I remember watching a video of Joe’s where he was lent a fancy sports car. Instead of showing it off with friends, he opted to drive all the way home and take his granddad out for a spin instead. He went up in my estimation that day. He comes across as a polite, well adjusted young man and I wish him every success.

Out of all the UK TH-camrs from back in the day Joe is the one I like to keep up with the most. He’s humble, never let the fame or money change who he was, he’s a very talented and aspiring young man and has a great sense of humour, it’s nice to see him grow and I really hope he achieves everything he wants because he deserve it

I remember waiting for Sugg Sunday every week and it was the only thing that calmed my anxiety before school because I was being bullied. I’m 21 now and I have my university graduation on Saturday, it’s crazy how quickly time flies. I will say, even though I’m a grown up now I still go back and watch some of the Sugg Sunday videos and it feels like a big hug. It's a lot to do with the people around them I think,as in their management team, they weren't allowed to grow as individuals, they wanted them to grow as a group because it was worth more money for them and it's only natural then that they all became sick of each other because they couldn't be themselves.

I feel like he's the one absolutely genuine guy from the TH-camrs i used to watch in my childhood. Everything he did and does are honest and thought through. Even his prank war with Caspar, which was surely hightened drama for the camera, felt like he just enhanced his own personality. And I never doubted that him and Caspar were the kind of friends who'd so this with each other anyway.

He's so calm and relaxing, makes people feel comfortable and safe to express themselves, doesn't interrupt, leaves space for the other to reply and speak with their train of thought but knows when to redirect when the interviewee could potentially feel uncomfortable sharing more.

The success of the Suggs is their genuineness and many of what they do are not premeditated. That’s why they’re the OG TH-camrs, their paths are so organic. The perfect mix of having a great sense of self and concern for others that many new content creators do not have because people are entering this business with a clearer roadmap.

It's amazing to realize how much I relate to Joe! This is a side of him that I kind of knew but also didn't think he had. What's awesome about him is even after all of those years portraying himself online, he never seemed fake to me. Joe started about 15 different TH-cam tags back then that became popular all over the platform and he never got recognition. Stuff like innuendo bingo and the shock ball challenge even were such great ideas you can see his creativity within everything he does. Well done Joe genuinely, it hurts to hear about your imposter syndrome when I’ve always seen you as such an incredible person. I've always loved Joe's nature. Coming from rural UK myself, I always felt able to connect more.
I feel him on the school. Especially with kids myself now. The smaller first schools allow kids to grow within themselves confidence wise and it's almost a good thing to learn. However the small pool of people make it hard to make connections. I think that follows some children throughout their ongoing school life.
I'm lucky to live in an area where we have three school tiers still. But even the transition from 30 kids in a whole school to 250 is a leap for some. And then up to 750 at high school.
I couldn't imagine my own kids going into a 1000 plus.
Or myself when I was that young.
I know a master thatcher and it's a very lucrative business. Especially where he grew up. It's nice to know he has something to fall back on that can sustain him beyond social media.
It is an art form in itself.
It's nice seeing Joe grow. And knowing where he came from. I hope he does amazing things with Diana ❤️

Can completely relate to this podcast - like Joe said the Britcrew was a big part of my life growing up through my teenager years (now in my early 20s) but nice to see that he seems happy on how his career has turned out and is continuing to do great things

Joe is one my heroes, could watch him do anything and I have been since I was 14 or 15 back when it all kicked off. I think it’s cause I can see bits of myself in him while at the same time wanting to be more like him. Hearing him talk about his experiences and struggles just makes me relate to him even more and I find it comforting knowing someone who I always admired so much has the same problems as me and everyone else.

Hi Steve, Have you noticed how many of your “interviewees” are in a place where they want to put stuff back in , be mentors, leave legacies ? It’s deffo really rewarding helping others , I almost feel it’s more rewarding than anything else ! stops one becoming too self absorbing ….. (same as in relationships …care and do stuff for your partner, makes you happy, important that the other person does it back too !!! )

I have no idea who this is but didn't know he was a TH-camr. I relate to his early year journey his thinking & how his mind works. It so humbling to hear that we're not alone as creatives & humans!

And here is where you can see how important is for kids having a loving caring parents, regardless of they are together or not the values, education and love will be what makes the difference when keeping humans humble and settled. Love how most European countries are most of the time so down to earth.

This was so helpful and insightful! I related to many things as even though I don’t have millions of subscribers on TH-cam but still pour all my heart in each video every week. I feel the cost of it but honestly it gives me some sort of relief that many creators go through the same emotional disbalance so you don’t feel the only one crazy. Grateful for tips and advice!
Warms thanks to you Steven and all team!

Got into watching Joe from being a Dianne fan of old plus as an ex dancer, I have just done a rerun of all there dance s plus the vids of them where they watch the previous weeks training, as a 76 year old I am not realy into the digital world I dont even today own a mobile phone . With those runs & vids of two people coming together all on vidio for them themselves to watch back it was and is a magical pairing , in the old days it would be letters kept of old love affairs kept so to just read back one day , but this digital age they both have a gift for the future to go back to . Joe is very well mannered with 100% talent at what he does and treats a Lady with respect to the degree thats so rare in todays world and Dianne as an Aussie is a personalty plus but was very loud in some respects, but over the time together they have both enhanced each other and its so nice to see , they seem to have formed strong roots together, like this interesting interview Joe has depth & talent so there s the saying watch this space these two are a true couple in every respect . Enjoyable vidio Stephan..

Joe just seems so sweet and down to earth. I can’t wait to see what he does next. He deserves the world.

Really enjoyed this podcast. I used to watch Joe and Zoe back in the day and think as I was the same age, that I wish I’d of had the confidence to put myself on TH-cam like they had. But now I’m much older, I’m very glad I didn’t.
Would love to see an episode with Lewis Brindley from Yogscast. Another nostalgic TH-camr for me who quite like the Suggs, shares lots online but also doesn’t ever just sit down and speak either.

Joe absolutely agree with what you said re your audience changing. I was 17 when I started watching you, Zoe and Alfie, and related to content and life stage until I was about 21. From there on I got older, interests were different and deeper, and I think creator’s lives changed too. And it’s totally natural! It’s not just the algorithm, but it’s also not your fault. It’s just life phases shifting displayed in views.

Fantastic episode... I can really relate to the constant battle of positive and outcome in the head. I think of the best outcome but also think a lot about the negative, it's a long battle which always leads to indecisive and most often not taking on that activity.
Fantastic guest, well done Steven and Team

Its crazy because I grew up watching joe and I looked up to him so much and I still do and he truly is my idol and hero but it’s crazy that In front of the camera he’s so happy but there’s so much behind it that he’s been through so much and he’s battled so many things and it truly breaks my heart knowing that he puts on this smile but there’s so much that went on in his head and I feel like if he quits TH-cam it will effect so many people it’s just heartbreaking that during all of those videos that we grew up on and laughed at and truly enjoyed caused him so much anxiety and self doubt and we had no idea that he was going through all of this and when he says “that’s another thing I’d say to young joe your gonna get this thing called imposter syndrome you’ll learn about it later but yeah it’ll be there” when he said that it just broke me that’s so sad that he went through all of this and non of us knew I feel so bad

Thank you sooo much for this amazing episode 😍 I am struggling so much with finding this one thing to double-down on. As Joe said. I just want to dip into everything and now I realized that that’s just fine, as long as it makes me happy. Because that’s what success really means in the end 🤯 amazing perspective

Great episode ☺️ I wouldn’t necessarily say that perfectionists see themselves as perfect or super amazing at something. But it is shown in studies that perfectionists do procrastinate more because they put so much pressure on themselves to get it ‘perfect’ and when they feel they can’t do that, that’s how the procrastination starts
