That cave you saw from the bridge is well worth doing too. You get to it from the observatory building where you did your piece to camera overlooking the bridge. Go through the door at the back not the cafe entrance iirc and there is a reception desk there, pay your fee (again not much iirc) and descend down the steps on the hollowed out staircase through the rock (remember to grab a hard builders type hat on the way down especially if you are tall as I’m only 5’9” and hit my head on low risk ck ceilings in places 😂) eventually after a bit of a climb down you exit on to that balcony you saw halfway up the gorge. That will test your fear of nights 😂 oh and there is a cut out life size figure of Brunel to share the balcony with 👍 you will love it. Great channel btw came across it this morning and as I live in Bristol I clicked 😊
We will definitely give it a go next time we’re there, we don’t actually like cities and ironically our latest vid in Seville shows why 😂 but Bristol just has such a cool vibe to it we loved it there 😊😊 thanks so much for watching 👍😊
People can tell you your fears are irrational till the cows come home but if you have a fear of anything then you have a fear, even at 70 I haven't got over my fear of spiders so the chances are I never will and oh boy that s just fine with me! another great informative video Emma and Reese, stay warm and safe you lovely people and a hug for miss Daisy x
Yeah I know what you mean, doesn’t matter how many times we face them it doesn’t seem to get any easier 😊 so pleased you enjoyed the video thanks for watching and have a great week 😊😊X
Bloody hell that bridge would scare me. I don’t like roller coasters either Emma. Didn’t bother me but once I turned 30 I’m petrified since. Great job guys. ❤ love ya backpack daisy. My partner wears one with his dog on a motorbike lol. Wow that ship is amazing. I loved it Reece. Great video guys. Love to ya both. Lisa xx❤
Yeah rollercoasters are a must avoid for us too 😂 yeah the back packs are handy aren’t they. We put her in it so she was safe across the bridge. On a motorbike haha that’s ace love that 🥰 thanks so much for watching as always Lisa 😊😊😊😊
Thank you so much for watching as always ☺️☺️ yeah bridges are just horrible aren’t they 😂 keep trying to push ourselves though 😊😊😊 so pleased you enjoyed the video 🏴☠️🏴☠️🏴☠️
The first time i went over the bridge i was pushed in my pram, walked over many times, the last time i went to Bristol i was 62 and i just couldnt walk over it, sudden fear of heights. Luckily i have an aunt who lives in Bristol shes 95 now, spend many summers in Bristol, this bought many happy memories back. Thank you xx
Yeah heights are awful aren’t they when you have that fear. You’re so lucky to be able to spend your summers in such an amazing place 😊 and also to enjoy that precious time with your aunt. So glad you enjoyed the video and thank you so much for watching us 😊😊xx
Brilliant Vlog Guys, always enjoy watching your entertaining content, your title was spot on and certainly NOT clickbait! The SS Great Britain is as you said simply amazing! Brunel! What a guy he was, they don’t make em like that anymore, sadly!
Hey Alan hope you’re ok 😊 yeah where just full on exploring at the moment while we carry on waiting for the boat 😂 thanks so much for watching Alan as always it’s appreciated ☺️☺️🏴☠️🏴☠️🏴☠️🏴☠️
Nice one for doing a second vid on Bristol and most iconic clifton suspension bridge. 👏 what other uk cities have a 200 ft gorge leading into them...none!
Great video. Hope you have got plenty of good ideas for your narrowboat. After looking round the ship. Can’t wait for the video when you take your narrowboat over the Pontcysyllte Aqueduct 🙈🤣🤣👍🏻
Thanks so much for watching. Yeah loads of ideas now from that ship. We honestly can not wait for to film the episode where we take the boat out for the first time ever..you can only imagine what a disaster it’s gonna be 😂 😂 😂 🏴☠️🏴☠️🏴☠️
That bridge looks as high as the bridge in San Francisco! Thank you for braving it for us. I loved that old ship. Ships are my favorite. Thank you for taking us around again for a world class tour👏🏻
Not sure how high they are in San Fran, there’s 2 isn’t there? But it was high yeah. We keep pushing ourselves to overcome the fear 😂 glad you enjoyed it 😊😊 thank you for watching as always 😃😃😃🏴☠️🏴☠️🏴☠️
Very well done walking on the bridge. Way out of your comfort zone yet you did it. Brilliant! I've been to Bristol a few times but have never been to the ship. I must visit it. I too love charity shops. Clothes, books, vinyl etc. I love your adventures & I add places you've been to to my list to go to also. Love to you both & your family. Not forgetting Daisy. X
That was a great vlog. I didn't just give a thumbs up when you had crossed the bridge. I let out a "Yay!" And then you crossed back! Wow! Then exploring the ship was amazing. And topping it off with the concert! Wonderful!
So glad you enjoyed it 😊😊 yeah Emma let out a yay when she got to the otherwise also 😂 we keep pushing ourselves to face our fears . Thank you so much for watching as always 😊😊🏴☠️🏴☠️🏴☠️
That’s very true Sheila I can’t see many of these modern buildings lasting much past a decade to be honest half of them 😂 thanks so much for watching 😊😊😊
You were so funny in the ship ..i really thought something was going to jump out at you and go BOO 😂 I almost felt i was sitting in van with yous ..it felt so cosy ..i keep seeing caramel latties latley and i keep meaning to try one 😊 where do you think does the best ones ..daisy ❤ your so funny 😊 love to all
Yeah so did I on the ship 😂 it felt like one of those ghost walks 😂 caramel lattes all seem to be nice but I do intend to find the best place and then do a video about it 😂 thank you so much for watching it means so much to us ☺️☺️🏴☠️🏴☠️🏴☠️
Most Bristolian don’t take much notice of this, I have been over it many many times, very exciting ❤ Thanks for doing this vlog, I have not been home to Bristol since 2014, I live in Perth, Western Australia, so I enjoyed seeing ‘ Home’ ❤
Better not tell you that the bridge was built using secondhand chains back then, which are still holding the thing up now. Your right about Brunel and Bristol (my home town) as Brunel was a man to push limits many in cast iron and sadly died a bankrupt through all his endeavors. When you look into the SS Great Britain keeping in mind how small and cramped it actually is against how much in those days it would cost to travel in it is a very strange comparison to what would be expected today. Bristol is one of the places that if you cannot find your interest your not from this planet with so much of everything going on at the same time. Great video and glad you enjoyed Bristol.
Yeah you know I’ve actually thought about that but when I’ve looked into it you need a wealth of knowledge but yeah I’ve considered it 😊 thanks so much for watching ☺️☺️🏴☠️🏴☠️🏴☠️
Set up a buy me a coffee page. To fund your hand pan.? Plus Daisy could have her own buy me a coffee/dig treat one? Seen loads of other YTers use this to help fund their & their fur babies page/life 🤎 P.S plus FYI you got del boy & grandad on the dash of your van O.F.A.H Mandela House is actually in Bristol where they filmed the scene too the tower block 😚
She gets enough treats 😂 😂 don’t encourage her 😂 😂 I know literally only just realised the other day that they filmed only fools in Bristol absolutely gutted 😭
@romanypirates bless her, but consider buy a coffee as I'd buy ya 1 or 2! aaww I'm sure your be down this way again soon, have a blessed day & evening 🙏🏻

@@romanypirates Yes there are several but the main one I was thinking of is the Golden Gate Bridge. Its height from the water is 220 feet (67 meters).

One thing to remember, they built things to last back then. I wonder how many modern builds will take the rest of time.😊
That’s very true Sheila I can’t see many of these modern buildings lasting much past a decade to be honest half of them 😂 thanks so much for watching 😊😊😊
The fall won`t kill you,but the sudden stop at the bottom will.
Exactly our point 😂 we just hate them
