I didn't understand figure 9 case... Is it used when column is shaped like that? But what will be the purpose of such shaped column?

Hi ...The cross section aspect ratio shall not be less than 0.4 as per amendment no.1 and Hook dimension 8d or 75mm in same amendment. FYI
