It's not simply the pandemic brosef...Sinclair is having a record year and will likely rebound with stronger numbers than pre-pandemic/2019 this quarter. The sad facts are that under Cary Silkin the company was in the red and losing money year after year....ROH was a passion project for Cary, a labor of love....and when Sinclair purchased the company they literally SAVED ROH as Cary has said he just could not continue and though Sinclair #'s in revenue, expenses, profits and losses are in the BILLIONS, as Sinclair Broadcast Group is a Fortune 500 Billion Dollar Company, had many more zeros than Silkens ticket brokerage and so...sure, ROH losing $100,000 a year was less than Sinclair spent on company Toilet Paper in 2021...and it was a 3rd quarter deal and Sinclair didn't expect Joe Koff and Crew to be profitable in 2012 or 2013 considering the company had lost money since its inception in 2002... they realized it would take some time....and ok, a bit of investment as well as they improved production drastically....eventually anyhow. And losing their STAR TALENT to AEW had to really hurt and forced longer, higher paying guaranteed $$$ contracts and coupled with "Worse than Dixie&BIG Gaburik era TNA" attendance while running much larger arenas that held THOUSANDS, another Dizzie Carter move, and little to NO interest in PPV or Merch means that Koff and Co, like Carry Silken before him have lost money overall year after year after year. Honestly I think *Chris Hanson's Favorite Wrestling Promoter....Why don't you take a seat?* Fob Reinstein, I refuse to say his name ALTHOUGH the owner of my local Video Game/DVD trader hooked me up with a stack of RF VIDEO shoots on the house this afternoon...but I think Mr. *"Im a wrestling promoter and a really rad kisser....do you want to try and pin me?"* Rob was the ONLY Ring of Honor owner to make money!!! He was he only person who made any money off of ECW from like '98-it folded...just keep him away from your teenage nephews/cousins/brothers etc. But otherwise what I'm saying is that if NOT for ROH's track record of losing money year after year not only under the Sinclair regime but all the way back to TCAP Video maybe Sinclair would overlook their dismal 2020/2021 but seeing as buying the company was a money making investment that would provide cheap original content for their network of stations and was a complete failure in generating any money Sinclair seems ready to cut all costs. Arguably the most valued asset is the Video Library but they probably made a mistake hiring former NWA BIG Bruce Tarde, silent E, Barrister of The Browneye and the self-appointed, unofficial official spokesmen for the greater southwest Texas area Golden Corale Buffet and Steak?house to negotiate the price for said library....Tarde of course, *allegedly,* weaseled the Houston Video Library from an elderly widow and her disabled son and then reached out to Vince to flip said library for something like $35mil....it was valued around $500,000 MAX...I think the E offered $300,000 and aaahhhh no go. BUUUUUT after successfully duping *Dilly Borgan* of *the 'staching blumpkins* Sinclair was impressed....but rumor is ROH is asking FULL ON REGARD prices...but word is *SoyBoy Tony Jaguar* in Jacksonville is a BIG fan of *The Blumpkins* and will eventually talk his Mommy and Daddy into buying it for his Xmas 🎁...so, who knows? Selling off video library rights certainly makes it appear that whatever they return with will be *Pink Room of Doo-Doom/AWA/Team Challenge Series bottom of the barrel bullsh!t....but they are promising a return either way. It'll be interesting to see what they do.
If wrestling is what it is today is because ROH, they gave space to talented guys and seeing WWE, AEW and NJPW most of the top guys in this 3 majors have a past in ROH, so I’m sad that ROH is changing forever, the only cool thing as a wrestling fan is that now every ROH main event talent is going to be free agent and so they could sign with every promotion that they want… I dream to see The Briscoe brothers in AEW, they could be the ultimate great acquisition for the tag team division, and also I’m very curious to see where arr going to wrestle guys like PCO, Jay Lethal, Brody King, Rush, Bandido etc. This will bring us another great moment in wrestling history, thanks for everything ROH ❤️

If this is the end of ROH, I don’t have a problem with it. For a company that size to stay afloat (and at times, flourish) for 2 decades during the WWE monopoly era is an accomplishment in itself.
