If it was an insurance scam then the dashcam footage goes a long way in making sure there is no payout for the "victim". That's the sort of thing which gets your policy cancelled and a black mark put against your name, which means no reputable insurer will touch you with a 100ft pole. You will also have a criminal conviction. The only people who will insure you would be the IRA for about £1m a year.

(forwards or backwards) Also, the Fiat is not going fast enough for the flow of traffic, so technically the "too close" is because of the ones in the front, not because of the one behind them.

I know its easy for me to analyse this in the comfort of my home having all the time in the world, but the motorcyclist should have taken greater care to the changing road conditions. I understand he was probably distracted by the cyclists in his lane and his overreaction was from the close call, but all this could have been avoided if he had taken greater care about his position in relation to other road users when approaching a junction.
