Nepanagar is an industrial township in Burhanpur district in the Indian state of Madhya Pradesh. Nepanagar is famous for its newsprint paper mill, Nepa Mills Limited (earlier known as The National News Print Ltd). Nepa Mill is Asia's first paper mill which was inaugurated by Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru on 26 April 1956.🖤❣️

Nostalgic for me. Brought up in Nepa and spend first 25 years of my life here. Greenery now is one tenth of what was in the heydays. Kept looking eagerly for a glimpse of my colony throughout the video .
Nepanagar is HomeTown, and i still remember my childhood day where i always waits for my summer vacation and then that 14 km ahsirgarh rani laxmi fort road, that always gives me chills to meet my nana nani and dada dadi. That ghar that nani ke hath ka khana dada ke hath ka aachar, navratri me bade ground me jhule jhulna, dussehra me ravan wala event, Nepa always have different chills, i will never those golden days of nepa.

It is a foretaste of a full 3 hours documentary. Nepanagar has been waiting since 1991 for its full story to be told that encompasses the impact of post colonial era and the post global era on indigenous industries. This is a township that has seen a pan India culture, since people were gainfully employed and maximum were outsiders without any baggage of caste, cult, class and creed up to a large extent hence it was a least preferred area by politicians and ironically it remained so after the industry closed down.
Nepanagar could have been a field note for the scholars of economics specially the study of liberalisation or the way nationalized industries used to be run in India.
The two of the three generations those witnessed the rise and fall of an idyllic township are still there with the memories of those halcyon days ...Just like a sailor with the secrets of sea in his heart. The only difference is that sea roars at times of a day Nepanagar rose to its glory quitely and quietly it broke into pieces. The traces of old times are still scattered there those make the visiting to Nepanagar a painful experience ...What a f.. king love hate relationship ...
