I love the speed and the efficiency, that you go through this tutorial, straight forward and to the point, excellent narrative and tone. I just subscribed and gave you a well deserved thumbs up! Thank you!
Not sure if this was mentioned in video but if not, should note that onedrive requires NTFS filing system so don't move it to a drive that is anything else. I did that and I just wasted a ton of time.
Great video! I had started downloading my files from OneDrive to the computer then realized they would not fit on my small C: drive. Moving OneDrive to my D: drive was the solution but I didn't not how to do it until i found your video. You are a life saver. Great job. Thanks!!!
Thank you! I have a 500GB and I can't get a new one just yet, but as a game developer, I want to keep my projects on my SSD, but it fills up space fast. Moving OneDrive opened up 90GB of space!
Just been told by MS support that the Onedrive folder can only support files on that drive - very odd. But great video at the perfect time - thanks. Completely unclogged the C drive.
I don't understand. I did exactly that, even uninstalled and reinstalled OneDrive after erasing any trace of it being on my computer. I can see my OneDrive files being in my D file, it's all good. Yet it's still taking up space in my C Drive When I search for OneDrive in Everything, it tells me that the one drive is indeed still in C What am I supposed to do about that?
It looks very straight forward. MS technician told me onedrive onle syncs with C drive. I was bit puzzled. My C drive also very small and wanted to move onedrive to d drive.
Hi. I just finish to move onedrive carpet and i have a question. I can see all my documents in my new folder but i wonder if its possible not to activate and login one drive again because i hate it i have a lot of documents so its getting really slow when i synchronize the account so i dont want to login anymore. It is possible? Thanks for the info it was really helpful 👍
Hi...great video. I only have a "C" drive on my laptop, but I think OneDrive was installed incorrectly. All files residing on my desktop have the "OneDrive" in the naming path. Can you tell me where OneDrive should be properly installed? Also, can I put it on an external SSD? Thanks very much
Are there any special requirements for the drive you are moving OneDrive to? When I tried to do this I received a message that the drive was not formatted with the correct format.
I want to not use OneDrive and have everything on my SSD. Already did this for my Desktop, but I can't seem to find how to do it for photos, for example. It keeps telling me OneDrive is full as if I ever turned the thing on.. I don't know why they think people want to use OneDrive for every single thing by default.
A warning. If you are using OneDrive on a second computer, there could be problems if the two are on different drives. Take for example a shortcut on the desktop. A link created on computer A with C:Onedrive will not work on computer B with D:Onedrive. Programs that call OneDrive files also have same problem. If you are short on space and use two computers, I'd recommend upgrading SSD on the problem one instead.
Thanks for the tutorial, I do have another issue now, I am linking some folders in other drives to onedrive and there is a standard sentence to paste into CMD which will link the file, now with the onedrive moved I cant link with that standard sentence, can you perhaps assist?
Hi, after doing many and many searches on the subject, I couldn't find any answers, and being a computer technician, it's a bit disappointing ^^ Is it possible to synchronize multiple OneDrive folders (therefore with multiple drives)? Thanks :)
You'd honestly figure microsoft would actually be more considerate about providing more information on this kinda stuff, but that wouldn't get as many of their products sold for them to keep us buying more and more space/PCs/etc., now would it? Its truly disgusting how hawkish the human race is toward itself. The things that could be done if we actually worked together instead of feasting upon one-another...*sigh*

I'm having the same problem have u fixed it ?
same situation here, just commenting in case either of you have found a solution
what about the space all the softwares take up on it? so they still stay on the computer once you move everything to another drive

I did this and now my valorant keeps crashing and showing an error code about my graphics drivers being out of date?

Probably symlinks?
@@TroubleChute interesting, thanks bro
nice!
God bless you
My getting started window did not open
Really I can unlink my pc. Go in my One Drive Delete or Cut a file to free up space from the One Drive itself.
Brother, were you in a hurry, if not why were you talking so fast ! It's hard to get. BTW , it helped. Thanks..

Uh, not terribly helpful, because my OneDrive 'Settings' menu looks completely different to how this one does.
