    Nice. I first take out the water through one of the three holes. Then I make half of the coconut and keep it in the fridge. It takes very less time to separate. Maybe two hours.

    Before you buy any one shake it to be sure it has water inside otherwise it's very old and destroyed. Less water more old. This is the best way to get the meat BUT not the water. For the water you can insert a straw! there are 3 holes on one side of the top of the coconut and you tap all 3 hole and one will be more squishy that the other 2, YOU then tap that with a knife to insert a straw. Thanks!

      Aditya Tumbaskar... I bought coconut after shaking it well to hear the luquid sound but that coconut turned out to be old & foul smelling. Can you suggest the way to recognise the coconut fit/good enough to extract coconut milk ?

      @@70rks hello Rupam. Someone told me to look at the color of the eyes. The darker colored ones are fresher than the faded ones. I have been fine so far. Up in Canada I can go exchange unused produce if I am not satisfied. Believe it or not I have returned green bananas that did not ripen, Mandarin oranges that were sour. I have also bugged them about Filipino mangoes that were picked too early and will not ripen properly. If I am doubtful about my coconut I ask the produce people to crack it open for me. They gladly do it for me. The water is wasted but it saves me the trip to return it if it is not fresh. Cheers.

    Nice demo and best method I have seen so far. A better way to get the water is to use the holes first, so that way if you accidentally smash a coconut you don't lose all the water. It will be slower, but it guarantees getting the water rather than losing it during the cracking process.

    How to fight Corona
    1. Every1 should be vigilant. Avoid stepping out of your homes until it is absolutely essential.
    2. Those over the age of 60 should remain inside their homes only.
    3. Avoid going to hospitals for routine check-ups. If there are surgeries that can be postponed, kindly do so.
    4. Do not cut the wages of those working in your homes, support staff and drivers, gardeners.

It didn't split in two but it's cool. I got it done next time definitely doing this method. A) The brown layer will be harder to peel.
    B) It solidifies the fat in the coconut flesh so it compromises the flavor of the dish of you're cooking right away. The fat forms a separate layer & it's not good.

    What's the purpose of freezing it, what does it accomplish? The way you were hacking off the outer shell made me cringe, is there a safer way to do that? What do you use the inner shell for, you stated that it could be used for something?

    • @SriHarshaGadamala
      @SriHarshaGadamala 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Freezing allows the meat of coconut to contract more than wooden shell and dislodge from the wooden shell. So when you wack it, only the wooden shell breaks up.
