I am so glad you are back😃.
Can you please do a youtube on chromatic aberration. Especially when you have a bright sky with trees/branches. Can be difficult getting rid of chromatic aberration without distorting the image. Thank you

I love gfx cameras but what stops me is the size of files…and the total price of body and lenses…gorgeous result!

Hi - I like doing landscape panoramas. I usually use 24mm - its the widest I have. The issue I have is that the detail/area on the horizon looks as though it has been flattened/squashed compared to how I remember the view. I have tried using different projections in LRC and shooting at 50 mm but this "illusion" in the stitch comes out the same. I wonder if you have noticed the same thing and/or have any thoughts on the matter. Thanks.

I do I get better result with 3 photos at 30 then one at 14, less distorsion and more natural feeling especially if there is a lead line like a bridge

@@SergeRamelliPhotography I don't know why I didn't think of this before. Yesterday I was at my sailing club and adjusted the zoom until the size of the hills on the far side of the lake in the viewfinder matched what I was seeing by the naked eye. I ended up with a setting of 100mm. I tried an experimental pan and found I needed about 44 frames in three rows to get most of the scene. I used landscape orientation as it was easier hand held. Anyway - success! The resulting stitch gave a much more realistic result than using 30mm or even 50mm focal lengths.

Great video Serge! I'd like to see a future video about using on camera flash outdoors and any flash modifiers you might use for that.

You really do read every comment, I can vouch for that. I think 99% of my comments have always been responded to, whether they're positive or even not-so-positive. Much respect and appreciation, Serge.
I'm going on a trip to Scotland and England next year, and I would like to take photos of places or things that haven't been over-photographed. It'll be my first time in the UK. Do you have any tips on scouting locations that aren't so mainstream?

Bonjour Serge, thank you for another great video. I have small question, probably silly, maybe you could answer it here or make another video? So question is - how to export from LR such huge panorama (20k pixels) to usual resolution for most of digital platforms (ex. 2500 wide side) with minimum loss of quality? Or, generally, wich settings for export from LR (for media) would you recommend?

    • @SergeRamelliPhotography
      @SergeRamelliPhotography  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

i only export that size for priting, when i export it for the web i do max size 2500 pixel

To see, how Serge organise his archives would be interesting. One remark from myself: I'm working in the It for a long time. A system that's works for Serge mustn't works for you. I changed last year from Photoshop Elements to Luminar. With that I reorganize my archive completely. Here I needed a week to create a new structure.
Serge, when you like to present other folder structures, I would give you a description of my structure.
      Have a nice weekend 😊.
      Regards, Dirk

I switched to mostly using prime lenses a few years ago, but I'm still pretty inexperienced with stitching. I really should give it another try!

2:55 What would I like to see?
Do you know work by the late, great painter Thomas Kinkade? He's nicknamed _The Painter of Light._ You, Serge, should be _The Photographer of Light._ I think of you every time I use a rad filter to "turn on the lights," as you say in your videos. I love the ways you use light in your work whether existing light as shot, or with post processing tools to manipulate images to show light -- much as Ansel Adams did in the darkroom with dodging and burning. I'd love to learn more of the Ramelli Method.
And related to this video, have you considered explaining, in your patented Serge easy-to-follow way, parallax distortion and the importance of pivoting the camera properly (or a close hand-held approximation) while taking shots for a pano? With proper pivot, we don't need 30% overlap, and Photoshop can probably handle shots taken with lenses much wider than 30mm.

I would really appreciate if you could make more videos of you editing and post-processing your raw photos in Camera Raw (local adjustments, brushes, radial filters etc). You had many videos like this in the past, and I really enjoyed them back then. I learned a lot of new techniques and your style and it was relaxing at the same time. I think you would get so much more views with these kind of "How I edited this photo" videos.

I appreciate you making this video. But I am getting a bit allergic against this clickbait stuff. I think even you have shown these “tricks” a few times over the years. And maybe I am doing it for to long… but those are also rather basic things. Still, I am sure a lot of (bit newer to the game) ppl will enjoy this and learn something.
It’s just this “reading the title” … thinking “ohh, he got something new and advanced” and than… well, you know.
