Concerning the pivoting, what I've done is put one of those flexible bike flags (orange fiberglass rod with a flag on the end) right in the chainsaw holder. When the grinder head starts to tip, the end of that flag moves a lot and it's easy to see.
That's a good idea 💡. Whatever keeps you from having to turn your head back as far is a win!
Always with the innovative ideas!!

Have you used this on a slope before? I have a bunch of stumps on a slope of a ditch I need to remove and was considering this grinder.
Yes, but the tractor was not sideways. I backed over the stump to where the tractor hood was elevated. I wouldn't recommend putting any subcompact tractor on a slope as they are prone to tipping without rim spacers.
Back up camera was really smart
Trying to keep my neck from being Stump'd.
I'm not sure about your local ordinances related to fire but honestly, to remove that stump naturally ( not mechanically) you had to start a simple fire over it and keep it firing for a couple days. That is what I do when I don't need to remove the stump completely with roots. I still believe a simple rock is gonna destroy a blade in a second.
@@manukahoneyguru thanks for watching! We don't have any fire ordnances in effect as it's been raining all summer. I agree that a fire takes days to burn down a stump! Luckily, none of the rocks I've encountered have affected the stump grinder.
Excellent video, I have a BX23s so this was very helpful.
Do you know if replacement teeth are available from the aftermarket?
Are the teeth the same as Woodland Mills WG24?
Thank you sir! I do believe the teeth are the same as the WG24, however, MechMaxx sells replacement teeth on their website for much cheaper. I ordered the 18 pack of replacement teeth directly from them, I just haven't needed to open the box just yet. I'm not sure of any other brand of aftermarket teeth, but if they would fit the WG24, I'd bet they fit the SG24 as well. The nuts are 24mm if that helps at all. Also, if you check the video description you'll find my coupon code. Take it easy and happy grinding!
Thank you for your quick reply, I have one more question please, It looks like to me that the quick attach is needed to space the grinder away from the tractor so you can reach over a larger stump. which quick attach system are you using?
Thanks again, I am loving your channel!
The quick attach is definitely a must! Without it, you would have to trim a substantial amount off of the PTO shaft. Plus, like you said, it would hinder the reach quite a bit.
Even with the one I am using, linked below, I still had to trim 1" off of the PTO. You can see that process in one of my earlier videos. If you don't want to trim the PTO of your brand-new Implement, I would recommend spending a little more for your Quick Attach and go with the Tractor Supply model, linked below, as I believe it may push the implement slightly further away from the tractor which would meet clearance requirements. Don't hold me to that, as I don't own it, that is just what I conclude from the photos.

@@SeriouslyStumpd I ordered the grinder today. Thanks for your help.
No problem at all! I'm happy to help where I can. Let me know if you have any other questions.
Good job and good editing. 👍👍
Thank you! I'm trying to keep it flowing while providing good insight!
Thinking about one of these, I also have a Kubota B2301,,, how long did it take from ordering to receiving?
The processing and delivery times have slowed down as they received a bit more orders than they originally anticipated. I think they are about 7 to 8 weeks out right now from the time you order. I got mine in almost exactly one month. You just can't beat the free shipping and build quality. So I think it's definitely worth the wait.
@@williamyarborough4833 be sure to check the description of the video for a coupon code to save you even more, If you pull the trigger that is.
I contacted you once before but just wondering about the stump grinder I ordered and haven't seen yet. My order # is 3664.
@@JeraldAmoth I'll ask and get back to you. Someone asked me the other day and they said they are waiting on containers. Hopefully that's not the answer I get on yours.
I was told they sold out around the time you placed your order and that the entire next batch of Stump grinders will arrive in about 6 weeks. They received way more stump grinder orders than they anticipated and burned through their stock in the US warehouses.
Okay. Does that mean 6 weeks from now or 6 weeks from my order time (June 26)?
@@JeraldAmoth from now. They carried on that it would be early September before they get the next batch of Stump Grinders.
@@SeriouslyStumpd thanks. That's a ways out. They took my money on 6.26 and I get nothing for a long time...
How long did it take to arrive after ordering it?
@@WorthDoingRight I ordered early May and received it early June. But I think they're currently on a 7 to 8 week time scale. They're doing their best to speed up production.
Will this grind southern pine stumps?
Any day of the week and twice on Sunday hahah.
@@SeriouslyStumpd , I just ordered the MechMaxx stump grinder and used your code. SO, fingers crossed. I have about 50 stumps thanks to hurricane Idela, mostly longleaf pine with size ranges from 6inches to 25inches.
@@larrygrubbs4158 It''s a well built machine. You'll be satisfied with it I'm sure! What tractor are you hooking it up to?
