in the build video he already mention spread 3 > rapid spread 2 dmg although rapid might output higher dmg but in term of DPS still lower than spread 3 because 1 single time it took to shoot a rapid 2 spread you can shoot 2 bullet of spread 3

Is there some option to turn off auto mount when attacking a monster? Every time the monster can be mounted and I shoot it that close it forces me to mount.
Yes there is an option, i believe it’s in gameplay settings
I had a recent epiphany about the superiority of the bowgun. I started with LBG, have dabbled in HBG, and this run brings up a question. Is there really a good strategic reason to use a spread HBG when LBG is capable of putting out these kinds of numbers?
I think in a scripted run hbg is better because of the faster fire rate but lbg justs feels more fun to play to me at least
For normal play the LBG is simply way better. Especially solo play. You can put out comparable damage to the HBG and with Evade Extender 2 you’re basically untouchable with proper positioning. HBG elemental builds are bananas though.
What is your best LBG for fastest DPS that is the most fun to play?
To me the more fun the lbg is the less damage it does. It's like food. The better it tastes the less healthy it turns out to be
Can’t go wrong with Malzeno rapid fire Pierce 2. Hits like a truck and with Evade Extender 2 and fanning maneuver you’re basically untouchable. Spread is more fun but significantly more dangerous as you’re so close to the monster, especially running critical firepower.
Gaismagorm's is the most well rounded overall. Spread is the best ammo against 90% of monsters while Pierce is only the best option against a few.
99% of my hunts are using Raw LBG, wanted to try elemental build until i realize i dont have any crafting mats for the bullet KekW
You can just buy them, there's been a point where I got so much zennys that on the first sale I saw, I bought 9999 of each ammo... And you can still make up for the mats with the argosy ! Give it a few rounds and you'll soon have what you need !
How do you keep shooting without mounting the monster? Please help. Is it ballistics lvl 3?
Setting in the main gameplay menu.
You have a setting to "attack and mount" or just "mount" in the settings. If you select the latter, you can only mount monsters by sheathing your weapon first (also works in multiplayer)
Now do that to astalos with those crappy hit zones lol

This might be a PC vs console thing, but how are you able to fire shots that close without riding the monster? Is it a downloadable script to disable Wyvern Riding, or am I daft and not looking hard enough through my Switch game’s settings?
It was a setting only added with sunbreak, but it is there under the gameplay settings. You can make it so that hitting the monster wont ride, you have to sheathe and push the button
Damage wize....why the Gold Rath over the garangolm?
You can use critical firepower with minimal recoil which makes it's damage higher and with more dps, also 25 crit so yeah
@@Horizontal_Gamer thought the same, but you can do it too with the garangolm but using silencer, gomma have to play with both ans see wich one is the clear winner for my play style.
I tend to use the Mines with aerial vault and lay then on the monster then shrapnel the shit out of them, this playatyle wirh either the garandolm or espinas LBG, the Grath wont be able withlut shrapnel
I've never understood how a monster that can fly gets stuck in a pitfall trap
You can see how when it happens. They fall in, panic and flail around, then near the end they calm down and hop out. I think if we fell in a random ass pit we would probably freak out for a little while too.
This is the same game where hunters weaponize bugs and hire little cats to fight alongside them. The pitfall trap surely won’t break your sense of immersion at this point.
I always imagined it's because they're ensnared since the pitfall makes use of a net, hence the struggling.
Even monster that can dig around fall into pit trap 🤣
