What is known is that after just nine months of marriage, Mrs. Earp died, probably of typhus / typhoid fever. This occurred shortly before or in childbirth.
Sadly, the child was stillborn. This was Wyatt Earp's only child.

The Angel face you see is the Haserot, named “The Angel of Death Victorious". The stoic angel is seated on the marble gravestone of canning entrepreneur Francis Haserot and his family. Holding an extinguished torch upside-down, it represents a symbol of life extinguished. Wings are outstretched and the gaze is straight ahead.
IN THE END, DEATH ALWAYS WINS. LEST THE FACES NOT BE FORGOTTEN...
This channel is focused on casually walking and viewing a handful of the thousands of forgotten names and faces at various cemeteries near and afar. Seeing their faces up close. And when able, telling the stories behind their names.
Most graves are unknown and lost to history.
    Some are famous.
    And some infamous....
    ....and some with tragic endings.

Your tribute to Urilla was very nicely done. I am her brother Frederick's great grandson and speaking for the Sutherland family, wish to say thank you for your interest in Urilla's life and her place of rest. She helped in the hotel with her mother, cooking, serving and cleaning while the brothers worked in the hotel stables doing saddlery and leather work. The only photo i had of Frederick was taken in 1940 in front of his home in Columbus, KS with my dad on his tricycle. Keep up your good work Sir and once again, Thank you!

Those little headstones resting up against that big tree breaks my heart 💔 So does this story. ☹️ Losing both mommy and baby does that to someone. 😔 Especially back then. Wild times. That was a sweet thing to do getting her a new stone. This is history untouched. Beautiful..🕊

As a huge western buff, living in Wichita, where Wyatt really began his famous legendary life, this part is, probably, the most tragic. Had Urilla lived, Wyatt would have never reached our history books nor the dime novels. Funny how fate crosses our paths in life and changes our direction forever...good or bad.
Thanks Ron...a great story brought to life by your story telling.👏

  • @5809AUJG

Urilla was the only woman that Wyatt ever actually married in a legal ceremony. Others he got involved with were cohabiting relationships. I cannot help but wonder if Wyatt really ever got over losing Urilla and their baby. That may have been why he was wary of legal marriages. He was quite an enigma....his history is fascinating. Thank you for thinking of finding Urilla Earp's and their baby's resting place.

I love all the old cemetery you show, so fascinating, looking at the head stones. So much history.
Ron have you ever done anything on the First Nations people’s burials?

Beautiful video from start to finish. I contracted typhoid while based in Indonesia in 1995. Treatment was dodgy then but I can't imagine how she would have suffered with their limited medical help. Sad for all of them.

It never fails. I cry at the beginning and the end of almost every video. It's your editing, the music and realisum that's shown in the production of your story telling, it's something very special.

Dear Ron and Subscribers: Faces of the Forgotten is my favorite TH-cam Channel. The reason why is because it's about the people that lived in the past that has made a difference in the now times and our future even though we might not realize it. When I view the video's and read the comments I know that I am on the same wave link as most people. It's not about negative current politics, covid-19, recent celebrities, and the hogwash of today. Thanks to the "Faces of the Forgotten" community for allowing me to read comments that are respectful and sensitive to the people of today and the people of yesterday. Ron you should be so proud of what you present in each video. It seems as though I have learned more from your videos than I got from all of the history classes from school. Thanks for bringing attention to the forgotten souls. Sylvia Rowe-North Carolina.

Such a sad story, this one really REALLY touched me, wish I could send or donate a little lamb head stone for the unborn child being two souls resting together there.
