Reminiscing my visit to the Pot Kiln 12 years ago. Delicious! I'm back in Blighty in December for a few days (visiting Poundbury). Wondering if i can ...
Mike the wool insulation is also great for your compost heap. Lay it on the top in early spring, the birds love it for their nests and it can then be combined into the heap as dry matter.
Great Video, I love venison. I butcher 20 a year for family and myself and it realy is an amazing meat. Mike, the charcuterie of uk wild venison is missing from our shelves, please address this also.
Love the video, my God i was so jealous of you eating the tod in the hole, I know deer are TB carrier's what percentage do get discarded for the food chain.
Hi serious question: why do you want the fat on ? I find that it doesn’t act the same as fat from beef/pork etc and is more like tallow…. Which I find hinders what I’m doing? Love to hear your thoughts
@@ChefMikeRobinson There used to be only 2 herds in the world - the Epping one and the other in Sweden. Loved your video...really interesting - well done!

It protects the carcass fron drying out - and is an indicator of carcass quality.
Where did you get black fallow from? They used to only live in Epping Forest.
We seem to have them on all our land!

Proper grub
How long would the deer be hung in the fridge before processing?
A week
I see you hang your deer with the hide on , unlike cattle that hang skined. Is there a reason?
