Opening these packs was a roller coaster of emotion, from mild indifference to the depths of disappointment. While the free floating commons helped to smooth some ruffled feathers, the only true mystery in these packs is who actually submitted a Jesus Aguilar to PSA…

So the first 1987 Topps pack had gum stains on both the front AND back cards? So not only are they junk wax, but searched junk wax packs. Wow what a rip off.

Also I think the Bichette card is one of the cards with the highest number of PSA graded 10s in existence, and they gave you an 8. Sad.

Yea I would agree 2/5, I do like the notable names for the graded cards. I think one retail pack and one hobby pack would make a big difference
I can't believe you weren't excited about pulling a Jose Lind. Your brother would have been thrilled!!! That's all I have to say about these mystery packs.
1 star out of Five. The graded cards are a good idea, but the best graded card was maybe $20 and when you combine that with retail packs there will almost never be a positive return. 80% of the mystery packs you open every Monday are better.
After opening all the packs I received, I wondered if they are called Zoo Packs, after the fact they traveled the country holding up a sheet of cards and letting the host monkeys at each zoo pick out which cards to submit to PSA and what packs to put in each zoo pack, choosing packs from the boxes found in the back room and the topps retail boxes currently available in their gift shops. If you are buying for the cards, monkey poo, if you’re buying as an animal lover, monkey do!!!
I bought one pack to try my luck. I have since ordered 20 more! Sure, it's expensive (and a bit wasteful to have to throw away all the crappy cards), but nothing beats the brittle, chalky nostalgic gum that retains its flavour for eleventeen seconds!
I was in Burbank Sports cards in California a while back. I went in to look around & over heard “ the cards in that room aren’t worth 💩”. He was referring to a small room in back of him that was stocked with ‘80s & 90’s sports cards. From ceiling to floor. So this is what they are doing with them.
Yeah, 2/5 seems about right. On the one hand, I like the variety of the sealed packs and that they throw in extras. On the other hand, feels like floor for the slabs is very, very low while the ceiling is pretty iffy. Assuming everything on the front image is actually somewhere in one of the mystery packs, there's a couple of super-high ceiling hits. But the cross-section of slabs we see here doesn't really inspire a whole lot of interest. For me.
Those 87 Topps definitely appeared to be resealed. Pretty low IMO. 😒😒😞

Wide variety from readily available retail packs. Also really nice to see some of the classic packs and the opportunity at a decent slab.
Cards seem lackluster but reminds us of where we started with the throwbacks and how a majority of us started at retail.
Good idea on the graded cards. But the wax packs spoil it.

I enjoy this pack, reminds me of a scratch off lotto ticket, sometimes you win, sometimes you lose, but it's always fun. Next time I'm feeling like I dislike my job, I will always remember that someone got paid to put Topps Gypsy Queen commons in pennysleaves 😂

My Review:
The packaging was excellent! The included packs and "extra" cards were for the most part, terrible. Slabs weren't too bad I guess. But the problem is it just seems too thrown together for the price point. If they "themed" it a little more it might be ok, or if they had chase cards or odds or soemthing to try for. I just don't think I would be happy with the outcome if I bought one, or ten. I would have to go with a ONE star unfortunately.
1/5 stars the graded card is a good idea but they should be at least a psa 9 and the 2 packs should be hobby packs to somewhat justify the 40 dollar price.
I think that it is a cool stuffing stocker but it should probably be down to like 30 bucks
If they’re asking $40, then there has to be a few big graded cards to chase and at least one hobby pack, preferably two with a junk wax pack. Otherwise this is just about them getting their investment back on grading mediocre cards and tossing out junk wax and retail packs. Sad thing is it might work on a platform like Amazon if people who understand grading and pack values don’t leave reviews.
That's exactly what they are doing. I doubt there is one pack worth $40.

I like the print on the packaging after that all down hill.
You have to think about the time it took to put these together, the expensive wrapper, the grading fees, the time and money to find the "vintage" packs and add the Amazon fees on top of it, these are a steal of a deal at $40! Said no one ever!! Lol what a rip!

You make a great point. Selling them at $40 each means you're probably getting $10 in cards. Most of that is put towards grading. Basically, you're throwing $40 in the trash.
idk what you plan to do with that Baez card you pulled but if we could work something out, i collect him, i’d love to get that card if i could!!!
If you wonder why PSA return times all so long, look at the trash people send in to get graded
I knew it wouldn't be good because there are 3 typos on the packaging: secundary, cantained, and trademarksof. Also, most card buyers on Amazon are probably people who buy gifts for others and don't really know what they're buying.
All i could think about that Aguilar is that was a short print
2/5 is a fair rating. I wonder if they feel some packs for the relic card size and toss them into the packages that are more poo than the others

I just bought one last week for $12 to try them out. Got a 87 Bo jackson Future Stars that was an 8. I figured no too bad. Went to order a few more. The price is now $19.99 each lol I don’t mind the 12 for a gamble but not for $20.
Jabs is first on opening these and that’s not a rare occasion 👍
☆☆ Not worth the price point but i think the graded card was good but some of the packs were a bit of a disappointment. I would rather have a mid range blaster box for the money.
It costs more to grade that Madrigal than what it's worth as a psa 10.
Psa 8 is good for a drinking coaster
1.5 stars. The combination of old and new retail packs is somewhat cool, but doesn’t justify the price. As for the graded slab, ridiculous. Your best bet would be head to rite aid or Walgreens and purchase the $6 mystery box they offer.
They are good packs because it cost them money to get graded. The only bad thing is the older wax
No they aren't. What someone paid to get those graded is irrelevant to what you're paying for the pack now.
They didn't spend the money getting these cards graded and then put them in these packs, they bought a bulk lot of already graded cards that somebody else spent money on and probably took a loss because the grades came back poorly. When you see somebody submitting hundreds of cards and only 20% of them come back as tens they probably offload the rest of them at a reduced price and that's how they end up in packs like this

My guess is this joke of a company bought cheap boxes and a ton of BULK PSA slabs and repackaged them for a HUGE markup. Almost all the PSA cards were from the infamous "2019-2021" JUNK SLAB ERA.
I have been debating on buying a pack from Amazon just to see whats it about but the price is pretty wild and outrageous

Edit: I did pull quite a bit of 40$+ cards from retail platinum chrome but the market has changed drastically since those first came out. Those 40$+ cards are very far n few between.

These were pretty bad. as expected. couple good slabbed names but just base cards. got lucky getting two relics from the packs. couldve easily been a .5 star rating lol.

I was able to get 4 packs on eBay for $30 each. We will see how they turn out.

That Alonso on the cover is the Montgomery Club version so technically not the same. Even in a PSA 10 that Pete goes for maybe $30 not considering all the eBay fees and taxes. Pretty poor product overall and someone trying to move some low value cards they gambled to get slabbed. Not a bad idea, but not good execution here.

Zoo Packs also does Pokemon and PokeRev another TH-camr literally called these a RIP OFF. YES THESE ARE TRASH and wow the value wasn't nearly half of the cost
People that buy these are not all about reselling the cards it more about the chance of the thrill
