    I love how the kid just has a straight face the whole time 😂. He doesn’t even react at all to the cop when he realizes he’s under arrest, instead he’s like “oh I’m under arrest? Ok that’s fine no problem”.

      Me too☹️ I was praying for him!! I felt so bad for him until I decide to read the comments, so sad that there are some real cases of kids that parents don’t spend time with them, or don’t pay attention.

  • @tracer4322
    @tracer4322 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1397

    I noticed in this demonstration that the child wasn't read his Miranda rights or charges by the police when he was arrested. Honestly, that's accurate because when children are arrested in school, due process is sometimes ignored, as if they don't have rights. I've heard of children being arrested for behavior that isn't even against the law, such as yelling in class or disrespecting teachers. It baffles me that schools would choose to get the police involved and traumatize a child for life, possibly ruin their future, instead of calling a guardian.

    • @BoydofZINJ
      @BoydofZINJ 2 ปีที่แล้ว +77

      Under 18 has no rights. He can not legally agree to anything or accept any contract

    • @Ghastly1
      @Ghastly1 2 ปีที่แล้ว +45

      The law concerning interrogation of children is a little different than with adults. Generally speaking a parent or guardian needs to be present. Miranda rights are only read after somebody has been arrested and is being formally questioned, anyway.

    • @roryh2241
      @roryh2241 2 ปีที่แล้ว +26

      @traci holmer This country has an issue with understanding Miranda rights. As the comment above me said, it’s a little different for minors anyways, but police do NOT read you Miranda rights unless they are planning to formally question you.

    • @kadeb6970
      @kadeb6970 2 ปีที่แล้ว +22

      Miranda rights a heavily misunderstood. They are only ever required to be read when questioning is planned to be ensued. Children do not have rights (hence they cannot legally sign contracts, etc.). Children can be arrested for behavior not exactly violating the law but rules that the parents/guardians have signed into agreement within a school setting, basically signing on the fact that SRO's can in fact "arrest" minors for petty "offenses". But when it comes to actual law violations, it doesn't matter the age of the person when "needing" to read Miranda rights when not required, as stated above.

    I didn't see the parents being notified to be present and aware of the charges. I saw two of these and in both cases the school made a decision without parental involvement. In the first story an autistic child was being bullied. The bully got off scott free and the victim was arrested. I've also seen in actual schools where I have lived that their no tolerance policy punished the victim with the oppressor! I'm outraged by this. If I still had small children I would homeschool. Not all children are innocent, but not all are guilty.

      There was only one time in my 6 years working with special needs and at risk youth that we had to call the cops and i agreed with it 10 fold. First let me set the premise, this was no first encounter with this kid and to call him a kid is a stretch. Im 6'4 250lb and this kid could give me a run for my money when i was working with him at 22. He was probably 5'10 and pushing 200lb. He just had abnormal strength. Well on this day he punched a kid and when told to stop and they tried to restrain him (a few of the teachers are trained in take downs and special holds to prevent the child from harming themselves or someone elese (that is the ONLY time they can use it) , well when he saw the restraining people around he grabbed a pair of scissors and was trying to STAB THE TEACHERS. It was unreal. Ultimately they had to have me watch him till the cops came cause im the only one these kids dont want to murder cause im a young guy who doesnt treat them like children. Honestly i expected more out of them and they gave it. You treat them like kids theyll act like kids, yes they were still children but when i say that i mean we had 5 n 6th graders acting like 1st graders.. Throwing fits about recess and the like. The parents knew that the kid was going to be taken to juvie for the night before they called the cops, in fact the parents are the ones who said to call them before he hurt a teacher as the staff originally wanted them to come and just take the kid home for suspension and avoid involving police etc. Its a tricky situation, some of those kids really couldnt give less of a shit about you, the police, their parents, or anyone. Ive seen one spit at a cop and hit their parents. Some of these kids i really think would be better off getting scared straight in a way now, and realizing that isnt the life they want before its too late

A man called the school and said that they had destroyed a community sign at their bus stop. Instead of going and seeing if the sign was indeed destroyed they just went with what the man said. When all was said and done it turned out that he was annoyed because the kids were being loud at 6am and woke him up. He's lucky he wasn't sued! The police actually arrested him for reporting a crime that wasn't committed.

    Mid 2000’s a local middle school made a huge error in judgement and had a couple 12yo kids arrested for literal horseplay. Those kids were scarred and traumatized far more out of proportion to the “assault” they had done. They spent a week in jail until bail was set and made. They were stripped-searched daily and any time even their attorneys visited them. The Ass. Dist. Attorney wanted to make an example out of them.
    Thank god when the case came to a head, the judge had sense enough to all but dismiss the case.
    Our assistant district attorney said if she had it to do again, she’d prosecute it the same. She’s lucky she retired and moved far away. Many in the community vowed to slap her into next week if seen in public, consequences be damned. None of this should ever happen to children.

    I have PTSD from being sexually assaulted as a minor, this kid who sat behind me out of grabbed my chest and squeezed my chest. My fight or flight instincts kicked in along with my self defense training, I elbowed him in the face breaking his nose and right orbital socket I then grabbed his head and smashed it into the desk causing a gash across his forehead, the teacher rushed over to me and somehow by the grace of God got me off him. I was taken to the principal's office to calm down because my ptsd fits can last a few minutes or a few hours depending on what happened, my dad and police were called and ten minutes late he arrived at the school only to see me in handcuffs, he lost his shit and asked why I was in handcuffs and the principal said "because she attacked another student for no reason" that pissed my dad off even more because he knew better do he asked ME and the teacher who brought me in what happened. Me and the teacher said the same thing, a student grabbed and squeezed my chest causing me to go into fight or flight and I chose fight. The cop left me go, the other kids was arrested for sexual harassment and assault, was taken to the hospital and then expelled from the school. Principal had no choice, he was gonna let the kid come back but my dad threatened to sue the school for every penny they had. Even though the kid was expelled my dad pulled me from the school and him and my brothers homeschooled me.

To other teens that found this, don't and I say don't ever threaten to shoot up a school, I found that out the hard way. Public schools should not exist. They are unconstitutional. Go to a Holy Love Ministries with Internet, or take a pilgrimage there. It’s in Ohio.

    I'm so glad to see that this wasn't real.
    I have a 9 yr old son.
    One day I got a call from the school he was attending. At that time, he was 6.
    He threatened a classmate, he said, "leave me alone or I'll run you over with my daddy's truck."
    I went to the school. I told them, thank you for calling me. I checked him out early and I took him to sheriff's department, which was less than a mile.
    Now, before you judge me, I know the sheriff, the detective that was in that office and I know a lot of the deputies.
    I took my child into my friend's office who is the detective. I swear on a chair seat my son on my lap I looked him in his eyes and I told him that, you can't threaten to hurt people because when you get older and you tell someone you're going to hurt them, this is where you could end up. My friend clicked onto the cells where the few inmates were being held and showed that to my son and he told my son, this isn't a place that you ever to be in, do you see the beds and the toilets, that's all they're allowed and they don't get to wear their own clothes.
    We both spoke to my son on his level.
    My son looked scared and he teared up.
    He'll be 10 next month and there weren't any other problems at that school (I homescool him now, since the crazy coronavirus crap) and I haven't heard him say anything about wanting to hurt anyone.
    I have taught him that if someone hurts him, to tell the teacher then tell me AND I told him, when you get older, if someone hits you, and only if they hit you first, then and only then, hit them back BUT do not ever be the first to hit someone OR tell them you're going to hurt them.
    I told him that, he may not understand all of this right now, but someday he will and until then, to keep his hands to himself and don't threaten people.
    ON ANOTHER NOTE:
    Had my son been taken by law enforcement without my knowledge, they would be sued, that school would be sued, the schoolboard would be sued and that teacher would personally be sued and it's because the fact that the teacher and school are in charge of the children and when they send a child outside the school premises, that's a result of child neglect & child endangerment, no matter if it is a police officer, picking that child up.
    ALSO, the school and the teachers, not calling a parent or guardian, know very well, that most parents will go into beast mode because we're protective of our children, so then, you have parents who are more than willing to spend a night in jail for beating the shit out of the teacher and principle for not caring enough to pick up the phone and call them.

      He looked about 9.
      But it's still disturbing that they would use a child that young in a video for practice.
      A child that young isn't going to hurt an adult, therefore, the child could wait on the principal's office until their parents picked them up.
      What they need, is a video of a teenager trying to beat up the office on the school campus because that would be more believable and the officers would have better practice at they take that age to a juvenile detention facility.

    School arrests be like.
    Teacher: “ummm yes there is a student not following the rules can you come down”
    Cop: “yes what school”
    Teacher: “ Beecher prep elementary”
    Cop: “ ok we are headed that way”
    Cop again: “ the teacher says you are not following the rules. What did you do?”
    Student: “I went to the bathroom and sneezed and the teacher caught me and called you.”
    The end.

    One time when I was in high school when I was fourteen, a teacher threatened to call the police on me for something I did with a straw. (it was nine years ago, so I don’t really remember what I’d done). And when she was done threatening me she said, “All over a straw.” And I said, “This isn’t _my_ choice.” Was she stupid? She really thought to call authorities over a straw! That’s just crazy.

      @@mimimutti8760 some states do this others don’t. It’s not a national law thing. In the US the states are basically different miniature cultures or if you’d rather miniature countries. A lot of various cultures sprung out of one country in the US which is rarely seen in other countries in history. So it really just depends what state you’re in and what county.But I certainly don’t agree with it.
