Really good breakdown, there's a lot of stuff in here (I'll listen to your full breakdown later.) For Amurai, the +5 -> +15% spell damage on collective is a HUGE winner for support builds, literally tripling what you contribute to allies. The Elemental Healthsteal rings are definitely worse, but it's REALLY nice that they're not blocked by armor any more. Healing classes used to jump through hoops vs certain maps, and that's no longer true. Collision builds, really complicated haha, but basically they lose 25% base damage, and they gained some damage elsewhere which helps contribute, but generally doesn't make up for the 25% base loss. (For example, if you were chilling with like 400% collision damage before, losing the base basically means you "lost" 125% of additional damage, which is more than any class seems to have gained.) They're still super sweet and fun though, I still feel like I can clear almost anything with them, just a little slower / slightly less safe.
WOW Great eye on the health steal rings. I know that armor really messed with the lifesteal. Imma tell you this: Albuera mega buffed solo classes right after mega nerfing them LMAO. I still need to do more testing but some of the equipment released is borderline nuts

I just started this game and I am wondering is it better to pick a Hero or just pick a class? I just picked a Sram class to start cause I like assassin/trappers.
Welcome! I think the most important thing is to TRY classes. They all feel different and some will really resonate with you. Don't hesitate to reset your hero skills and try other builds. What I WOULD avoid doing is spending equipment/companion/spell runes since those are limited as you begin the game. Wait until you have a class you know you like. The best thing about WAVEN is all equipment and companions that you upgrade with one character will carry over to any other character you play. They are limited by the character level but as an example if you have one level 24 character with all equipment leveled to 24, if you make a new character at level 1, as it levels up, the gear will also level up, all the way until 24. So upgrade things and don't feel like you've made mistakes. You'll use everything at some point in the game~
I could do something like this giving an explanation of each character with some personal thoughts but its hard to rank everthing. We are constantly finding new builds that make "some" bad classes actually really good. That's definitely the best part about WAVEN. With enough exploration and thought, anything is possible and good~ I will definitely work on making a nice overview of each class soon~
@Thriftshoppin I understand your reason but as a new player i don't want to waste my time on useless char and there are really a few guides about classes, since game keeps getting updates.
Blunderbust changes don’t affect me. Imagine playing Voracious and only ever seeing nerf after nerf. My fully runed Bakara cries after these nerfs, but it hurts my Kokoro Brush even more Imagine buffing collusion classes but nerfing the already low collusion base damage 😅
Yeah some of the changes were pretty excessive. It feels like there's so few companions to use now. Outdated Champion is like S-Tier but only if you run Fire.. what are other classes supposed to run? Hopefully these new companions fill some of the void created.
@@Thriftshoppin Wait why is Outdated so good? 1 ap reduction doesn't seem that insane? And I personally use Lil thorn and Lou a lot, and from mono element the water +1 ap 3-cost and +2 ap 4-cost bird, air I use push lady, earth kinda sucks though.
You're correct! Same developer, Ankama. Super fun game that will have full mobile access and no gacha (so far). It'll be probably the fairest F2P game on a mobile service that can also be played on PC.
@@Thriftshoppin try any ele band I prefer lightning 9 deck spells that all give status and combo give auras since the combos let you choose to use whichever element doesn't change your auras till after hit you want the does not consume and release all then just tank stats gear spell dmg and anything fancy on top triggers so many effects per turn
