Our thirteenth day in Japan was filled with a mix of excitement and nostalgia as we made our way through Shinjuku to Abura Soba for one last taste of their unforgettable Soba. Parm opted to rest back at the hotel, missing out on today's adventures.
The journey to Abura Soba was unexpectedly lively; we encountered a peaceful protest and narrowly avoided an accident while crossing the street, reminders of the bustling city life in Tokyo.
After savouring our final Soba meal, we caught a cab to the historic Senso-Ji Temple, a highlight of our trip. Aaron couldn't resist adding a touch of the warrior to his souvenir collection, purchasing a striking gold samurai sword from a shop near the temple.
At Senso-Ji, we were fascinated by a large lantern that is rumoured to have inspired elements of Dragon Ball-an interesting tidbit for any fan. The temple grounds were alive with activity, including locals participating in traditional rituals, which Aaron humorously wished could involve grilling chicken.
Our spiritual visit concluded with prayers at the temple, a moment of reflection amidst the day's escapades.
Next, we ventured to Cafe Capybara, intrigued by these large, docile creatures. Their resemblance to my cat Mr. Eepy, with their laid-back nature and love for belly rubs, was endearing and brought a personal touch to our visit.
