I'm addicted to meth. I don't want to be and I don't like to be. I'm functional meaning I have a stable job and a loving clean wife. I am bipolar also. I'm a musician and I have a nice hobby of writing and recording guitar music. But more importantly my Lord and Savior is Jesus Christ. I have been praying for deliverance. I think the reason it's hard to quit because I am functional. Anyways I found your video to be very informative. Thank you and someone pray for me and wish me luck. I hope the best for everyone. God bless you!
amen! 15 year heroin and meth iv use addiction, 10 years in recovery, 6 years sober. i have done allll the programs. the goal is to reach your full potential and obviously it doesnt happen IN those programs. the hold you down in my opinion. once i moved to an apartment by myself, i had to learn to be alone, i was finally ok being alone and i loved myself in the process. the only conatant in my journey is God was by my side the whole time.
What would you do if you had two homeless meth addict living in your basement and terrified and had Spidey senses going off all the time? What would you do? I want to convince them to go to the hospital but I don’t want them in my home. there’s already been psychotic fighting fights about $20 between the two of them them trying to get me addicted to it which good luck with thatthat way never been addicted to anything like that
Sorry TH-cam did that to you. We really need candid data from Healthcare professionals like you. RN's run hospitals and are the absolute engine of the entire medical system and you all work the hardest and I'm so very grateful to support RN's- the medical heroes 🙏
They've been doing drug clinical trials with MRNA therapy which lasts a month at a time. It began in 2022 and they think market ready by 2026 the people in that trial are doing extremely well so be sure to look into clinical trials. As a loved one watching someone go down I really appreciate the video. Meth is stronger with addiction- more than any other drug at all. The dopamine is 1000x higher so there's nothing more addictive if it is smoked or main lined.
They are actually starting trials in certain states using psylocibins as a treatment option for stimulant use. Im studying it right now because i plan on opening a holistic recovery in kansas city.
@@TheDailyDoseofMentalHealth101 👍thnx for the advice. Very hard to get info on this so great to find your channel. I've maintained a regular habit of smoking meth daily for almost a decade. Cold turkey a few months ago was unexpectedly awful compared to when I managed to do it 5 years ago-cold turkey was bad enough then, and although I got through it I only stayed off for a few weeks. Made two attempts this time around, on the second one I was completely unregulated, never comfortable, barely sleeping, waking horribly, and in emotional turmoil even worse than the first attempt just weeks earlier. I had to go back on to save my sanity-kept breaking stuff and screaming into a pillow to deal with it and finally I just didn't trust myself to look after myself. I suspect roller coastering like that is likely damaging my body and mind, so back to daily pipe and considering the next step. Much respect for your profession, tho I am pretty determined to do this without any contact with the mental health system now-I had a brush with it once, which included a couple shots of droperidol which gave me something I had never heard of- akathisia. Thankfully for only around 24 hrs, but it still haunts me because it was without ANY doubt at all the most horrific and unforgettably traumatic experience in my life. Shuddering just thinking about it, and would do anything to avoid the slimmest chance of it happening again even for a brief period-and many psych meds have a waaay too big a chance of that "side effect:", it's a claustrophobic nightmare (benzo withdrawal can result in it too, I understand :-0 so they scare me now too, even tho I have never been dependent). So basically I don;'t want any meds, and could find nothing about tapering and meth. After a decade I guess there is no hurry ... so will try and ditch the pipe, and drink it instead in preparation. Then prep for tapering, maybe over a long time. I want to see to see if I can cheat (at least some of) the initial pain and withdrawal effects!!! In the meantime, back to watching your other vids for more tips, thnx :).

Thanks for insight! That’s good to know
The should have actual treatment options...the FDA is wild and biased though
Hopefully more studies in the future and funding

That’s good to hear!
Is there any point tapering?
If you can taper, yes. Withdrawal symptoms will be a little more mild
@@TheDailyDoseofMentalHealth101 maybe a video on tapering?
@@kiwi8602I can do that

Good 👍 for you not gonna try to come up with treatments because they want everybody to die the powers that be
Hopefully it changes though
