Y'all I used vegan butter. For future reference, when you see a vegan recipe developer it's safe to assume that they know what they are doing and know that butter and eggs aren't vegan. The bread is also vegan. Please just trust that vegans know how to read ingredient labels, thanks!
@@manavshah8335 I can’t answer cottage cheese because I personally never liked it so it’s not something I’ve looked into. But Tofu, it depends on what you’re cooking as there are quite a few options. In fact, there are recipes to make your own tofu.
We have this in England. 'Fried bread' normally with an English breakfast. Normally in rapeseed oil or lard. It's delicious. Gonna try the butter 🇬🇧❤️🇺🇲
I usually do it without butter in medium flame turning the bread frequently just to avoid burning. It turns out perfectly every single time and best part is it doesn't take more than 5 mins.
From my experience, without using butter, you cant get that even crust on all of the toast, as not every part of bread will touch the pan(that is, unless you use the pre-cut sandwich bread)
That’s how I toast my burger buns, I tend to do them in my pancake pan because it’s the only usable frying pan we own at the minute, but the low rim means I can put my tava on it which presses the bread down, perfect even roasting every time
Hell yea dude. As a person who is transitioning to the vegan lifestyle, you have taught me to instead of cutting out meals, you replace them. My favorite thing is the bacon, I wouldn’t never thought to use rice paper but it is genius!
@@unclevinnie8667 He said he did it like this on his vegan tuna sandwich...unless he's a phony (there are lots of youtubers who'd do such a thing) it' supposed to be vegan :)
Why wouldn't it melt well? It's literally solidified oil, it melts immediately when you add heat. Just like those wrapped American cheese slices (except Kraft also uses a tablespoon of milk in theirs, IIRC)
I didn't know this was actually a thing, I've been doing this for a long time because i dont like waiting for the toaster and also after cooking sausages it picks up the rendered fat giving it a much netter flavour.

Could vegan butter just be margarine?
@@therodentis use vegan butter because there’s rarely normal butter so I can make Mac and cheese 😢 it’s still good tho don’t get me wrong 😊
Margarine isn't always vegan (sometimes has animal products in it), hence vegan butter. But yes, you could use a vegan margarine instead too.
Isn’t bread already vegan itself

Pro-Tip; if you don’t have a dedicated press, you can just use some parchment paper and any pot or pan you have to press down
It's 20 seconds. You can stand there and use a spatula.
