting at 2:12 Bill Johnson: "Whenever we come together, I just don't ever again not want to give occasion for people to know what it is to be born again. I was thinking earlier today some statements that Jesus made that just are so sobering. I don't like to lose awareness of these statements because this is where I started in Christ and I love the opportunity to hear the pure gospel just preached together. I love that, and these statements that he made, here's one, He said: What does it profit a man/a woman if they gain the whole world but they lose their own soul? What does it profit a person if every ambition, every dream is fulfilled, every wish and want is covered, every possible appetite is fulfilled in life and you come to the end of it all and you lost your own soul? It's a good question because there is a day coming when it is the only question that will matter. What does it profit a person to get it all and to lose it all? And then He made this other comment. He said you must be born again, there's not multiple options. You must be born again. I want to introduce you to the Father but your conversion is what qualifies you. And I know every time we come together, I just, I want to give opportunity for people to know what it is to love God, to have a relationship with God, to be forgiven, to be what the Bible says, born again, that's changed from the inside. It's not an external discipline that changes us. We can't change that stuff. It's He who changed me. And so, what I want to do is give a very simple opportunity for anyone in this room to just say, Bill I don't want to leave the building, I don't want to leave the property until I know I'm at peace with God, until I know I've been forgiven, until I know that I've been brought into his family. By doing this, you're saying I want to be a disciple of Jesus, I want to follow Him and Him alone. If that's anybody in the room, I just want you to put a hand up. Just by putting your hand up you're saying Bill that's me. I don't want to leave the building until I know I'm at peace with God. Anybody at all... yep...wonderful. [clapping] Anyone else? Thank you, I see it.. Anyone else? I don't want to leave until I know I have found peace with God and am forgiven of sin. Right here, wonderful, beautiful...."
Lindsey Davis, an outspoken ex Bethelite who now believes the truth, has said that she was kicked out of their school for preaching the Gospel and repentance. That speaks volumes to me.
You know it’s even more tragic because bill knows consequences of not being born again and STILL he preaches a different Gospel and does not mention sin and true reason we NEED to be born again as in we are all born sinners
It must be impossible for anybody to preach the power of the Gospel unto salvation if they themselves have never experienced the assurance of salvation apart from works. We are saved ONCE. We are born again ONCE. Johnson's disciples must continually receive 'power' in order to validate what they erroneously believe is God's love for them. They have to keep going back to him and his kind like a drug addict to their dealer. These NAR types are modern day Simon the Sorcerers - and they charge a hefty fee if ever you want to join their school of sorcery.
These false teachers never speak of sin or repentance because it's "offensive" to the unbeliever, and all they care about is filling the seats and making money.
Some actually do , I know a church that do preach sin and repentance and the need for baptism in the Holy Spirit However the financial part of preaching is so wrong , I’m talking prosperity gospel wrong Have a look at the church in revelations 2:18-29 This is a church being described as good but he also writes he has a few things against the church, that the churches let Jezebel to speak her lies , Which is many churches today
If you don't preach sin and repentance in the sermon you aren't preaching sin and repentance in the alter call. Prosperity gospel purposely doesn't speak on sin and repentance.. there is no baptism of the Holy Spirit. You receive the holy spirit when you're saved.
OK, the very first words out of Bill Johnson’s mouth speak volumes - he welcomes members of the “Bethel Family” watching online. A family is a hierarchical structure, with a “father” at the top and the “children” below. It clearly suits Johnson’s purposes to define his relationship to Bethel in this way. He could have welcomed those watching as his “brothers and sisters in Christ”, but that would put him at the same level. He also has to build up the “Bethel” brand name, so it’s not “Church family”, but, “Bethel family” (insert registered trademark symbol here).
You gotta know this.... That I'd like you to know... This amazing thing's gonna happen... That about two weeks from now... This moment... Two weeks from this very day... The time we're living in right now... About two weeks... It's gonna be 14 days later Amen?!
That's exactly why he's so popular. He literally offers them the whole world, and never tells them their eternal soul is the cost. And then he calls that being born again.. 😔
The lack of knowledge of God's Word will ultimately be his congregations undoing before God. I was always baffled at how Matthew 7 described people who truly believed they were saved to whom Christ would say, "depart from me for I never knew you." Now I understand.
So what is it about these preachers that they never use the word repent. It’s like making an apple pie and leaving out the apple. 1 Cor.15 vv 1-3 is the Gospel in a nutshell. Maybe it is a word that they do not like, bit like the word ‘sin’ that is rarely used. The word ‘mistakes’ has taken the place of the word sin. There is a world of difference between these two words.
Repent was the message of John the baptist and was the the very first words of Yeshua Messiah so l think it's a very important part of conversion and understanding our fallen nature and our need of a Savior and more importantly a Lord to guide us through.
Repent does not automatically mean repent of your sin. We must study the word repent and repentance in the Bible to understand the word. God repents within the Bible many times so obviously it doesn't always mean to repent of your sin. The phrase "repent of your sin" is not in the Bible. The only requirement to be saved is to believe on the Lord Jesus Christ. You must put all your trust on Jesus to save you. When you do, that's called faith. Faith alone saves you. Believing on the Lord Jesus Christ as your SAVIOR, is what saves you. The entire Bible teaches this. Every word in the Bible is true. For example, when Jesus says this: "John 6:47 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me hath everlasting life." That's exactly what he means. Repent, when it comes to being saved, means to change your mind and believe on Jesus to save you. If you say that you must repent of your sins and be baptized to be saved, then you're calling Jesus Christ a liar in John 6:47. And look, that's not the only Scripture. There are hundreds upon hundreds that tell you believing on Jesus is the only requirement to be saved and NOTHING contradicts that within the Bible. Acts 2:38 you might say. Yes, repent and be baptized for the remission of sins. Repent means change your mind and believe on Jesus. Yes, you should be baptized because you're received the remission of sins when you believed on Jesus. A definition of "FOR" is "BECAUSE OF." Be baptized because you've received remission of sins. Take an aspirin "FOR" your headache. Take an aspirin "BECAUSE OF" the headache NOT to give you a headache. Baptism is a work and the Bible clearly says we are not saved by works (Ephesians 2:8-9). If you don't believe that repent is change your mind and believe, maybe the Scripture itself will change your mind. I'll leave you with this Scripture right here: "Acts 19:4 Then said Paul, John verily baptized with the baptism of repentance, saying unto the people, that they should believe on him which should come after him, that is, on Christ Jesus." The baptism of repentance is believing on the Lord Jesus Christ. He is "THE" Savior. It MUST be 100% trust on Jesus Christ alone to be saved. If you want to add repent of your sin or being baptized, then you're adding your own works to salvation.
The garbage church I left, the pastor actually said, "The blood of Jesus is not for you." Family Harvest Church in Tinley Park Illinois. Robb Thompson, one of Mike Murdock's buddies is the "pastor". And I use that term as loosely as humanly possible. Nothing else needs to be said.
One thing I noticed is there wasn't much discussion of sin and repentance. Yes, God forgives us but what are our sins? Sometimes we place so much emphasis of explaining all of the details that we forget that salvation is a miraculous event. We don't know how God is working on hearts in these moments. My pastor has done a similar message of salvation and then sometimes inviting them to come forward to pray with the intercessors.
Matthew 7:21-23 nkjv “Not everyone who says to Me, Lord, Lord,’ shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven. Many will say to Me in that day, ‘Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?’ And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!’" God bless this man.
Almost but not quite, no mention of cavalarys cost, no mention of Jesus as the sacrifice for our sin, "He became sin" born again he mentions but no reference to the sin that has to be repented of if you want real lasting peace with the Father. And yet people flock there to here 'another gospel' Oh how the Gospel needs to be preached.
True repentance is a change of heart. Not just going before God and saying I’m a sinner and sorry. People can go before God and say sorry and continue living the same life. We should learn from the prodigals son story. The father wasn’t concerned about the sons apology but he was only happy that the son returned home. This is God’s heart, it’s not our words he wants but a change of heart to turn away from sin. The Hebrew word for repentance is ‘teshuvah’ which means return. I am personally not a fan of the Bethel church but if Bill Johnson is leading people to make the decision to turn away from sin before leaving the building I don’t see anything wrong in that repentance. Only because the prodigals son made the decision to go home he was accepted by his father and not because of his apology. Anyone who makes the decision to return to God from a sin already has made that apology in his heart and that’s what God needs.
I think prayers can bring miracles like that song what if all God's people prayed 🙏. I wish more would with great sincerity. I need to do more myself I have not been doing enough. This is a good reminder 🎗️ to do that. Glad this popped up in my feed. Ty for the message God bless always.
I am not special . I am a habitual sinner . I am unworthy of any mercy or grace from our Father Almighty . I wonder if the healer CHRIST JESUS of the love he had , the ultimate humility and sacrifice he endured for a wretched excuse for a perfect creation of a loving and HOLY craftsman . I ask in prayer for the LORD to work in the lives of my children and grandbabies . And others that I care for , and those that do evil . I pray he our Heavenly Father to cleanse me and use me for his purpose. And I occasionally remember to thank and praise him . This preaching for profit , feels all against all that is holy and good . I don't understand how so many are so willing to believe such ungodly lies . Read your Holy Bible , and spend time alone with our creator so you hear him speak to you. Love to all in Jesus name
Sadly, this is more than what is preached in the church I formerly I attended. Basically, Jesus loves you and wants to “set you free” (free from want is never explained). The R word is never mentioned the S word is only mentioned in the pastor’s catchy accept Jesus into your life prayer as in “Jesus, I give You all my sins and successes”. That’s it. At the end of the service the pastor invites those who want to follow/trust in Jesus to put their hands up after he counts down from 3. This is followed up with a signature catchphrase prayer, and folks are told to text “Jesus” into their phones if they “made a decision”. Seriously, you can’t make this stuff up. It’s a numbers game. I think Bethel is a den of heresy and the spawning ground of all kinds false teaching, but compared to what I’ve heard, Bill Johnson sounds like Charles Spurgeon.
Thank you Sean for revealing the bankruptcy of Bethel's teachings once again. Blessings to you. May God richly bless you and your ministry for His Glory, amen. 🙏
I dont think you are correct. If people hear the Gospel it has the power to change lives. You may not like Bill or his approach but if the word is heard people will hunger for the truth.
@@miket9732 Hi dear brother. I love all people including Bill . It's his doctrine and teachings that are false and it must be exposed. Look at Ephesians 5:11 and come away from such teachings. God bless you in your spiritual journey
My friend, this is a blatant misinterpretation. First of all, the clip cuts out before he even finished talking. Second of all, my guess is the reason Bill was pointing to the people that raised their hands was so that their in house ministers could speak to each person individually...because that's the kind of thing they do. You didn't point out anything unbiblical in what He said. He never said it is about a "feeling of peace." He said He didn't want anyone to leave without being at peace with God. That's straight out of Romans 5. You are being dishonest in your evaluation.
Hello Duke please bear with me as I believe an altar call is not biblical and its extremely irresponsible, I will try and explain why. I believe one should never take the unsaved to church, as church is not supposed to be a gathering of all, but a gathering of the saints, a pastors work is to teach and shepherd the Saints(saved) into a deeper relationship with Christ and to equip the believers to fulfill God's command to go out and make diciples. Matthew 28:19-20. Its you, and me, we have to go out and make deciples. We have to take someone under our wing, and they mostly need to be taught by example (best example of this is parents to their children) but we teach them the gospel and we walk with them, and talk to them about God's word the more they hear the word, faith comes by hearing and hearing the word of God (Rom10:17) the more they will grow in grace until we know they know and understand the truth, and that they understand the gospel, and they know the gospel is not about us, its about God and Jesus who was obedience to God even unto death on the cross ( never the less let Your will be done, Jesus words in the prayer in the garden). Faith is a gift from God Ephesians 2:8-9 the more you get to know about Jesus, who He is and what He has done the more you will fall in love with him and listen to what the bible says in 1Corintians 8:3 But if anyone loves God, this one is known by Him. This is called a relationship and that is what God wants and when you are in a relationship with Jesus you will never hear the words in Matthew 7:23. When your desire is in a relationship you baptize him and then you take him to church where the pastor will teach him into a deeper relationship with Christ and in church he will be equipped to make his own diciple. We cannot accept or invite Jesus into out lives He doesn't need your invitation or acceptance, He is God, He demands you immediate full surrender He wants your all and all. Any one can preach a long emotional sermon and then make an altar call where a bunch of emotionally charged people storm to the front to go and say the sinners prayer, and next week Sunday more than 70 % off them don't even show up for the normal church service. Altar calls are dangerous and irresponsible because most of the people are now under the believe they are saved and they live like the world because they don't understand the fear of the Lord and what it means to repent because it was never taught to them.
The author of the clip states clearly he placed a link to the rest of the clip on the links below, did you go and listen to the complete sermon. We need to preach the Gospel and teach the FEAR of the Lord and repentance. We are not called to make converts we are called to make disciples, every one of us has 3 callings in our lives 1) Fundamental calling, we are called to be saints 2) General calling, we are to be the salt and the light to the world mostly by example, whiles going make disciples. 3) Unique calling, that special gift God has given you ( pastor, teacher, prophet, many more) and that special gift God gave us, every one has different gifts some have more than one, we need to use and live out in the body of Christ (His church).
@@tinyrautenbach9717 That was a very well-thought-out message, and I appreciate you explaining your perspective. I understand what you are saying, but I don't see any evidence in scripture to support that we should not bring unsaved people to church. I admit it is problematic when we have great big get togethers and get a bunch of people to make an emotional decision to follow Jesus and then give them no instruction. In this particular case, like at Bethel, that's not how it works. New believers are given thorough instruction for going forward. By the way, I have zero problem with people making an emotional decision to follow Jesus, thats often how it starts, but it is problematic to just leave them there with no where to go. As you said, we are called to make disciples, not just get people saved. Jesus doesn't need your invitation to be God or Lord or Savior, but it is up to every individual to accept His free gift of salvation. John even says, "as many as received Him, He gave the right to become children of God..." Nothing happens if you don't receive what He died to secure for you. I do take issue when people say things like "just try Jesus" No... He is the Lord. HE isn't something you try. He deserves our full surrender and allegiance, but I must say from a personal standpoint I am so grateful for His mercy and grace, because I have been far from perfect in that area. But He died for all of our sin, even the sin of unbelief which causes us to hold back from God. Im not condoning sin and saying that we should stay there, but not one of makes a decision to follow Jesus and does it perfectly...
@@DukeLamastra hello, sorry my native tongue is not English, forgive the spelling and tense mistakes, I usually use this verse I forgot to add it Gal 5:9 KJV A little leaven leaveneth the whole lump. Read chapter 5 to get context. No where does it say in the Bible do not take the unsaved to church but we deduct this using wisdom. There is evidence that the unsaved was in church 1Corintians 11:17-34 but it was dangerous for them as per the warning of the Lords supper in verse 28-30, some have fallen ill and some even died. The reason so many churches have so many struggles is because many of them have the "unsaved" thinking they are saved because they said a prayer, inviting Jesus into their lives and are now running the church. The most difficult persons to lead to Christ are those who at one stage in their life said a prayer invited Jesus in and then continued to live like the world, thinking they are saved. We have to walk with the unsaved and disciple them, If we take the unsaved to church and expect the pastor to save them the pastor will have to preach the gospel message every Sunday. The only prayer God will ever listen to of the unsaved is , forgive me Jesus for i have sinned. Many years back we were invited to my x-wife's, moms church, I did not like to go as their teachings don't agree with what I believe, but to save face and for my wife's sake I would go, there was a new lady who was a practicing lesbian, I asked them why they did not correct they said they do speak to her her, I said if she doesn't listen placed her under church discipline, they responded that we have to show her love and she will change. I said if you placed her under church discipline you will be showing her love, if you don't, she will cause problems. Needles to say they did not listen about 2 years later I went again the same woman was there she caused a marriage in church to break up and she was dating the other woman (turned her gay) and there were 3 others who turned gray as well. They learned nothing, they were busy destroying the church a little leaven leaventh the whole lump. They stopped inviting me to church as I would go and wait for the old apostolic priest by the door and confront them on a few issues. For example the one day we were invited, i listened to the sermon, and it was a brilliant sermon I agreed with everything, I thought ok nice, the the priest said let us pray, good prayer until he said the following words, I now forgive you, your sins knowing and unknowing be forgiven go in peace. If i was a pedeofile I would have loved going there molest a few kids during the week go there have my sins forgiven for a fresh start the next week. Naturally I waited for him by the door, and asked him this question, if I hand you a bucket with an oily rag and muddy water and tell you to wash my dirty car clean would you be able to do it. He said no. I aked are you a sinner, do you sin, he said yes, I responded, how can one sinner wash another one clean. There are criteria in the Bible for the forgiveness of sin, contrite heart broken spirit and true repentance and the only one we sin against is God as per King David's words, against You and You alone O Lord have i sinned, so only God knows the state of our heart and we sin against Him so only he can forgive. But you are correct we have much to be thankful for, for it is only God and His grace towards us, we are saved by faith and its a gift. He chose His children before the foundations of the earth Psalm139:16 Run the race, may God hold you and keep you, and make His face shine on you
Yes God can save people anywhere anytime He pleases. But He has made it very clear what the preaching of the Gospel is supposed to contain. Christ crucified, sin, hell, repentance, and forgiveness. Anything less or anything more is another gospel and we know what Galatians 1 says about 'another gospel'.
Because you don’t know, and can’t know....why assume? He said “be forgiven” multiple times. That clearly implies sin. It’s very possible those who lifted their hands were ministered to personally, one on one and instructed to repent.
What about the blood of Jesus? How can they be forgiven? Why about Jesus dying on the cross and being raised from the dead? What can take away our sin? What is the only way? What is the only Name by which man may be saved? What are we saved from? What is the punishment for sin? What is the wrath of God? What is hell? What is eternity?
So one synonymous things I'm finding out about all these fake teachers is they don't talk about repenting from your SIN......that is the whole reason why Jesus died on the cross
Now as much as I am anti-Bethel and Bill Johnson. He is a heretical false teacher and conman, I did listened to the very end on the link you shared. At the very end he says for those people who raised their hands who wanting to be born again for them to come down and go over to some people who will pray and talk with them. To be fair they may have talked with them about salvation. But not sure.
As so many other have said: Bill Johnson talks alot often without coming to the point. What's the difficulty with preaching the saving gospel of grace? What's the difficulty to tell that if you believe that Jesus is the Son if God and that He died for your sins and rose from the dead you will be saved? Why make it complicated and wrap it up this way? It does not need altar calls. Preach the gospel so people will get faith in it. Repent from your idols and from trusting in yourself to trust in Jesus. It's simple but religion makes it complicated.
I don’t think it’s a good idea leaving links to the full msg not when it’s coming from Bill Johnson. God forbid someone follow that link and be mislead
Interesting that one doesn't see any hands go up.....because he didn't say how they can be saved, getting peace with God or anything about how one can receive eternal life!!
Sounds like the call to salvation is to come and get something from God, not the gift OF God! It’s always upside down and backwards in these false churches. And doesn’t the scripture say God turns the way of the wicked upside down !
So true. I sat in a church throughout my youth never understanding salvation. This was partly the church's fault but also my heart was not ready to turn. I finally walked into a church that taught the necessity of repentance and receiving Christ.
The problem is he should preach the Gospel...he's Not telling how to be saved or to find the peace or change In your heart. I know for a fact that i didn't get saved by raising my hand at church then heading to the alter..I had to repent...accept Jesus as my Lord and Savior..then i found peace with God...my heart was changed ..Im a completely different person..by faith..and by the Grace of God..covered by the Blood of Jesus.
So is our salvation based on our act of repentance or on Christ finished work on the cross? Regardless of how one may respond we must do some prioritizing here. First and foremost the gospel must be clearly presented to the hearer: "How, then, can they call on the one they have not believed in? And how can they believe in the one of whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone preaching to them?" Rom 10:14. Considering the way the gospel is to be articulated, the recipient’s attention must be drawn to their condition as that is the overall quality that must be recognized and eternally altered. Assuming they are willing to listen, they must know that: “The wrath of God is being revealed from heaven against all the godlessness and wickedness of people, who suppress the truth by their wickedness,” Rom 1:18. And: “But because of your stubbornness and your unrepentant heart, you are storing up wrath against yourself for the day of God’s wrath, when his righteous judgment will be revealed." Rom 2:5. Then they must know: “Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life, but whoever rejects the Son will not see life, for God’s wrath remains on them.” (Jhn 3:36) as that is the only remedy for our lost condition. Perhaps we could include: "For what I received I passed on to you as of first importance: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures," (1 Cor `5:3-4) in presenting the gospel as well. See 1 Pet 3:18. We may as well want to include the condition of the heart (Jer 17:9). If and when these truths are accepted then true repentance and salvation has been generated so that the process of sanctification can start in the life of the recipient (born again / new creation). "If we deliberately keep on sinning (rejecting the message of the cross) after we have received the knowledge of the truth (Christ and Him crucified), no sacrifice for sins is left, but only a fearful expectation of judgment and of raging fire that will consume the enemies of God." Heb 10:26-27. "how shall we escape if we neglect so great a salvation?" Heb 2:3. What say you?
Dude, Jesus only requires us to acknowledge him as his saviour .. a saviour who died on the cross for our sins. Do you think repentance is not a main part of recognising Him as our Lord? That someone who do not recognise our own sins and repent of it can truly acknowledge Jesus as our Saviour and Lord who paid the full price of our sins on our behalf? It is literally as simple as that
@@Jinkypigs Yes I agree but as well we must consider the work of regeneration once one has come to the point you are advocating. You see, God don't stop there. Repentance is a work of the Holy Spirit that coincides with His work of salvation. Even though you don't find the term repentance you do find the principle/nature in 1 Cor 6:11 and many other passages. Why doe's Paul say we are a new creation (2 Cor 5:17)? Are we not to walk in newness of life? Read what I had previously articulated again. It's a matter of having a biblical understanding of the work of salvation that begins once one believes. Man is not capable of repenting unless they are regenerated and the Spirit of God is at work in them. This is what we know as sanctification. Apart from Him we have no desire to repent and even after being saved we don't always want to comply. We find this condition being very well articulated by the apostle Paul in Romans 7. If you are "born of God" there is no avoiding it as He is faithful to His word. Repentance is not a requirement for salvation but it is very much so a result of salvation, redemption, regeneration, reconciliation. Read Romans 6, 7, & 8 and 1 John. Necessarily, the work of sanctification and repentance is articulated all throughout scripture.
Why do you need to be forgiven? You are a rebellious sinner and deserve God's wrath. This is why do not have peace with God. This pays the debt of our sins on the cross if we repent and put our faith in Jesus as our Lord saviour. Repent means turn from sin and start following Jesus. Only through Jesus can we be saved.
But isn't finding peace with God, what salvation is about? Aren't we going over the top with criticism? You said God can save people how he chooses what if he used this way of doing it?
According to the Scriptures, thess false pastors and false teachers presenting another Jesus and another gospel are not saved nor are the thousands who listen to such nonsense. These things were foretold by the apostles in their writings. "A great falling away."
I totally agree with your assessment of Bethel, but one thing I think Bill gets right (I don't believe I just typed that) at least in word, is the part where he says that they are saying that they want to be a disciple of Jesus. Don't get me wrong, there are plenty of issues with Bethel...more than plenty... but, a prayer doesn't save a person, just like making a disciple doesn't. Let me qualify that...we all make disciples of SOMETHING. The question is whether we are making disciples of Christ or not. I would wonder if Bill is WILLINGLY deceived. I get your question of, how is one saved, but I'm unclear of what you are looking for as an answer.
I really like bill johnson, he is a great communicator. I hope and pray that his message is solid. Its sad that people dont know Christ and I hope many repent and get saved. God have mercy on us all.
Wow, feelings are based on us, not our need to have our name written in the Lambs Book of Life. Partial truths are still only part not fullness or wholely knowing the Salvation of our righteous Lamb of God. There is only the stories of the pharecies and saducees
Was his message strong? Not really. Was it wrong? No? We need to follow Jesus. Repentance is turning to God and chosing to follow God's way for our lives. If we focus on God He will convict us of sin. An unrighteous person thinks they are right in their own. Thinking if I follow the commandments God will be pleased. Thinking if show outward remorse it shows how holy we are. True repentance says 'I will follow what ever God tells me.' (IE the bible) . Salvation is about grace not our sin. We turn to God (repent) make a choice to follow, trusting in the resurrection of Jesus. Romans 10:9, Eph 2:8-10, We chose a life that honours God not because it saves but because we believe, We need to stop putting the cart before the horse. So was it a good message - ill have to say not really, quite unclear. But it did have one important thing the key - follow Jesus!
Not trying to undermine you, but I used to go to Bethel. At the end of every service Bill would ask if anyone in the audience hasn't surrendered their life to Jesus and received the Holy Spirit. Some people would raise their hand. Honestly, I disagree with their eschatology and many of their interpretations, and I denounce the passion translation. But I do feel this vid is a bit unbecoming to it's topic. I do understand they don't mention sin--but I do know that sin talked about and prayed for during those times. It's believers praying for believers. Some of bethels students are actually saved, just as in every church, and there are of course wolves in sheep's clothing. As far as agreement with leadership, I denounce preterism and dominionism; I think they are delusions from the enemy but I also have come to see that God is working all things to His good through a very broken church. We are in war and things are confusing and tough but Christ is going to get us all through it. Bless you brother.
Wow a lot of hate posted :( Interesting some are concerned about praying to raise people from the dead....isn’t that what Jesus did ?....aren’t we commanded to do what he did ? I’m not a huge fan of bethel, but I don’t know of any church that has it 100% right....a divided house will not stand and that is the same as the “church”. Whilst it’s fun to point the speck in some ones eyes it’s sometimes hard to see the plank in your own eye.....maybe you could do more for the kingdom of god by doing what he commanded and not try and pull down other churches ? Just my thoughts
I think it's so telling that people in the Church attacked or disagreed with Bethel over the week of prayer for the child. God is the God of miracles, and obviously we've forgotten that if we don't think He can resurrect a child. I think such prayers should be encouraged, yet always submitted to God's will. The thing with that specific event that caught me off guard was the rumors of people prophesying that she would be resurrected (and not in the sense of when Jesus returns), and in that way many false prophets associated with Bethel should've been exposed.
Well stated my dear brother. I tire of Christians tearing down other Christians because of finding fault with a leader and their presentation of the Gospel. Can we just spend more time praying for the leaders of these churches and stop the fault finding and criticizing?
Wow. Just wow -your ministry of tearing down the people who serve God wholeheartedly is pretty shocking. I’ve now perused many of your videos and I simply don’t agree with the religious spirit that dominates your output. A lot of those who minister the gospel aren’t perfect in their words but this does not make them heretics. Although I do agree the PASSION translation is not good! In all love- I honestly think you need to be careful. This is not Godly at all to pick apart others and tear them down. It’s not at all the heart of God.
Not a fan of Bill and his vague "preaching" and his taking scriptures out of context....But at least he isn't one of the people who yells....As if yelling makes what is being said more meaningful or whatever.....
He made a fool of himself and all those that follow him that a little girl would resurrect and didn’t. He was sure that’s what God wanted, If he ‘loves the pure gospel being preached’ as he stated in the video then he shouldn’t be onstage ever! He is speaking against himself. He had his own made up wacky theology.
I love your channel and have concerns about Bethel but this is knit picking. There is no formula to get people saved. I know someone who got saved in Bthel and said there is a freedom banner where they lead people for salvation. Judging from a far is dangerous. If he said something umbilical, then you can correct but he said nothing wrong. While I was speaking at my church one day, a person repented of homosexuality and I wasn't even preaching to get someone saved.
Rom 10:14 How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher? How shall they hear without a preacher? Conceivably, God could have chosen any means for the message of salvation to come, such as angelic messengers or directly working without a human preacher. Nevertheless God’s “normal” way of bringing people to Jesus Christ is through the preaching of the gospel.
A team for salvation when the preacher said nothing about sin, repentance and Jesus's dying as a sacrifice for our sin before and during an altar call? Really?
Transcription starting at 2:12 Bill Johnson:
"Whenever we come together, I just don't ever again not want to give occasion for people to know what it is to be born again.
Does he though? Maybe he really doesnt have a right understanding of the gospel 🤷♀️
Rebecca Bach possibly then even more reason he should not call himself a pastor whatever he needs prayer
I agree Julie Mayes! Thank you. I actually was going to say what u said. Thats why its important to read and study the bible!! 🙏

Some actually do , I know a church that do preach sin and repentance and the need for baptism in the Holy Spirit
However the financial part of preaching is so wrong , I’m talking prosperity gospel wrong
Have a look at the church in revelations 2:18-29
This is a church being described as good but he also writes he has a few things against the church, that the churches let Jezebel to speak her lies ,
Which is many churches today
If you don't preach sin and repentance in the sermon you aren't preaching sin and repentance in the alter call. Prosperity gospel purposely doesn't speak on sin and repentance.. there is no baptism of the Holy Spirit. You receive the holy spirit when you're saved.
The church in revelation is not a prosperity Church teaching blasphemy and heresy like bethel Church.
Bill Johnson has the incredible ability to talk and say absolutely nothing! Makes it up as he goes, with no True Gospel.
Alzheimer’s patients talk like this. It’s called word salad.
@@Annie261. and narcissists, also called word salad
When I came to Jesus the Holy Spirit Dealt with my heart and that’s how I got save by the his spirit
I actually was shocked to hear him even say born again.
Problem is it's just a word to him. He doesn't know what it means.

Matthew 7:21-23 nkjv
“Not everyone who says to Me, Lord, Lord,’ shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven. Many will say to Me in that day, ‘Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?’ And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!’" God bless this man.
"I never knew you"
"But didn't we proclaim Lord, Lord?!"
Chilling.

Sin is offensive to American public.
Persecution is offensive to American public.
Repentance is offensive to American public.
Wow..... that's a scary thought. Thank God you're out of that church Mr. Meow!

Thank you sister. God bless you ❤️ 🙏🏼
My friend, this is a blatant misinterpretation.
People just like to nitpick on things.
We are not called to make converts we are called to make disciples, every one of us has 3 callings in our lives
1) Fundamental calling, we are called to be saints
2) General calling, we are to be the salt and the light to the world mostly by example, whiles going make disciples.
@@DukeLamastra hello, sorry my native tongue is not English, forgive the spelling and tense mistakes,
I usually use this verse I forgot to add it Gal 5:9 KJV A little leaven leaveneth the whole lump.
He chose His children before the foundations of the earth Psalm139:16
Run the race, may God hold you and keep you, and make His face shine on you
Yes God can save people anywhere anytime He pleases.
What is eternity?
did he ever actually get to the point?
So one synonymous things I'm finding out about all these fake teachers is they don't talk about repenting from your SIN......that is the whole reason why Jesus died on the cross

At the very end he says for those people who raised their hands who wanting to be born again for them to come down and go over to some people who will pray and talk with them.
To be fair they may have talked with them about salvation. But not sure.
He didn't. He doesn't preach sin and repentance and doesn't understand the gospel
Interesting that one doesn't see any hands go up.....because he didn't say how they can be saved, getting peace with God or anything about how one can receive eternal life!!
but I.dont understand what is wrong in this video?
Father God please close bethel down. It breaks my heart knowing they are leading so many away from You.
Sounds like the call to salvation is to come and get something from God, not the gift OF God! It’s always upside down and backwards in these false churches. And doesn’t the scripture say God turns the way of the wicked upside down !
There are a lot of unsaved people sitting in churches.
So true. I sat in a church throughout my youth never understanding salvation. This was partly the church's fault but also my heart was not ready to turn. I finally walked into a church that taught the necessity of repentance and receiving Christ.
Ric David, John 3:3 is speaking of man, since when was Israel referred to as a man?
Ric David 2 Cor 5:17 If any man be in Christ he is a new creation old things pass away behold all things become new
Judas raised his hand way higher than they did!?!🤔🤔
The problem is he should preach the Gospel...he's Not telling how to be saved or to find the peace or change In your heart.
When they are that altar maybe it is a one on one thing. I have seen it don’t that way before.
But how are we finding peace with God?
@@SGOV86 through repentance and salvation
God have mercy on us all.
a true Gospel message preached at Bethel ? don't think so !
This man has no idea what the true Gospel of Jesus is. It's all about the "feelings and signs". I don't think anything else matters.
Where’s the beef??
@KTTGHMTJWYCBLAC wendy has went bankrupt 😂
I don't see anything wrong in what he is saying.
And what will come out of such a broken, lukewarm, unfaithful church?
Wow a lot of hate posted :(
Interesting some are concerned about praying to raise people from the dead....isn’t that what Jesus did ?....aren’t we commanded to do what he did ?
Edward Wicks spot on mate
I think he did ok. I’ve heard worse.
You must REPENT ...smh
A Man, a woman? Sinner please!
Why ?....all he did was what we are called to do...or should we not do what Jesus did ?
Mick O'Donohoe WE are not Jesus.
This man has no idea what the true gospel is !
God works in amazing way. But it doesn't excuses that pastors lukewarm and untruthful incomplete preaching during an altar call.
@@Jinkypigs I don't know what is untruthful about what he is saying?
How pathetic....how sad, such deception. No wonder Jesus warned us about these people...
Gold dust?
Sad !
They have a team just for the salvation's and you know this!
Can you please explain what you mean?
A team for salvation when the preacher said nothing about sin, repentance and Jesus's dying as a sacrifice for our sin before and during an altar call? Really?
He is a false teacher
I agree with Bill 🤷♂️
