I actually use to work with Wayne at LJS as a cook. He was my trainer when I started. He was one of the nicest people I met. So personable, philosophical, an almost sinister personality and passionate. He always requested Halloween off and he even gave me some of his earliest albums. I have nothing but good memories with him.

That was great. I mean I started watching Sunday Morning with my parents in my teens, and my mom passed 8 years ago. Something about him talking about his dad passing, and his song lyrics... was really touching.
Wayne Coyn lives in my neighborhood In Oklahoma and it's always weird whenever I see him at a four way stop sign, at Ace or Walmart 😂. He's just a regular schmegler guy in the neighborhood. I have only seen him by himself so he doesn't get around in the neighborhood with bodyguards or anything like that.
@@yepalright624 I remember over 20 years ago, I think it was him that had a bunch of toilets in their yard and said it was an art installation! 😅. I don't think I actually went over to see it because I was pretty young at that time but I heard every one talk about it.
@@bluealvey yeah Brad Pitt's grandma was in the nursing home with my grandma at Rose Manor in Shawnee. I had a reporter message me a few years ago wanting to ask about his grandma but I didn't respond.
i got to go to one of these shows with my mom who’s the one who showed me the flaming lips when i was little and it was so fun it was a super unique experience the bubble does get a bit sweaty as the show goes on but overall a really fun experience unlike any other show i’ve been to a must see for flaming lips fans if they end up doing more!
It's sooo weird to watch a piece on the Flaming Lips on a Main Stream Media outlet! Not a big dent in the national zeitgeist, judging from the low number of hits, and... You know what? That's GOOD, definitely not for the commercially obsessed masses... I've been a Fan since the early 90's, and consider their 2020 album "American Head" the best that year, hands down... Indie Rock is just Beautiful... Great reporting CBS, thank you... 🥰🎶

Wayne wrote, produced, directed, scored and starred in a film called "Christmas On Mars." Most Flaming Lips fans enjoyed it, I guess.....but it's weirdness probably eliminated his chances in Hollywood.
@@mojomusica.0169 the movie itself isn’t my fave and this is coming from a die hard flaming lips fan but he built pretty much all of the sets and shot all of it in his backyard he used an old underground gas tank that was dug up from a gas station when it was demolished for the inside of the space ship so just knowing how it was made is more fun that watching the actual movie it’s so crazy how it was really all DIY def look up the making behind it if you get a chance it’s super interesting! like it’s really crazy how the stuff was made vs. how it looked in the movie!
