Awesome content as always
Thanks James for starting the challenge, I will be doing the threads app on MAUI blazor.
Go JamesM
I love your content so much . please bring more maui project like this making famous application with maui platform .I think it is very hot topic . You deserve millions sub. ❤❤❤❤❤❤
Very nice. James, could you do more videos on using C# to develop UIs?
Do you mean UI in C# and not with XAML at all? I'm a long time Xamarin developer and for the past few years Flutter developer also.
If you like to mix UI code with BL, why not just use Dart and Flutter?
I love both Frameworks, you might like Flutter 😊
I love my Xamarin and MAUI with good separation of UI and BL. Just more clearer to see. And now with Hot Reload for both XAML and code behind. WAUW!
@@sigma_z I am a C# developer and there is some amazing C# only MVU libraries for developing apps in C#. And I am not a fan dart.
I am currently a .NET MAUI developer. Can I easily adapt to Flutter?
@@DylanReuta They are two different platforms. If the reason to move to flutter is compelling to you, then you need to invest to learning dart programming language and tools as well as its platform.
I'm way early into the video, but being a Visual Studio guy, I am curious if the direction to go, going forward, is VS Code?
The extension had just been released into preview so wanted to give it a test
Hi James, i d like to ask you if it is possible to publish my MAUI Application for windows from visual studio for mac ?
Windows from windows only. Will need a VM to do it. Or CI system
I just tried VS code with one of my projects. Program ran but had behavior inconsistent with normal operation. When running in debug mode it would crash on random things that did not trigger in Visual studio or on a physical device.
I don't feel comfortable with vscode and maui until I can reliably run an app with consistent behavior when testing. I had it crash every time I ran a toast. That works fine in release/debug mode in visual studio and on every single physical device I have. It behaved weird in windows, android, IOS, and Mac simulators.
I love VS Code but that sort of behavior would make any attempt to use it a nightmare!
And come August 2024, that will be your only option on a Mac.
Was going ti create a video for this (Creating Maui App using C# only no XAML). now when master did it, there is no point me creating a video for this.
So you write xaml in code? why?
Link to that playlist damnnnnn
whatttt, you can code maui with VS CODE ?
Yes Yes Yes!
I would recommend to anyone who wants to get started with dotnet MAUI not to use C# markup. You are going to have so many problems trying to translate XAML examples into C# Markup. The C# Markup is a good thing but not for beginners you will have so many problems I do not recommend for now.
On UI you can use the XAML or html, css and js(Blazor). I don't even know why anyone would want to use C# for UI.

Where can i get you background music? Hehe. Seems like a good music to have while coding.
More to power you sir btw. I love your videos, been a real help in my career, thank you! 🙏🫶
They are all streambeats just google that and you will find it
