Matt is seriously such a staple in the swim bait community man.. even though this wasn’t a riveting video the respect I have for trophy swim baiting is real! My favourite video of yours man!
Brother, I've gotten into large swimbaits myself this year and let me tell you its a commitment! With these baits it's all or nothing, very few bites but when you do get bit it's all worth it.
Just got my first glidebait today, and saw the biggest bass ive ever seen in my home lake follow it in on the second cast, im all over it now keep up the swimbait vids
Everyone has one of those days! One of my greatest moments was, me, my brother and dad were about 2 miles from the dock and our cranking battery and trolling decided to crap out. Of course it was about 15 minutes from night time, so me and my brother got to row our way in with a board (we found on the shore line) and a broken wooden or (broke on the 5th stroke). The best part is, we were in a HEAVY tri hole boat from the 70s... Great memories! It sucked at the time, but now we can sit back and laugh about it.
Hey man just wanted to say thank you for these videos. Your a inspiration to me to be a better fisherman. As some one with PTSD it give me mental peace to be on the water and just getting out there fishing even if I don't catch a damn thing. Keep up the good work bro.
Nice to hear info on the pause, my go to lures are all very pausable and always gives great results unless they just arent doing snything I can get reaction
I just got into throwing swimbaits this spring. By far one of my favorite ways to fish now after the couple of days I had. Cannot wait to learn more and more. I just bought me the ROF5 Huddleston Bluegill, hoping that will bring me some fatties! Love the vids, Keep em pumping!
If you're doing southern San Diego you should hit up lake Dixon, Wohlford, Poway, Mira Mar or San Vincente. All have big bass 10 pounds and over and many have had giants caught on swimbaits
Great vid brother! Long time local derby angler here.. If you ever come down around Grand Lake Oklahoma give a holler.. Be glad to show you around Grand! I've bin fishing it and the many other lakes around here for over 25 years.. Great job hand! Keep it up..
Around these parts (Intermountain West) those 8 inch swim baits, fished on the surface like a catch and release casualty like that, seem like they're more likely to catch a seagull fishing in the middle of the day like that. Seems more like a twilight bait. I say that because I've seen a small, poorly released rainbow behave like that and get eaten by a gull. But you're the pro, so, I'll try anything once.
Awesome informational video. Even without catches it’s always great to learn new things and it’s awesome u still post them so we all can learn more about catching fish
Watching south trout eaters and butch brown convinced me to try out swimbaits I used everything else and could catch fish but swimbaits is a totally different way of fishing and love it I may catch less fish but the reward is awesome
Glad to see you in Cali man, I live 2 hours south from San Diego. I try to fish out that way as much as I can. Great video and all your others, you have taught me a lot on things I would have never tried. It not only improved my fishing, but gained a lot of knowledge on how to do things.
I've never really tried big swimbaits BUT I would love for you to come up to Michigan & we'll through some around together. Big bass, GIANT pike, it doesn't get much better!
Bring those big swim baits up to Massachusetts and fish the Merrimack river behind my house, for Stripers! We have a guest room if you need a place to stay!
Huge fan, Iowa boy starting a channel this spring called "fishing with the fam." Focusing on Cats and Large mouth. Really enjoy your videos keep up the good work.
That's my home lake and it can be a grind there. The summer frog bite is on point though, come on back when it warms up man and get ready for a great time
you the man bro I just bought a little small bass boat I would love to have them swimbaits with my new boat lol keep it up bro I like your videos I watch them all the time.
Swimbaits are more versatile than people think. I routinely fish a 6" and 8" Savage Trout in baby bass (the baby bass mimmics a young brown trout) and rainbow patterns and I don't fish for bass at all. I'm in the Colorado high country and all we have around us is Trout lol. When I first moved here the locals laughed at me and told me I should have left my bass tackle back in Texas, I hooked into a 35" 14lb Brown Trout on a 8" Savage Gear Line Thru in Baby Bass pattern. They quit laughing after that lol
I love that rate of stall theory. Always had the thought process just he explains it alot better. You should come to Colorado/ four corners and do swimbaits.
I am just getting into Swimbait fishing but not a lot of luck in the small ponds I fish. Hopefully I can get the kayak out and try some bigger bodies of water.
Do a regional tour (i.e. Midwest, East, etc). In each region, do a large body of water and a small body of water preferably with different forage. You can highlight various applications of big swimbaits in those settings to give a more complete guide to anglers.
Rend Lake-Illinois morning then Kentucky Lake-afternoon and finally evening one of the two rivers before hitting Guntersville! Great information in this video! Checking out the other videos you recommend!
You have to come out to Florida! I thought that's where you were heading out before I realized you went to Cali. Super pumped still of course because this series has been sick!
Alright, bro! I have now watched every single video of yours since I moved to Omaha last year. In a mildly creepy/stalker-ish sort of way, that makes me your biggest fan. I should at least get to touch your boat or something. All kidding aside, I think I did see you at the lake in Omaha with all the docks and some pads. I didn't know who you were at the time. Otherwise, I would have geeked out and yelled across the lake like some groupie.
Just found your channel. I'm learning a lot and I'm excited to watch all of your videos. I live in Las Vegas and I'd like to see a video of you guys using those big swimbaits on the Colorado River below Hoover Dam targeting stripers. There are monsters there and one of their main food sources are the stocked trout. Looking forward to it!!
Sick SoCal trip. Thanks for Grinding on the water in Cali. It's a lot of work but we love the vids. Keep the content coming. Swimbaits in Indiana. (Brookville Lake)
Next time try coming back to California in November and try Los Banos creek, usually November is the time it gets trout stocked in the lake and that lake is full of 5-14 pounders
Please come to the Northeast at some point! Nobody ever comes to New England 😢 I know it’s not known for huge fish but there are some cool places to fish. You come should to the Quabbin Reservoir... I got like a 4 lb smallie there and there are some massive fish

This was a great format. Found myself rewinding some spots to watch twice.
Hey man just wanted to say thank you for these videos. Your a inspiration to me to be a better fisherman. As some one with PTSD it give me mental peace to be on the water and just getting out there fishing even if I don't catch a damn thing. Keep up the good work bro.

Great information. This is the best so far. To hear you describe the mental aspects of fishing is great.
That trout looks amazing. Swim baits look fun to throw. Big swim action
I love swimbait fishing! You should go striper fishing with giant swimbaits!
I love the informative videos! You have helped my fishing grow a rediculous amount and have helped me catch my pb!
I'm from Cali , but it would be interesting to see how they would work at lake fork or rayburn, somewhere in Texas.
your day is like my last few times going out in Socal lol.
Much respect fishing with those guys.
Giant swimbaits look like a blast to cast!
If you're doing southern San Diego you should hit up lake Dixon, Wohlford, Poway, Mira Mar or San Vincente. All have big bass 10 pounds and over and many have had giants caught on swimbaits

Whens the giveaway bro!!!!
Very educational video. I think it would be cool for you to apply these swim bait techniques in a large river system(such as the Mississippi/Missouri)
I am just getting into Swimbait fishing but not a lot of luck in the small ponds I fish. Hopefully I can get the kayak out and try some bigger bodies of water.
Always wanted to try a 68. But don't know if they work in my home state of MI. Id love to see you fish here.
Awsome advise with mental tughness. Livin the dream with an awesome team!!

Never took the ri$k to buy a swim bait. Would love to try out that trio! Sick video despite no Cali slaunches. Tight lines!
