this was the first version of mk1 i actually played. when i played the arcade version, a part of me was wondering why it had more sound effects and better graphics than the Mega Drive version. it was a time when i knew nothing about [16bit] hardware limitations. still this was the better version of mk1 to own in the 16bit era. the snes version? it did well but not many fans wanted sweat over blood. those were the days.
This game is not hard at all, even easier than the arcade version. Once you learn patterns, you can cheese the CPU pretty easily. You can often hit opponents with projectiles, and even if they block, they take chip damage. And you can keep them standing in a block position, and wear them out that way, that of course works in no other versions.
Me too - I play it on the Jakks Pacific-Version, it's much more Arcade-accurate than the other 16bit-Ports with ALL the Gore, Sounds and other Features of the Original...
Dang man. Can goro land on you when he spawns? Looks like it was considered instantly a round as you did near instantaneous damage I'd be pissed if I lost instantly because he fell or something bs
Test your might utilized male voice clip to save space! Similar to n64 version of Resident Evil 2 using Claire's audio during sewer scene with Annette regardless of what scenario you are on or even if claire is even available!
Ports of MK1 exist on: Megadrive/Genesis, SNES, Jakks Pacific TV-Game (Best Port!), Amiga 500/600, PC, Master System (only in Brazil I guess), Game Gear, Game Boy, And - the Original Arcade- Version of course!
Hey guys I play this Sega mk1 game myself I cannot get to fight reptile as no witch or ufo flies over the moon I fought reptile a lot on the arcade version
The music is pretty good, especially the theme song
I love the music on the Sega Genesis version. Just wish they'd work on the SE.

But, they are fighting and killing each other in the "Future" too - even their own Daughter Cassie Cage... It's a sad Family-Tragedy, right?

Activate the DULARD code at the main menu and there's an option to have the shadows fly across the moon all the time.
