- This video covers this years Annual Charity Cycle Run, organised by the Burry Port Rugby Club, under the supervision of Mr Geraint Davies. The weather forecast wasn't good for the event, which runs from The Rugby Club at Burry Port along the Coastal Path, through Pwll and on to Llanelli.
As always, there is a wonderful turnout for this event, with all participants, young and old in Fancy Dress, and with the help of some liquid refreshment, gather at the Rugby Club, and depart full of high spirits for the run ahead.
The event this year is to raise funds for Cancer Research UK, LATCH, and The Burry Port Park Appeal.
This fund raising event was started back in 2000 when one of the organisers Jeff Kathrens contracted Legionnaires Disease, regrettably Jeff passed away in 2010, but the event has carried on under the Chirmanship of Derek 'Bubbs' Bunyan until last year, and Geraint Davies this year.
The Run was started by The Mayor of Burry Port, Councilor Andrew Phillips, so a big thank you to him for attending.
Well done to all for this great charity event , they all did well and with a few lagers down it sure got them in to the SPIRIT of it , well done Mr Cameraman in covering this fund raiser and I hope they raised plenty for the 3 charities ...Dave

Enjoyed every minute of this Bob. I have never seen so many bikes at once in any part of the UK as in this video. Good fun all round and for the charity causes helpful too!

Haha Bob, that was so enjoyable to see a local event with everyone joining in the spirit of the event, having a beer or two and having a right good laugh! The outfits were superb, very colourful and bright. I hope there weren't too many comfort breaks along the way to disrupt the progress of the cycle run - lol! Thanks for sharing it. Ken
Thanks Ken, never a dull moment with these wonderful people, they always take part and do so much for local charities....as to the comfort brakes, there were lots and lots of them, so you can imagine what it was like later in the day.....not suitable for family viewing....Best wishes..Bob

Just brilliant Bob.....Well filmed......It seems half the population of Burry Port turned out for this charity event. You must be very well known....although some were quite shocked when faced with your X920 !!!! Marvellous fun video, hope they raised lot's of money for the 3 charities....Best wishes......Steve.
