    Looked like some good passes. I just put a nooner chassis on my 22s. Fixing to get some test passes on it this week.

      Stamgsandrcs awesome choice as well. I looked at 3 different chassis conversions and Nooner was one of them as well. Let me know how your testing goes. I was extremely happy..always a good thing when they go straight lol

    So im ordering the roller 22s. Was thinking a 540 moto 3.5t new to it all did know if i was jumeing ro high need to rethink my motor pick. And go with a more rounded class.

    • @jbtricklerc
      @jbtricklerc  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The great thing is no matter what you pick there is usually a class for it. Most outlaw guys are running motors similar to what you're looking at. There's just sooooo many options out there now. I'd recommend jumping in some RC no prep Facebook groups and check out some builds and electronics combos. It will give you many options and ideas.

      RKV1519 that's awesome to hear and you're welcome to come out any time. If you haven't already join the Upstate No Prep RC group on Facebook to follow their schedule. This coming weekend is the 2nd or 3rd annual Super Nats race. You should come check that out. Hope to see you at the track soon.

    Your so lucky r local track don't allow any sticky 2 tires just simple green n tire warmers🤔✌👋.I bet that would make the races much more interesting

    • @jbtricklerc
      @jbtricklerc  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      V&B Speed I hear you there. I know when I first started it was tires had to be "dry" or proven by rolling over a piece of clear lexan. Now its more like you can use prep but it cant be "wet" but "sticky" is fine. I dont know if it was an actual change in the rule or interpretation of the rule but seems to be pretty common now.

    No wheelie bars...why did you choose not to use them? Thanx...

    • @jbtricklerc
      @jbtricklerc  ปีที่แล้ว

      For the specific class I was running (13.5) they were not allowed. The 13.5 class was meant to be more of a "street car" class. No promod bodies, rear bumpers had to be intact (no cutouts), ESC had to be in blinky mode etc. NPRC rules and such.

    Great video as always. I have a few questions. 1. Have you tried Brake clean with dirt oval tires? If so what were results with it. 2. What tire warmers do you use?

    • @jbtricklerc
      @jbtricklerc  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Lunday Carter I greatly appreciate the support and questions! For cleaning the tires I've always pretty much stuck with watered down simple green for dirt oval rubber tires and for foam tires I stick with the Sticky Icky tire Cleaner. Brake cleaner is what I used on pan car cap tires and pretty much moved that program over to the drag racing tires as well. However, sometimes I'll clean the drag tires with the sticky Icky tire conditioner, rub it on and wipe it off while still wet.

      @@jbtricklerc Thanks for the reply. What Tire warmers do you use?

    • @jbtricklerc
      @jbtricklerc  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@lundaycarter5331 I'm sorry lol I did mean to reply earlier on that as well. These are the Sky RC warmers. I had to order the SCT straps separate for the drag tires. The kit came with the touring car warmer caps.

      @@jbtricklercwhat temp do you warm the tires to

    • @jbtricklerc
      @jbtricklerc  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@moorespdfrk739 I want to say I had mine set at 140°F. On cooler days I may bump it up 10 to 15 degrees or so. I also feel I was being quite conservative on my tire temps, I know some were going 160 or even a bit higher. I'd pick a starting point and experiment on a practice day. Everyone may prefer something different and the difference in tires, track surface, track temp and if you are using some type of prep can factor in the results.

    • @jbtricklerc
      @jbtricklerc  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey Chase. Yes it's 67 or 68 Mustang. It's a Proline body. They have a great website that shows several views of it. It's a bit thin up front. I had to reinforce the front valance.

    So why do you call it no prep when you prep

    • @jbtricklerc
      @jbtricklerc  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Jerry great question and I asked the same thing when I first got started. It's because the track surface is non prepped. Burn out box and staging is a clean surface with no prep.

    • @jerrywoolston6749
      @jerrywoolston6749 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Where I race that is prep racing

    • @jbtricklerc
      @jbtricklerc  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@jerrywoolston6749 it seems different areas interpret and enforce the rules differently. But even at KOTS they were prepping tires. The explanation I gave is what was also given to me when I asked the very same question.
