    To me from now on, EMMA HAYES IS AN AMERICAN.
    What a pleasure to have witnessed this Historic achievement all the way from when the USSF hired Emma to bring her from Europe to the US, to the start of the Olympics and the end.
    Interesting fact, the Player who scored the first US goal in the first match of group stage against Zambia, is the same who scored the last goal which is the Gold Medal Goal tonight
    Mallory Swanson.
    Every goal she scored I shouted at my TV: SWANSON ME BABY SWANSON

    What I note out of this session was Emma's explanation of why she has such an affinity for the U.S.A. We were supporting women's soccer when England wasn't as much so the opportunity she had to pursue her career here from 2002 to 2010 with the "Long Island Lady Riders," Iona College, and then the Chicago Red Stars was critical. I'm happy to embrace her claim of being "half American." If she can take the team to victory in the 2027 World Cup, I'll nominate her for a Presidential Medal of Freedom.

    I have long noticed that Lyndsay is not the fleetest of foot. She is a towering young woman and can be targeted, but her size makes that not always practicable. She however has a good imagination and 360 degrees presence of mind as to what is going on. The opposition realise that is where the attacks are going to flow from and they need to nip them in the bud. I would particularly bring to attention of everybody, the tackle indeed "assault" of Raffaelle, late in the day. Go back and see it again. It was not accidental. She led with her left arm and hand and struck Lyndsay in the neck, jolting her head back. Then an attempt was made to go for the ball. It was potentially worthy of a Red Card. It completely knocked the wind out of Lyndsay and she took some time to come to her feet.

      She has a weird body type. She looks giant but she’s only ~5ft 9. The difference comes from a bigger upper body structure she has. She’s very smart and brave. A woman who at 18, opted to go pro by flying to Europe and joining PSG.

      it was soooo long. it took about half an hour, maybe longer. Plus Gianna infantino was there & considering how big a cunt he is, you are probably better off not seeing it. He genuinely makes you want to punch the tv every time you see his face.

      But even she wasn't that effective when you compared her to midfielders of the past. I miss Sam Mewis the most, because after their last WC win, she became more of a beast when she went to play in England and got hurt at the end. 😢

    People bashing Horan don’t understand anything about the game. She might lose some balls - who doesn’t - but she intercepts a lot of them as well. These people will only give credits to goal scorers, taking them like Marvel caracters giving a show but they don’t get the basics of what a collective sport is about. Horan is a tactical mastermind, her volume of play in the midfield is insane and that team wouldn’t be the same without her. She is the backbone of the USWNT, like it or not. Only this year, she won CONCACAF Gold Cup, SheBelieves Cup, D1 and now the Olympics. Also she won everything that is possible to win on the highest level during her career, adding to the previous mentions, the NWSL, the World Cup and the Champions league. People critising her doesn’t deserve to have her in this team or to support the USWNT in general. Also they are living proof of Lindsey words when she declared that « US soccer fans are not smart »…

    • @ozarked2363
      @ozarked2363 25 วันที่ผ่านมา

      That’s all true, but even as a fan of her, I have to admit she didn’t have her best tournament. In the end it didn’t matter. My assessment of the team was the midfield collectively were the least dominant group. Girma and Naeher were studs. The front three were relentless.
