This channel documents my adventures travelling around Southern Africa.
Four years ago I left the big city, towing my caravan and a speedboat with my cat for company, never to return to the big city.
I'll be documenting my adventures and showing caravan parks that I spend time at in Southern Africa.
The tiny house movement is small in Southern Africa, but is growing quite quickly.
There are still ways to live in this world that allow one to wander the world, as John Wayne used to do in the old western movies.
As I get older I have the choice to sit in four walls, watch TV and get grumpy, or go off and have an adventure in my old age.
I've decided to choose the adventure and I'm seeing some great places and having some amazing experiences.
Hopefully these videos will bring out your inner 'John Wayne'.
Please like and subscribe and don't forget to ring the little bell to be informed of new videos when they come out.
If you like the concept and the videos, please spread the word to grow this channel.

I've noticed that some of the people who've watched this video have taken Mozambique off their list of places to visit. That's not my intention at all.
MOZAMBIQUE IS A LOVELY P:ACE, PLEASE GO THERE.
Every country has negatives, South Africa is probably at the top of the list. I've just pointed out some of the difficulties in this video.
Mozambique is safe, the water is great, the beaches are lovely and the people are friendly. I'll go there again, but I'll be aware of some of the difficulties and make arrangements to get around them. Just take a couple of R50 notes to slip to the "Buy me a beer" crook. You'll go through easily with a lovely smile from the crook.
Don't be put off. You get difficulties that you have to navigate all over Africa.
GO TO MOZAMBIQUE, YOU"LL HAVE A GREAT TIME.

Hi Don! Greetings from a fellow solo traveler and caravan enthusiast! I share your passion for exploring Southern Africa in my caravan, and your insights have been invaluable. I've been following your adventures for quite some time, and this latest video on Mozambique was both informative and eye-opening.
Your honest take on Mozambique's challenges, particularly the scams and corruption, is noted. Mozambique was on my "bucket list", but your insights have led me to reconsider. Thanks for shedding light on both the positives and challenges of this journey!
I run a similar channel to yours, and it's great connecting with like-minded people. Who knows, maybe our paths might cross one day. I'd love to swap stories and experiences. Wishing you and kitty a Merry Christmas and safe travels ahead. Cheers!

Good day, thanks for all your videos. I share your sentiment on Mozambique. Corruption of the officials is mind blowing, not only border control officials. We went through at Lembombo, there is a man asking R100.00 to speed up the process of the TIP. He take the people at an “office” and help you fill out the form. Then your form will be taken to one of the officials at the front desk. So the honest person standing in the queue must wait for one of these bribe forms to be completed and then its your turn. Creating an back lock and “ forcing” the rest of the people to use the bribing system. Our 1st and last time to Mozambique.

Thank you Don for this honest review, although you did try to highlight some good parts (i.e. the dive centre) I think I will give this one a miss, there are many beautiful places in SA to compete, albeit with our fair share of negatives (crime, roads). I do enjoy your "behind the scenes" information on the aspects of nomad living, how do you find the 250GB data sim, is this enough? enjoy the festive period.
