The back of Rob's head hitting the side of the table was brutal 🤮
Now in my opinion there should be an apology here, nothing to do with you guys being lazy or green, it was to do with where that table was set up and it was just proved with the other clip of Rob Conway FFS
Probably the only saving grace for Conway was that the other table hopefully slowed his descent and lessoned the impact
But Austin says CTE isn't a thing. Well Albert 3:16 says Stingers aren't a thing.
"Guess what? All my bills are paid!" you snapped Rene! Keep the videos coming! Thanks brother!
Johnny Ace treating you like he did Sid where he told him to jump off the middle rope. Sid ended up with that nasty injury. Let the wrestlers wrestle and be comfortable with their moves.
Look where Mr. Ace ended up, being exposed for shitting on and degrading someone literally, you reap what you sow in this life.
You know Johnny talked Brock Lesnar into doing the shooting star press where he almost ended up with a broken neck? Brock wrote about it in his book
honest mistake & spike said Renee apologize a million times and called spikes room to check on him.
he even got a present from Rene lol
The audio is soooooo much better than the last video like this!
Renee been hitting up Maven for video ideas haha love it
1:47 Oh gosh, that Laurinitis impression. Just hilarious!
Rene, this one on one personality you have got going now, is working. You talking directly, does work very well. Good speaking voice. Good stories.
Why am I not surprised Johnny Ace didnt care, almost like he has a history of putting wrestlers in brutal to watch spots.
Yeah he was also the one who told lesnar to do the shooting star press on kurt angle, lesnar was like 1 inch away from dying that night
Dude I can still feel your passion. Give Paul L, another chance. Let him pay you filthy. Its not a sell out. You deserve to be there.
I think renes happier and its better for him to do tours in japan and europe. Rene and Paul London had amazing talent, but always held back just a little too much. Paul especially had all the ability and charisma to be a huge star and rene was so young the sky was the limit, the time has passed and even with wwe on the upswing the broadcasts are still hard to get through
I mean Triple H. Paul Leveque
@@mgtkmgrene said in past interview he's willing to listen but he wants HHH to call him personally
Damn wwe was brutal backstage all for our damn entertainment. Mad Respect.
1:49
" *I could fire you René!* "
- John Laryngitis
Love the Johnny Ace impersonation. I remember this spot, and thought his legs are going to get caught up
I can't believe after seeing Unforgiven 03 on DVD quite a few times I somehow never caught Rob's head clipping the other table so brutally! Now that'll never leave my mind if I ever watch that show again. Glad Rob is still doing well these days despite that nearly spot. I'm really enjoying Rene's in depth vids on his carrer and moments! Also that Jamie Dundee interview was awesome! Cafe4life 💪
The table was almost in the aisle. How the hell is anybody going to throw someone that far. You’re telling them your shoulder is messed up and you’re not comfortable to do it and they don’t listen. That’s on them Rene
@@MCRUE78 Chris Benoit was able to throw Spike Dudley the same distance by himself
But Rene still did it
@@festo512 did Benoit complain at the time about having bad shoulder? I’m pretty sure if Renes shoulder was was ok, he could’ve thrown spike across the arena
@@MCRUE78 It's wrestling 300 days a year. Everybody is busted up. Why didn't he just use the other shoulder?
@@festo512 your hilarious 😂 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Spike should've been inducted into the HoF with the Dudleys.
This didn't make any sense tbh. Spike wasn't included w/the dudley yet X-pac was included with the NWO lol.
klique favours
@@CodenameRawTV X-Pac was a MAJOR component of the initial NWO run. All Spike did was take wild bumps.
Initial nwo run? Are you drunk?@@BruceMichaelFilms
@@BruceMichaelFilms xpac was not major in anything the NWO did lol. He was basically there because he was friends, he did nothing notable in the groups history ever....if that was the case then why wasn't Big show or anyone else that actually did something in the NWO prior to its 999 members? Spike was the only Dudley that was part of every Dudley Boyz run. He was with them in Ecw, then he was with them for 75% of their run in wwe, then he was with them in TNA.....he's literally the third member in 3 different promotions.
Show the DVD collection
Damn that’s messed up. Yea Dudley Boys were some of my favorites growing up and even had a school in my town in Florida but D’Von is the only likeable one it seems ahah.
I'm your age Rene. Started training at 16, I don't recall learning to fall through tables in wrestling school either. Hello, from Droz's hometown.
That was sickening to watch the back of his head hit that table like that. 😬 All Hogan had to do was cup an ear, man.
Was expecting Rene to respond to the actual quotes by Spike. However, I DIG the shoot style video! Keep them coming at the Cafe 👏🏻
Spike also likes to take bookings (2008) keep the deposit, and not show up. He claimed his dog died and also that all the concussions prevented him from remembering the booking. Apparently, it also prevents him from writing those bookings down on paper.
Same deal with Mikey Whipwreck from 2015. F both of those guys!
Wanna know why Bubba and D'Von had to use tables and do hardcore garbage wrestling? Because neither of them could wrestle. Spike was decent. It's funny and ironic that Spike or the Dudleys would bitch about what La Resistance did to Spike on that table spot when what Bubba/D'Von did to Conway looked far worse. There's also stories out there about how the Dudleys have injured people too so they shouldn't be complaining unless they are perfect, which they aren't.
Moral of the story: Don’t put people through tables!!
Sometimes I feel like the only fan in the world who doesn't want to see table spots.
Preach
You don't know how to wrestle if you can't put someone through a table 😅
Johnny Ace is one of the absolute worst human beings in an industry full of them.
If you watch enough Rene matches you'll learn he barely ever botches anything and is a very fundamentally sound wrestler. He also doesn't take liberties and only lays it in when its safe to do so like with chops.
You should go through all the dvds you have on your right hand side would be cool to see what you have there
You guys are upping the ante. These are great.
Your character was easy to hate on back in the day. Both you and Conway had something special, the heat that both of you brought was a rupture of boos which I enjoyed as a fan. But your technical skills and your promos (your facial expressions) especially your taunt! Great stuff brother.
All because of Blubber who just sat back like Jabba The Hut going unpunished, what a POS. Two guys could've had their careers ended or end up paralyzed because he doesn't want to train or wrestle properly and rely on the table gimmick.
Bubba ACTUALLY did praise Rene in a shoot interview back in 2005. It was Sylvan Grenier that he criticized and even shot on. Honestly, after this botch with Spike, can you really blame him for being pissed?
I mean, yeah because they openly said they didn't want to do it and they made them do it, both spots were ridiculously dangerous, Bubba almost broke Conways neck showing them "the correct way" to do it, so yeah, I'd say you should have thought about that when we said it's too fucking dangerous, then they do it again next week and almost kill Conway ffs
Love that jacket. You look great Rene, thanks for all the memories 🙏🏻
Great to see you looking happy and healthy Rene these videos are great
Thanks for the video! I appreciate your no nonsense commentary so this response is right on brand.
This was fantastic. Great response rene
Keep up with this type of quality content! I guarantee the channel will grow even bigger 💯
Good call getting a mic!! Great vid
Great video Rene. More like these please.
This is sick keep it up 🔥
Excellent video Rene. Keep up the excellent content brother!!
Huntsville. We had rail seats about halfway up the entrance, it sounded like death when he hit
So classy, sophisticated and good quality. Great video Renee and crew
Nice movie collection 👍
Good stuff guys!
Got damn it Dupree!!! Stop stealing my Style Dude... 💯
Really love the format of these new videos! Keep up the good work.
Also, good on ya for making a living without taking unnecessary risks in an already risky business (at least physically).
The backstory is nice, but it doesnt change much, if anything. Just own up to the mistake. It was a botch. They happen.
So off subject but Renee what’s your favorite movie? Love seeing the movie shelf!
Really like the production value on this, keep it up Renee.
That spot was so hard to watch. Surprising you and spike are still alive and well
Ah we all make mistakes man dont take it personally. Glad you got rid of that horrible dyed blonde hair 😂
I remember years ago you was in Folkestone wrestling Karl Kramer and he threw you over the top rope and you landed on the timekeepers table you you look livid. Great video as always Rene
What a pro response ❤ new fan.
this is the content i subscribed for. love this!
The sound is super crisp in this video, compared to the last one. Video has a great format and the commentary is excellent, Rene. The comparison with Conway and spike, paints a brutal picture. Protecting your workers should go over entertainment in dangerous spots like that. Wwe is wack for not listening, especially with what we know in 2024.
If they were on the apron and did the spot he would've been fine.
Very well spoken, Mr. Dupree! Personally as a fan, I enjoyed the tables, ladders, chairs and whatnot in the early 2000's. The Hardys, E&C and Team3D were so important for that era, so they started a big trend with those kind of matchtypes. But as of today, after watching wrestling for so long, I just don't need to see this. Yeah, there are some rare cases when I say it was a good hardcore match... but I can live without them. It's just not worth the risk. AEW may have enforced my look on that even more. When you have a hardcore match every week, you'll forget them quickly anyway.
Yeah most of the time inside the ring to outside the ring table stuff doesn't end well.pro wrestling done correctly is hard enough on the body do we need furniture?
For the freaks who have to know: Spike bump was 9-8-2003. Goldberg shoulder injury was 12-15-2003.
Even when I watched ECW I thought tables were stupid. I loved the over the top characters & promos, but at the end of the day they're over used and have nothing to do with wrestling 😊
WoW! No one ever talks about the next week smh 😂
Nice lav mic. Sounding good boys, sounding real good.
Got video. Guest idea justice credible
Damn the format of the show looks amazing
Respect ❤
Honest, straight to the point, didn't even have to blame the victim
I always said rest in peace before every Spike match.🙈
Fuck Yah Rene!!!
The Craziest thing I ever saw in Wrestling is Macho Man jumping off the top rope 💎💎💎💎
Tables are Trash 🗑️
💎💎💎💎💎
Hey bro, we all get it, wwe has guys do some stupid things at times, I’m kind of curious what spike and maven said though now
Spike said it was because they were green and got very indignant about it even being shown . He's a little weasel he was the locker room snitch
Just came accross you channel. I am really pissed that wwe couldn't book you from your actual home town. Especially from a fellow New Brunswicker it would have been more sweet.
Get em. I need some cafe de rene. Im bout to snap on everyone
Everyone has a johnny ace impression lol
You guys don’t have to keep defending yourself. Shit happens. Keep up the great job Rene 🤙🏿🤙🏿
My bills are paid too.
Like this style of interview
I watched this ppv a few days ago and this spot was brutal
Dude iam loving these new videos with graphics honestly smashing it rene and james
They treated Rob like garbage, this spot wasn’t fair to him. Hope he didn’t sustain any lasting damages. Same for Spike, landing on your spine like that with no fall protection looked brutal. Spike took those bumps like a champ.
Spike said on multiple interviews he didnt sustain any damage from the spot.
@@TVindustries5000 that’s good, I know he did a similar spot with the undertaker, and he was insistent on taking the bump.
Loving the new content, Rene
Truth be told this moment is forever etched "Scared" in many wrestling fans minds. I remember clearly feeling the pain myself seeing this as a kid when it happened back then. I did find it hilarious though seeing both of their surprised reactions on their faces when they seen he didn't even go through the table.
Something that I can't help but wonder if the WWE had that hierarchy of don't injure these big names, but you don't feel comfortable doing that to Spike so what, you're doing it. As I hear that line from Johnny Ace ut reminds me of Stevie Richards talking about when Chris Masters accidentally broke his face. Masters was all broken up about but Arn Anderson was saying it's only Stevie. It just reminds me of that type of situation.
Umm....yep
Only a guy like big show could have thrown spike safely from that distance with how far the table was.
Its very risky. You wrestle in the wwe at 19 you were definitely put in a difficult situation. You earn your dues by leaving the wwe. You done it all.
is this new video??? why rene look younger here?
WWE was terrible af when it comes to safety
Looking healthier
What does all my bills are paid meant ? Was that shade lol
Rene are you cutting a promo... this does look like a wrestling angle.....
Looked like the table spot on Rob was a receipt.
it didn't look like that atall, the extra table they used as a precaution actually fucked it up for them, Why would they give a receipt to someone who wasnt even involved in the original spot? common sense dude cmon
Knowing bubba, its possible but they did put 2 tables as precaution. its almost like they were like "we'll show you how its done!" then it also ended up going wrong lol
Because they hated the french
This video could have been epic it only needed 1 thing to put it over the top. At the moment you clapped the old clapper shuts everything off leaving us in suspense if those bills indeed are paid. Other than that a good video though.
I'm officially challenging Rene Dupree to a table match. Lol They always say there are two sides of every story or in this case is table. I agree though table should been in a different spot same for Conway had just the one table there look nice. Anyway any of it is better than aew needle in mouth.
How do you explain Chris Benoit being able to do the same table spot with Spike by himself?
Has anyone told you you kinda look like MJF
Let's be real. Rob Conway was twice the size of spike. You just simply didn't lift him enough or make sure his feet cleared
James here,
No offence mate, but you're not the most positive person when leaving comments here, and I actually checked out your channel when you spoke about sound and video quality, and I could say some things about your channel, but I'm not a cruel person, anyway, hope you have a nice day 👍
@@cafederene Your podcast isn't exactly a bastion of positivity is it?
No but it's more honest than Spoke Dudley though, who remember, used to run telling stories to the Undertaker, including something about Rene, Undertaker sanctioned Renes flag to be thrown in the toilet and desecrated, then told him he needs to find the people responsible and show them he can't be treated like that 😂😂 his feet clear then his head hits the floor , it was a ridiculous spot
@@geedee1264 yeah it was a risky spot, especially with the table that far away. Guessing they rushed and wanted distance so didn't get the height needed
I unsubscribed recently because it was getting to groundhog dayish on CDR. But I love the new video & it's actually clear. May even subscribe again if this continues. Good work Rene.
Renee you should just man up and apologize. Mistakes especially in wrestling happen. Spike is right you guys were just green and lazy. How is it that you and Sylvan couldn't do this spot correctly but Chris Benoit who is half your height and size was able to throw Spike the same distance through a table by himself?
Based on how often Spike took table spots and such not just willingly but practically begging for it, he does NOT get the to criticize when it doesn't go to plan. It's this kind of crap that has ruined wrestling today where nothing feels special because all the stops are pulled out in pretty much every match, especially outside WWE.
How come maven doesn't plug cafe de renè? 😒😒😒
You had me until you said using tables is “garbage wrestling”
It’s wrestling all the same, man. May not be your style, but it’s still a style. Just because you don’t like it, or it didn’t work for you, or it’s not the way your dad taught you, that doesn’t make it garbage. It takes all kinds.
