  • aquascaping with skill learning the basics of judging structure and layout in a high end or competitive aquascaping way.
    in this video discus how to create a balanced and beautiful aquascape. The secrets hidden inside of many hardscapes, how that informs a choice of fish and shrimp, alond with our use or the second most crucial feature, the plants and botanical organisms in an aquarium.

    I will be going into depth about philosophies of artwork in the western world and Japanese culture, the Sistine Chapel and how it has informed our artistic sensibilities and perspectives on balance and proportion. I will be going over my ADA style Amano inspired and Iwagumi inspired broken Arch way Aquascape. Also at play are ancient geometric ratios and shapes that inform us of balance and perspective within the Western World's mind frame.
    Here ill be going over a deeper look than just aquascaping and hardscaping essentials, and trying to dissect what makes an award winning aquascape? flow, attention to detail, attention to botanical species such as Pogostemon erectus, buce, peacock moss, java moss, dwarf baby tears, clovers, and ferns like bolbitus. Beyond this there is also brief discussion of caridina or neocaridina shrimp, Amono cleaner shrip, and celestial pearl Danios, endlers, cory catfish, plecos and erythromicron danio danio.
    I'd love to hear your perspective on my approach. including geological observations and things like the mobius loop and golden ratio in my scapes, which I also use in my artwork. This is an example of why 'sacred geometry', is not just hippie or new age nonsense, but rather, a very useful tool that many artists and architects have used in works of artwork for 5,000 years or more. With Greeks and Romans perfecting it and the Renaissance painters and sculptures refining various uses of it that we subconsciously still use today.
    Hopefully, beyond the basic idea of learning the basic ideas behind Aquascaping as an art form, this also will help educate folks on the time, dedication, and planning of sourcing the perfect materials for a scape. Perhaps it will also help show you what makes a championship or award winning aquascape from a structural standpoint.
    A future video series can go into the whole other world of details, tips and tricks for presentations during contests like the ones hosted by ADA, Singapore, Japan, japanese Taiwan, Taiwanese, Turkish, Dutch, Indonesia, The Philippines American, Chinese, Moroccan and German world class skill level

    I swear it doesn't matter the topic. All I have to do is search "the secret history living in your aquarium" followed by whatever subject I need to learn about and bam at LEAST one video on it. If not multiple. Thanks Alex your channel is literally a library

    Great look and good job explaining the art principles behind what you did. I do have a question. How the heck are you going to secure the rocks so you don't get shift when cleaning and stuff after you have them perfect? I look at these beautiful tanks and wonder why the rocks are moving at times on people. Probably a weird question too.

    • @Fishtory
      @Fishtory  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      there are 4 that can move.... the others are gravity locked into place (hopefully haha). but basically you clean around it, and have good bio filters, with moving water to catch the waste before it settles
