As far as I know, all animals follow the tandem system where only one can attack at a time. So even if you had a bear, moose, cougar and wolf together, they would all aggro you but only one would attack while the others sits in a hostile pose. The wolf would likely flee, though, as it is scared of the other animals. I once used this strategy by aggroing a wolf and then walking through several wolf nests, which ignored me since they were in queue with the stalking wolf.
That is very interesting and good to know. Thank you for the information! I'm always trying to learn more. Which is why I test random things. lol I have questions about the tandem system now. Like which animal gets priority and when. I will do some testing of it. But, thank you so much for piquing my interest about this and for the comment- it's an honor. :)
IRL moose vs bear usually comes down do "is the moose bigger and uglier?" but the bear in TLD seems to be an unholy combination between a black bear and kodiak bear so at this point they can just do whatever the devs want because its not a real species and therefore anything goes. the timber wolf thing is an oversight though since lone wolves get brutally hunted down by wolf packs and exactly that happens in bleak inlet; when you arrive the first thing you see is a mauled grey wolf and the second thing you see is a timber wolf pack. in any case thx for the vid jitwire
Yeah, I was hoping for something... I know moose and bears are normally far enough apart that it probably didn't matter to make them react. But it would be interesting if one or even both fled. I agree on the wolf vs. timber wolf thing. It feels like a missed opportunity. And you're welcome. Thanks for checking it out.
I thought that it took an Active pack of timberwolves to scare off a normal wolf; unless the lack of other timbers is the case, i'm disappointed that it isn't a feature.
As a Canadian, this would realistically happen. They're both really strong and really tough animals that they wouldn't really want to mess with each other unless they they were forced to
Hello! I’m at desolation point in my new stalker run, I can confirm the Moose spawn is still at the bridge because I just got it there, gonna check if Scruffy is still there in the cave once I haul all the meat and stuff to the riken. I’m looking forward to seeing more of the wildlife refresh videos and I hope you have a great day!
Moose should be able to scare and attack wolfs. While a pack of Timberwolf’s should be able to attack a moose, successful RNG or not. If you say got 5 or more wolfs they should work in tandem. Basically lesser Timberwolf’s and easier to scare and kill. No health bar either. Bears should actively hunt wolves, and deer to give the idea hey there’s a predator.. while if there’s more wolves then they could attack the bear.. fleeing, dying or being injured. Bears and moose can just leave each other alone as technically the moose is the larger animal. Cougars should attack wolves for sure! That’d be a cool mechanic! But overall the wildlife shouldn’t be as tame as it is to each other. And they could easily fix this. Also I wanna be able to kill crows! Perhaps they add one last map that’s a mix between all of em. You got a town, outskirts with large grounds and hunting lodge, mountains and ravines, a massive lake, then a coast with another town, then somewhere in the mountains a small town, like before they finish we need the ultimate region where it could theoretically take at least 24 real life hours to explore safely. Combining every map together persay. With shit like a Bus that has a campfire in it or wood stove, a door that closes, it’s not perfect but not bad, or you can sleep on the seats, etc. Like if the player is willing to use calories, I can see how some creative stuff being done. Just a rant
Yeah, I was hoping for more interaction with wildlife. But I know Unity can be a bit restrictive and it isn't as easy to code more complex things like it is in Unreal or a custom engine. I also like your map idea. That would be a very interesting and enjoyable experience to explore.

It would be really cool if the timberwolves hunted down normal wolves or at least scared them away.

@@Lakefish_HAXX I can give that a go and see if the wolf runs off is their agro is triggered.

@@dr_claw888-mv2hn Yeah, I know that is how it is in the wild. So, I kind of figured as much.
Pretty true to life actually. Most animals coexist in a mundane way most of the time.
@@UberHypnotoad That is true. Thanks you.

@@Aaade997 Thank you! The next one will come out sometime today. :)
Fun video, thank you for sharing
Thank you!
wish devs would add some interactions between animals or atleast make em avoid each other by walking away, still interesting though
Yeah, I was hoping they would do... something. Anything really. But, I still wanted to know- for science. lol
timberwolves should hunt moose, they are known to take down large prey in pack hunts
@@sebastianflueras They should. I know they take down moose in the wild.
Super Fantastic Awesome 👏
@@offcolorstudios thank you
A quick question, how did you get so close to the animals wothout them recognizing you, especially with the wolves? 😂
I used the dev console mod. I figured that was the best way to test how they interacted with one another.

Cougar vs moose 🥺
Haha, I think I might actually do a bigger video where I spawn everything in at the prison yard and we just see what happens. xD
