Frederick the Great. Defeats the enemy while outnumbered then writes a march and plays it with the flute. He then settles down to respond to a letter from Voltaire.
The Hohenfriedberg March was dedicated to the “Kürassier-Regiment Königin" (Pomeranian) No. 2 (also known as "Ansbach Dragoons") by King Frederick II of Prussia. Although the regiment was to deploy on the left wing at Hohenfriedberg (June 4, 1745), contrary to orders, it appeared in the center of the battle, contributing to the victory and achieving the greatest success ever achieved by a Prussian regiment on the battlefield. No less than 20 Austrian battalions were "ruined", about 4000 prisoners taken, 67 flags and five guns captured. By order of the king (until 1918) no other regiment was allowed to play the "Hohenfriedberger" when the Ansbach Dragoons were present. Because of some incidents, they were later dubbed the "Drinking Regiment" by Friedrich II. But when, on October 1, 1756, they literally saved the king from being captured by the Austrians at the last minute and almost single-handedly decided the legendary Battle of Leuthen (5 December 1757), they regained the king's esteem. Because of these successes, the regiment was not disbanded after the devastating defeat at Jena and Auerstedt (October 14, 1806). On June 18, 1815, the regiment was in reserve at Waterloo.
They weren't bad in 1815. There is reason to describe Waterloo as a German Victory since most of the troops who fought against the French were German, not necessarily Prussian, except at the end.
1740 to 1770 Prussia was the best army 1790s- they were starting to become outdated and resting on their laurels 1806- they got smashed by Napoleon in a shocking defeat 1807-1812 Prussia actively learned from their mistakes and updated their army, adopting many french tactics 1813 - 1815 Prussia was a good army once again, defeating Napoleons marshals and even Napoleon himself on a rare occasion. They were a strong contribution to the coalition, but still suffered defeats 1816-1830, Prussia built on their lessons and began to develop military doctrine that would make them one of the strongest armies in the world again 1860 to 1871 : Prussia is the best army arguably in the world, beating the great European empires, Austria, France and Denmark in pretty one sided short and victorious wars 1871: Prussia leads the founding of the German empire 1880-1914 Germany counties to have a strong army and proves too powerful for even Russia, France and the British empire to take down in a world war, 1914-18 Germany performs slightly better than her enemies in the Great War, but is outnumbered and eventually overwhelmed 1918-1933 Germany is a destitute shit hole 1933-1939 Germany regains her strength and pride 1939-1945 Germany dominated and conquered all of Europe in another world war, facing the rest of the world before finally succumbing

"Oh fu**, THE PRUSSIANS! THE PRUSSIANS ARE HERE, WHAT SHOULD WE DO?"
"it's just my alarm, dude."
Why? This March was composed after a battle during seven years war. French and Prussians were allied at that time.
