Even today there is still nothing to beat the sound and feel of a 2stroke motorcycle, I grew up with them, and younger people don't know what they missed out on.
I’m 26 and I think that’s still young or maybe medium but I recently acquired a 91 rm250 and since then been getting rid of all my 4 strokes. So not all of us are missing out. Can’t wait to expose my kids to 2-strokes!

This dude rides the BALLS of this thing ! I had an RG500 for a while in my twenties , bloody lucky to still be here me thinks !! Still stirs my insides listening to this bike screaming up the mountain side like it does . 4 strokes are smooth and fast BUT , I'm sorry they just don't compare to raw power and sound of the 2 bangers when your on it (the gas that is ).
That's the difference, anybody with a little skill can ride a 4 stroke properly. A 2 stroke on the other hand demands skill and balls, huge balls for that matter...

Dont know much about bikes, but there's not much on earth that sounds as good as a crisp 2 stroke sound when the powervalves open. This gentleman certainly knows how to ride a light, high strung machine. very flickable and light. he's not scared either. vive les 2 temps. hope he's doing ok.

Direct Injection 2 strokes have been in boating and in the snowmobile industry for awhile and they are much more cleaner than a 4 stroke of the same horsepower. Look at the E-tec boat motors from Evinrude, they are direct injected 2 strokes and are pushed harder than cars and last just as long. Look at the ski doo E tec also.
It took 5 cylinder 1000cc V5 with nitro 4 strokes with traction control, advanced suspension and computers to beat these litle 500cc's V4 2 Strokes in MotoGP. There is NO better, more powerful form of kinetic energy than a 2 stroke.

Twostrokes which don't have pistons firing exactly simultaneously, must always have one *expansion chamber* per cylinder. On a two stroke the exhaust has a different task. It has to create a counter-pressure, a pressure-wave which among other things keep excess fuel inside the cylinder, but also give a tuned stroker optimal power at high reves, along with the other tuning-gear. On a four-stroke it's just "as much in as possible and out as possible, so a big pipe will do for four cylinders:)
wow it's seems a 4 strokes in the lo rpms, i mean the sound (the only nice sound of 4 strokes) but when the rpm are getting higher starts the 2 stroke sound, exelent!!!
Australian firm Tularis makes 800cc stroker twin racers with 180hp, and 1200triples with 270hp Suzuki strokers from Polaris, Arctic cat snowmobiles. A reporter were allowed to test the 800, and he was very scared afterwards:)
In 1972, some built the Byra "OSSA MAYOR" 1000cc 4cyl 2 stroke... but it turned into a dramatic storie and it ended as soon at it started. This bike was 115HP. Also i'm pretty sure about another 1000cc or big cubic 2T built betwen 1995 and 2000, can't remember...

Can someone help me with this. Okay, so whenever you see 2 strokes race the racers always keep the front tire down so well despite having a bike that is basiclly a 20 ton bomb thats on fire and is surronded by blades. How are they able to keep it down so well?
@KindyCove no, i know it sounds like that but listen when it comes out of a corner at low rpm, sounds like a 4 cylinder 4 stroke to then become 2 strokes

@willowglenn It’s a hybrid, custom built GP 500 (for hillclimbing) the engine will be RG 500, must be a Yamaha fuel tank.
