I would love to see you make a video about Native Hawaiians and their culture (and struggles). Maybe you could also talk about some downsides of living in Hawaii, because I feel like all I see in Western movies and media is a very one-sided, romanticised perspective of living in Hawaii (if that makes sense, I'm sorry for my bad English). It would be really interesting to hear your perspectives :)
I agree this would be a great video topic and a great way to boost Native voices with Tati's platform. Another thing I think a lot of people would be interested in hearing from a non-BIPOC person living in Hawaii would be how do you come to terms with the colonization of the island? How are Native Hawaiians incorporated into the culture of Hawaii that you spoke about in this video, do you (Tati) feel you are only incorporated in the predominately white culture in Hawaii?

It’s very true. My brother has lived there for over 20 years & I visited for the first time not too long ago. You can tell they had their own government not too long ago before the US purchased them because they are so different than the mainland. Culture, the people, & their energy are just amazing.
Kareena Tadeo does he like living there? I’ve heard it’s really expensive but worth it 💓 I want to stay there sometime I just don’t want to be disrespectful because I heard Hawaii is full and they don’t really want any more immigration lol

Hi lovelies! I couldn’t help but not reply when I came across this comment just for some fun facts that I hope Tati can totally talk about too from her point of view. I was also born and raised in hawaii😌 Hawai’i was taken over by missionaries beginning in 1893:) there a looooooooot of history and details if you want to learn more! The culture has been passed down and preserved for generations. I think the lifestyle has a lot to do with both living on an island as well as the mixing of lots of other cultures, integrating this amazing sense of community, family, and connection to the land giving us deep gratitude and appreciation for the land. Its such a beautiful and transformative place to live! In comparison to the mainland , I feel as though there is a loss of connection generally speaking. I feel as though a lot of people from Hawaii regardless of being Hawaiian or not, can agree that being taught to respect and appreciate the culture and land from a very young age has shaped us into who we are as a community today.
